Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — Total Surveyor
"Hello, is it 110? I want to report to the police. The address is 'Van Dinh Thien Khuyet', attic of building A. There are people gathering here to be lewd, disturbing order, and threatening my personal safety."
My voice is not loud. But in the quiet hallway, every word clearly fell on everyone's ears. Ha Ban and Luc Canh Minh's faces immediately changed.
“You dare call the police?” Ha Ban roared.
“Whether I dare or not, you can try.”
I held the phone and looked at him coldly.
“The police will arrive in five minutes. At that time, your bar will be suspended or my survey work will continue, let the police decide.”
The drunk guest also sobered up a bit. Seeing that I really called the police, he shrank his neck and did not dare to move forward anymore. Luc Canh Minh glared at me, then pulled the angry Ha Ban aside and said a few words in a low voice. Ha Ban's face changed continuously. In the end he still had to give in.
“Okay! Very good!”
He pointed at me.
"Let me measure! I want to see what you can measure! How much did my bar lose today? Please remember it for me!"
He went back into the bar.
"Sorry everyone! There are some technical problems today, business is temporarily closed! I will cover all costs today!"
The crowd stirred for a while, but eventually left one by one. Luc Canh Minh's face turned pale and he opened the door leading to the terrace.
“Miss Ninh, please.”
There was suppressed anger in his voice. I led my team up the rooftop stairs. The moment of decisive battle... has come.

The terrace has been renovated beyond recognition. The entire original green landscape was flattened. Instead there is a giant bar and dozens of tables and chairs scattered around. The air was filled with the unpleasant smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke. My team quickly deployed equipment, placing scanners in the corners of the rooftop. The green laser grid lit up again. Every inch of the terrace's structure began to be scanned. I walked to the edge of the terrace, looking down at the city below. Luc Canh Minh and Ha Ban stood not far away, like two supervisors, staring at us.
“President Ninh,” To Viet walked next to me and lowered his voice.
“Initial data shows that… the load-bearing structure of the terrace has problems.”
I'm a little moved.
“Be more clear.”
“Simply put, to expand the usable area, they thinned part of the load-bearing wall, and built a few additional structures that were not in the original drawings.”
“The weight of this bar… has exceeded the design load-bearing limit of the terrace.”
“This is a huge safety risk.”
I looked towards Luc Canh Minh and Ha Ban. Those two guys only thought about how to make money from the rooftop. Never thought... they were sitting on a time bomb. In my head, a bolder plan gradually took shape.
“To Viet.”
“Create the most detailed, most intuitive report on all data. Especially the load deviation and illegal construction.”
“Yes.”
“More,” I continued, my voice calm.
"Send the drone up. Focus on measuring all the auxiliary structures on the rooftop, including the bar and illegally built canopy."
“Clear.”
The drone flew up, making a buzzing sound. Like a falcon circling in the air, taking in the entire terrace into view. Seeing the drone, Ha Ban tried to cause trouble again, but was interrupted by Luc Canh Minh pulled back.
"Just let them spin! What about spinning? Can they still destroy my bar?" Ha Ban growled.
Luc Canh Minh said nothing. But there was a barely perceptible flash of panic in his eyes. He may not understand measuring techniques. But he clearly understood eight words:
“Illegal construction”
“Safety risk.”
An hour later, all data was collected.
“President Ninh, it's all done.” To Viet reported.
I nodded and turned to Luc Canh Minh and Ha Ban.
“Thank you both for your cooperation. Our work is over.”
After saying that, I led the team away. In their surprised eyes. Ha Ban chased after him.
"That's it? You're done destroying my business and just leaving?"
I stopped walking. Turn your head to look at him. The corners of his lips curled into a meaningful smile.
“Boss Ha, don't rush.”
“We... will meet again soon.”
