Chapter 4 — The Truth Will Always Be Proven One Day

Inside the Science and Technology Arbitration Court, the atmosphere was suffocatingly tense. The entire auditorium was filled with people. Seven senior judges of the Science and Technology Arbitration Council, the independent investigation team of the group's legal department, many leading academicians and two powerful lawyers from both sides took turns sitting. In the middle of the hall is a giant super high resolution projection screen. In the upper right corner of the screen, the number of people watching the livestream has exceeded thirty million. To Dao sat in the plaintiff's chair. Her face was still pale from blood loss, but her spine was as straight as a drawn bow. Her mother stood in the front row of the audience area, occasionally wiping her tears with her worn sleeve.

"Oh my god..."

"Please have mercy on those at the bottom like us."

"I just want to change my life, why do I have to have my whole future swallowed up by others..."

Chairman Chu tapped the wooden hammer hard.

"Keep order."

"Today's arbitration session will clarify three issues."

"First, is Ms. Le Nac's right to name the 'Thanh Ngon' project legal or not?"

"Second, is the accusation of Ms. Le Nac of stealing the research results made by Ms. To Dao valid enough or not?"

"Third, is there any abuse of power or modification of system data by senior leaders within the corporation?"

As soon as the words fell, To Dao immediately raised his hand.

"Chairman, I would like to present the evidence first."

Chairman Chu nodded slightly. To Dao immediately took the documents and a USB from the file bag and passed them to the court clerk. The first piece of evidence is her internal test simulation results table. The giant chart quickly appeared on the screen.

"These are the results of last month's final assessment."

"My language modeling logic scores top the entire department."

The second piece of evidence is a screenshot of an internal test from three years ago. In the photo, I'm sleeping right on my desk. The computer screen next to it was filled with bright red ERROR letters. System score: To Dao's voice echoed throughout the auditorium through the speaker system, trembling but full of frustration.

"She doesn't understand anything about natural language processing."

"Even the basic context tree or algorithm mapping is indistinguishable."

"But on the last day before the patent was declassified..."

"...she suddenly became the sole core founder of the 'Spirit Speech' project."

"Everyone tell me..."

"Does that make sense?"

"Could it happen?"

A female reporter in the press area immediately stood up.

"Director Le Nac."

"How would you explain the picture full of translation errors and the thirty-nine score displayed on the screen?"

I just glanced at the photo.

"It was an inter-departmental IT knowledge test given to all new employees three years ago."

"That day I had a very high fever because of a bad cold."

"Furthermore, I'm not good at software programming syntax."

"After doing it for a while, I collapsed and fell asleep."

After hearing that, To Dao immediately burst into cold laughter.

"High fever?"

"What a coincidence."

"Every time there's an exam related to software algorithms, she always has a high fever."

I turned to calmly look at her.

"Same every time?"

To Dao's eyes wavered in the blink of an eye. But right after that, she immediately raised her voice.

"Don't make excuses!"

"You just need to answer in front of more than thirty million viewers..."

"Is it your account that the person who took the test and got thirty-nine points?"

I nodded calmly. Immediately, the comments section on the livestream exploded again. 【She admitted it!】 【Iron proof is here!】 【A person who can't even run a program has a national science award in his name. What a joke of the technology world!】 Seeing me admit it, To Dao immediately rushed forward. She opened the third evidence.

"This is the entire compilation history on my personal cloud storage system."

"The date of creation of the core source code of 'Spirit Tongue' is clearly recorded."

"It's ten days earlier than the time the Intellectual Property Office declassified the patent."

"It should have been me standing on the podium receiving the award."

Chairman Chu frowned slightly and interrupted.
