Chapter 8
Chapter 8 — The Snow Melts, The Sun Shines On The Green Mountains
9 The day of the signing ceremony, Trac Kien Hung actually arrived. He brought along lawyers, media and a copy of DNA test results. We then investigated how the test sample was taken. Phuong Man Le took advantage of my health check-up at the district hospital to bribe the cleaning staff to take the paper cup I used to use. The process is not valid, but the result is real. Trac Kien Hung stopped me in front of the hall door.
“Chieu Tinh, we don't want family matters to become a big deal.”
The camera behind him was turned on. I glanced at the lens.
“Are you bringing the media here because you're afraid the family matter isn't big enough?”
Phuong Man Le covered her mouth and cried.
“I just want to take you home.”
There are more and more people watching. Someone recognized me as the girl returning to her hometown in the video, everyone raised their phones. Trac Kien Hung handed the test report to me.
“The law and bloodline both prove that you are the daughter of the Trac family.”
I don't accept it.
“The law doesn't say that.”
My lawyer spread the abandoned child registration form on the table. Behind the notice to find relatives that year, flip another page to find the adoption certificate, proving that Luong Quoc Dong and Tuong Tu Lan had completed all the procedures. I read that piece of paper in front of the camera.
“Daughter, born prematurely, don't look.”
Phuong Man Le's face turned pale.
“It wasn't me who wrote it.”
“Can examine handwriting.”
"At that time, it was your father who decided, I couldn't stop it!"
Trac Kien Hung suddenly turned his head.
“What are you talking about?”
The two people have not even agreed on their testimony. Some people in the crowd burst into laughter. I held up another photo. The photo was taken the same day I was thrown away. In front of the old hotel door in the city, there is a banner:
"Congratulations to Mr. Trac Kien Hung for opening a new store, happy holidays."
“The two said their family was poor and could not support their premature daughter.”
"But also on that day, Mr. Trac's new store opened. Business registration records show that that year the two people owned two houses and a store."
Trac Kien Hung took a step forward.
"The previous generation's concepts are problematic, we admit. But over the years we have always felt guilty."
“Always?”
The employee projected a yellowed page of notes onto the screen. The black car used to arrive at the beginning of the village after my high school exam. Besides the license plate, Luong Thu Nghia also recorded the last name of the person who came to inquire. In additional documents kept by the police station, there is also the same series of numbers. ## Chapter 7 The person who registered the car that year was the Trac Thi company.
“Eleven years ago, the two of you found Thanh Thach Ao.”
I looked at Phuong Man Le.
“Why don't you accept?”
She didn't say.
“I speak for you.”
"At that time, I was just a poor student who had just passed the district's No. 1 High School. Taking me in would cost money."
"Now I have built a cooperative and received a nomination for industrial development from the district. If you accept me, you will earn money."
On Trac Kien Hung's forehead, sweat began to break out.
"Business cooperation is beneficial to both sides. You don't have to talk about such difficult relationships."
“Friendship?”
I took the cooperation contract they had prepared out of the document bag. The contract was written in a very roundabout way. I asked my lawyer to mark it with a red pen. Trac Thi will take control, brand and production management rights. Thanh Thach Ao spends money on processing and available supplies, but can only follow their arrangements in the future. In the core team there is only one name. Trac Tu Hang.
“You two said you would give me shares.”
I turned to the appendix.
"My share will be revoked if I quit my job. Trac Tu Hang did not put in a single penny, but has a permanent share."
I pushed the contract back.
“On the lips there is always talk of friendship, but in the contract it is all about acquisition.”
"Normal acquisitions at least require real money. You two are more economical, just want to use the word 'girl' to get it for free."
I don't know who in the backseat scolded:
“The abacus has gone all the way to the mountain.”
The cameras immediately turned to Trac Kien Hung. He lowered his voice.
“Do you have to go to such extremes?”
“The person in love did that twenty-six years ago.”
I gave him a lawyer's statement.
"From today, please stop contacting me, my family members and cooperative members in the name of relatives. If I use my name or image for propaganda without permission, I will sue."
Phuong Man Le suddenly rushed forward, trying to grab my hand. Tuong Tu Lan is faster than her. Mom pulled me behind.
“Just talk, don't touch my daughter.”
Luong Quoc Dong, Luong Tranh, Luong Thu Nghia and twenty-three households of Thanh Thach Ao all stood behind me. Trieu Khanh Phat shouted loudly:
"That year I didn't need it, now I'm running to rob you. Do you buy facial skin wholesale by weight?"
The crowd couldn't help but laugh. Even the officer in charge of maintaining order turned away. I looked at Trac Kien Hung.
“Want to be my parents? Fine.”
“First of all, explain why, on the day you abandoned me, you two held a baby shower for your son in the house?”
Phuong Man Le immediately objected:
"Tu Hang is one year younger than you, so where can you get a party?"
I'm waiting for this sentence.
