Chapter 3 — The Mysterious Heir

A female student wearing Chanel earrings smiled softly.
"Your skin is quite white. It seems like you've been lazy in the mountains a lot and avoided doing farm work, right?"
"Nhu Nhu, you're really too kind. You even stood in front of the school gate waiting for her. This type of country person has never seen the world like this, so you should let her go find the teaching room herself."
Phuong Nhu quickly pulled the girl's sleeve, her eyes turned red.
"Lo Lo, don't say that. She has no choice, she doesn't have the right to choose her background."
"I've already transferred all my pocket money to her. I hope she can quickly adapt to life here."
Truly a pure, flawless white lotus. With just a few sentences, she not only affirmed my "countryside" status, but also successfully built the image of an honest, generous sister for herself. I quietly watched their awkward group drama. Don't get angry, don't object. Just felt a bit funny.
“Are you done talking yet?”
I pulled out the arm that Phuong Nhu was holding and gently brushed away the non-existent dust on my sleeve.
“If your free time can only be spent gossiping about other people's private lives, I suggest you sign up for an intelligence training class in the village.”
"Anyway, in the field of gossip, you girls are quite talented."
The expression of the female student wearing earrings immediately changed.
“What are you that you dare talk to me like that?”
“Enough, Lo Lo!”
Phuong Minh Trach's voice came from not far away. He wore a well-tailored student council uniform, frowned and walked quickly.
“Am Am, what are you doing?”
His eyes looked at me like he was looking at a troublemaker who couldn't be saved.
"Lo Lo is the golden girl of Vuong Thi Group. She just casually joked with me, do I have to force her so aggressively?"
“Do you know that if you do that, you will make the Phuong family offend others?”
Phuong Minh Trach turned to look at the female student named Lo Lo, her voice immediately softened.
"Sorry, my sister just came back from the countryside, her personality is a bit reserved. Don't be mean to her."
Lo Lo coldly snorted, proudly raising her chin.
"It's just to respect seniors Minh Trach and Nhu Nhu. If not, I will definitely let her know Thanh Dieu's rules today."
Phuong Minh Trach breathed a sigh of relief, turned around and glared at me sternly.
"Don't hurry to the academic department to enroll! Don't stand here and make Nhu Nhu lose face."
I looked at Phuong Minh Trach's impatient expression, wanting to erase the relationship and protect outsiders. Even a little bit of excess emotion is too lazy to give him.
“Get away.”
I passed them and went straight to the school gate. The head of the educational department is a flatterer who values status. Seeing me not wearing a uniform and coming to school alone, he didn't even bother to lift his eyelids.
“Phuong Am, right?”
He flipped through the documents on the table.
"The Phuong family has already warned you. Your basic knowledge is too poor, go to class F."
Thanh Dieu School's classes are ranked based on family background and achievements. Class A is the true top noble circle, while Class F is where the marginal people and the places that get into the school are through connections.
"Okay."
I picked up the admission notice, turned around and left the staff room. In the hallway, I often saw Phuong Nhu coming out after class. She held a few Starbucks cups in her hand, sharing them with her classmates. Seeing the F class admission notice in my hand, she pretended to be surprised and covered her mouth.
“Sister, why were you placed in class F?”
Her voice wasn't loud, but loud enough for everyone in the hallway to hear.
"Originally, I was planning on asking my eldest brother to arrange for you to go to class B with me, so I can take care of you more conveniently."
"But class F is okay. As long as you try hard, one day you will learn the knowledge of city people."
The surrounding students immediately burst out into soft laughter.
"Class F? Isn't that a place for nouveau riche and country folk?"
"Even the Phuong family doesn't value her, how do you expect the school to treat her well?"
I looked at Phuong Nhu's innocent face, folded the newspaper and put it in my pocket.
“Thank you for your concern, sister.”
I smiled softly, leaned close to her ear, and used a voice that only the two of us could hear.
“I hope you can still laugh happily like that in the future.”
Phuong Nhu's face turned a little pale, as if she was stabbed by my calm eyes. But I didn't pay attention to her anymore and went directly towards class F located at the end of the most secluded stairs. Morning classes are extremely boring. The things the teacher taught on the podium, I had learned since the age of eight in lessons with a private tutor. I lay down on the table, boredly turning the pen in my hand. In the afternoon, there was a school-wide lecture, said to be held in Thanh Dieu's largest hall. Phuong Minh Trach especially sent me a message, with a tough tone:
