Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — Transcending the Sky into a Master of Destiny
I clenched my hands, digging my nails deep into my palms, then turned around and went down the mountain. Halfway up the mountain, there was a person standing in front. Trieu Hanh. In his hand he carried a bag of Thanh Hoa seeds. On the wooden tag tied to the mouth of the bag, the words "waste spirit field" are clearly visible.
“Those are my supplies.”
“It's mine now.”
He circled behind me and kicked me, causing me to fall face down into the mud. His chin hit the crushed stone, and the fishy taste of blood immediately filled his mouth. He lifted his legs, squatted in front of me, casually picked up a handful of spiritual seeds and scattered them on the mud.
“Do you want to get it? Then crawl over there and pick up each seed.”
I didn't move, he grabbed the back of my shirt and forced me forward. My hands sink deep into the mud. Trieu Hanh stepped on the back of my hand and slowly crushed it twice.
"Without the spirit species, I want to see how you live. Wait for you to be hungry for a few days and you will naturally learn to be obedient."
After speaking, he turned and left. On the mountain road, there was only me and Thanh Hoa seeds covered in mud. I knelt in the muddy water, picking up seeds one by one. As long as it can be grown alive, this little humiliation is not worth it. But after returning to abandoned spirit field, Tieu Bach only checked one grain and his face turned gloomy.
“These seeds cannot be used.”
I was surprised:
“Why?”
It separates the seed shell. The embryo inside had already broken into powder. I was not satisfied, so I continuously peeled a few more seeds. Every seed is the same. Trieu Hanh used spiritual power to crush the embryo before. He scattered them in the mud just to watch me suffer humiliation, then personally picked up a pile of completely useless items. Killing intent swirled in Tieu Cuu's eyes.
“Let's go find him.”
“Don't go.”
I gathered the damaged seeds, my voice a bit hoarse. Trieu Hanh is an inner sect disciple and a middle-class Destiny Master, while Tieu Cuu and the others have just recovered. We cannot let them suffer because of a moment of anger. In the memory of my original body, ten miles away there is Lac Tinh Coc, where wild Thanh Hoa grows. The only problem is that in the cup there is a mid-level Armored Liao Pig. The original body had seen it from afar once, and after returning, had nightmares for three days. I wiped the blood and mud from my hands and picked up the rusty pickaxe.
“Come, let's find Thanh Hoa county.”
The ten-mile mountain road is not easy to travel. Tieu Cuu walked close to my feet. When he encountered a steep slope, he used his tail to support me. A Thanh flew ahead to find the way, always criticizing us for being slow, but every time he stopped at the top of the tree to wait. Vien Vien lay on my shoulder. After walking less than a mile, he began to complain of fatigue.
“You haven't taken a step yet.”
“If you lie down, you will be tired.”
Tieu Bach is in charge of receiving sugar, Com Com is in charge of confirming what can be eaten on the roadside. The third time I took the stone out of its mouth, I couldn't help but ask:
“Were you a trash can in your previous life?”
“What is a trash can?”
“A profession that is very suitable for you.”
After entering Lac Tinh Coc, the gray mist became thicker and thicker. Tieu Cuu swept his tail, and the fog immediately separated to the sides. I look at the tree leaves without moving:
“Do you still know how to dispel dew?”
“The wind blows.”
The wind today really knows how to look at faces. Not having gone far, Tieu Bach lightly tapped the ground. The rubble automatically split open, revealing a pool of spiritual spring and several roots of Condensing Blood Grass. As soon as Vien Vien arrived at the stream, a flock of birds and animals proactively surrounded him, even the rabbit The cripple also crawled into its lap. I patted its head:
“Everyone likes you very much.”
Vien Vien immediately rushed into my arms:
“I only like master!”
Right after that, Tieu Cuu's tail curled up and threw him out again. Before Vien Vien had time to ruffle his feathers, an angry roar suddenly rang out deep in the valley. A lion clad in black armor, as tall as a small mountain, broke through the entire forest and rushed out. Behind it is the Thanh Hoa we want to find. I turned around decisively:
“I'm sorry, I'm sorry.”
But the Armored Pig Liao Tru rushed forward. A Thanh dived from above, the blue fire crystal forced it off course. Tieu Bach stepped on the ground, a rock just caught his front leg. Vien Vien let out a low cry, his eyes immediately became dreamy. Tieu Cuu's tail quietly swept over his hind legs. Com Com took the opportunity to open his mouth and bite off its spiritual body. But when A Thanh swooped down and swept dust into the sky, we could only hear a loud explosion. Waiting for the smoke and dust to clear, the lion as big as a small mountain flew three meters away, crashing into the cliff. The five beasts looked at me simultaneously, each with a more innocent expression than the other. I look at the fruit peel on the ground:
“Did it slip?”
Tieu Bach nodded:
“Master observes very delicately.”
We successfully dug up Thanh Hoa seeds. Before leaving, Com Com pointed to the comatose pig and asked:
“Is this edible?”
The pig trembled all over.
“If you're alive, don't eat.”
He closed his eyes and breathed a sigh of relief. Returning to the abandoned spirit field, A Thanh brought a little rain, Tieu Bach opened the spiritual spring, Com Com swallowed all the polluted air, and Vien Vien lay in the field to promote the growth of seedlings. Tieu Cuu sat next to me, using her tail to block the sun. The abandoned field is dyed green little by little. In my previous life, I always wanted to save money to rent a house with a yard, then take in small animals that no one wanted to adopt. Until I die, I still cannot do it. Unexpectedly, when I changed to another world, I had a ruined house, a deserted field, and five friends to eat. I brushed the mud off my hands.
"From now on, this is our home. As long as I have a piece of food, you will also have a piece of food."
Com Com seriously asked:
“There are only two pieces in total?”
“…This is a simile.”
“Is it edible?”
“Can't eat!”
From then on, the waste spirit field truly seemed to come back to life. At first it was just a few small pale green shoots, so thin that it seemed like if the wind blew, they would break. After that, the seedlings grew longer and longer each day. The green color slowly spread, little by little dyeing the abandoned field, which was gray and cracked. Every day when we wake up, the first thing we do is run to the field to take a look. Com Com is more positive than me. It always squatted on the edge of the field, staring at Thanh Hoa with a serious expression. I ask:
“What are you looking at?”
Com Com seriously replied:
“Watching rice grow.”
Vien Vien also sat with us a few times, unfortunately he didn't have the patience. It didn't take long for it to chase its tail, almost rolling into the field, but luckily Tieu Cuu used its tail to drag it back. A Thanh spoke in disgust:
“It's just Thanh Hoa, what's worth seeing?”
But every time the sun is at its fiercest, it flies into the air, fanning out a few small streams of rain, falling gently onto each row of fields. I do not expose it. The days slowly pass by in such busyness position. The dilapidated house was repaired to the point where it could barely be lived in, and the fence outside the yard was also rebuilt. The green color in the waste ling field is getting darker and darker. The beds near Linh Tuyen grow the fastest, with wide leaves and straight rhizomes. The wind blew through, like a layer of soft blue waves fluttering in the middle of the field. After that, Thanh Hoa bloomed. At first there were just a few small flowers hidden among the leaves. Not long after, the rice flowers gradually drooped down. One morning, as I walked to the edge of the field again, my steps suddenly stopped. A small Thanh Hoa bed near Linh Tuyen has turned pale yellow. Not all fields are ripe. Most of Thanh Hoa is still green, only a small piece on the Linh Tuyen side has weeping flowers. Heavy rice ears press the thin stems into curves. The morning wind blew, the pale yellow light gently swaying in the middle of the field. I stood on the edge of the field and looked for a long time. Before, when I saw the sprouts emerging, I only felt that this abandoned field was not dead. But now, they have actually become food. Tieu Bach walked to the side, bowed his head, looked at the rice flower, and gently said:
"This batch is not much, only a little can be harvested first. The rest needs to be raised for a while, then will ripen one by one."
I nodded. There really isn't much, even pitifully little. But looking at that small golden piece of Thanh Hoa, my heart felt like it was slowly filled by something. This waste ling field can really feed us. Com Com was sitting neatly next to the field, his tail tense, his face solemn as if waiting for something important. We look at it:
“First of all, don't eat it raw.”
