Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — When I was born, I wanted to give my mother another chance
To save money for my mother's education, I quickly adapted to my current job. But I didn't expect that one day, I would see my mother and father walking together on the road.
“Vu Uyen Uyen.”
I stepped forward, pulling my mother behind me. My father is very tall, has fair skin, and clear facial features.
"Uyen Uyen, this is comrade So. He lent me these books."
My mother gently pulled my shirt, signaling me to look at the pile of books she was holding in her lap.
“Do you accept whatever people give you? What if you have some intention?
Do you think everyone is good to you? I angrily threw the books back into my father's hands.
"Take it home! We don't need it!"
If he doesn't love his mother, why does he still approach her?
"Sister Uyen Uyen, let's go!"
I pulled my mother away, my face gloomy. My mother kept wanting to say something along the way. I don't know how to explain it to her. That after marrying my mother, my father and grandmother would oppress me and my mother. That every day he goes out early in the morning and comes back late at night, never caring about how my mother and I live or die.
“Do you like So An Ha?” I asked.
My mother quickly shook her head.
“No! I heard that the factory is about to hire workers, so I wanted to come and take a look.
Unexpectedly, I met comrade So. He asked me a few questions. Knowing that I wanted to take the university entrance exam, he lent me a book."
“Why are you so stupid!”
The more I listen, the more certain I am that this is my father's plot. He is a very smart person and once said that every relationship is an exchange of benefits.
“Tieu Thu, do you have any enmity with him?”
Mom looked at me worriedly. I sighed:
“In general, stay away from him from now on.
Don't think about going to work in a factory anymore. If you want to take the university entrance exam, then give it your all and be determined to do your best!”
“I hope my mother has a different life.”
Even without me, it's okay. Hearing that the factory was actually recruiting workers, the eldest aunt's attitude towards her mother was clearly much better.
"This house doesn't raise idle people. I'm just teaching you how to be independent."
The eldest aunt sent her mother to work.
"I don't have a job now, but I will later. I'll give all my salary to mom. Mom will keep it for me."
My mother timidly nodded:
“Yes.”
The exam date for the textile factory coincides with the university exam. I secretly took my mother to the exam. Unexpectedly, on the last day of the exam, I would meet my eldest aunt. I tried to slip away but was called back immediately.
“Tieu Thu, what are you doing here?”
The eldest aunt saw my mother entering the exam room and her face immediately darkened.
“Is that Vu Uyen Uyen?”
I smiled wryly:
“How is that possible! They just look alike.
Uyen Uyen took the exam to enter the textile factory. I'll go with Aunt Ly's family to take Nhi Nha to the exam."
“When did Nhi Nha take the university entrance exam, mom didn't know?”
The eldest aunt still tried to crane her neck to look inside. I quickly pulled her back and laughed:
“Mom, college students are very valuable these days!
If you had a smart head, you'd want to take the exam too!” The eldest aunt glared at me and was about to turn around and leave when she bumped into Aunt Ly. Next to her is Nhi Nha. My heart immediately sank to the bottom of the abyss.
"Very good! This damn brat dares to collude with outsiders to trick me!"
The eldest aunt grabbed my ear tightly, causing pain to the bone. 4.
"Say! Why is Vu Uyen Uyen going in there?"
“University exam.”
I hugged my ears itself, twisted until it turned red.
"This little bastard! How dare you trick me! I have to skin him today!"
The eldest aunt could only curse two sentences before someone pulled her back. Her face was red with anger.
“Okay, great! Let's see how I handle this brat!”
My forehead was covered in cold sweat. All my mother's efforts cannot fail at this time! As soon as my mother walked out of the exam room, the eldest aunt rushed forward, raised her hand and slapped me straight down. I reacted quickly and jumped up to block my mother. The slap hit me straight.
“Tieu Thu!”
My mother panicked and caught me. The eldest aunt pushed me away.
"It's true that what top does is what bottom does! You vixen, just like your parents, tricked yourself into eating and drinking, and now you dare to trick my daughter too!"
“See if I don't beat you to death!”
Mom did not resist and endured two strong slaps. People around were whispering. The eldest aunt grabbed her mother's hair and gritted her teeth:
“Go home and I'll settle the matter with you!”
On the way home, I cried and begged her to forgive my mother, explaining that it was all my idea. But the eldest aunt did not let go and scolded him more and more harshly.
“Eat from me, stay at my house, and now you're cheating on my daughter!
Do you have money to go to school?
“No wonder why there's been a shortage of money in the house lately.
It turns out there was a thief! Mother cried and shook her head.
“I don't have it.”
When I got home, my aunt kicked open my door, pulled out all the blankets, pillows, and clothes my mother brought from the countryside and threw them on the ground.
“GET THE FUCK OUT!”
I'm still going to explain.
“Eldest uncle, I really don't take money.”
I was so angry that I laughed:
“If you want to assign guilt, there is no way!
If you catch a thief, you must have evidence. Without evidence, that is slander! Taking the university entrance exam or not is Ms. Uyen Uyen's right! You have no right to stop it!” The eldest aunt was furious, rushed to grab her mother, and searched all over her body. Mother trembled and cried. Finally, she pulled out from her mother's pocket... two coins! I smiled faintly:
“See it?
No one will take your money! You're too much!" Unexpectedly, the eldest aunt stuffed two coins into her pocket.
“When I say it's a thief, it means it's a thief!
Look, what background does he have that makes him want to argue?
“If it wasn't for my kindness, he doesn't know where he would have starved to death!
If you're not grateful, you dare to deceive me! She pushed her mother out. In the yard, people pointed and talked. Mother humiliatedly pulled her collar tightly. The eldest aunt shouted fiercely:
“Go away!
If not, I'll report it to the police! Mom knelt down on the ground.
“Eldest uncle, I beg you, don't send me away...
You can do whatever you want..." The eldest aunt proudly lifted her chin:
“Do you know how to pray now?
It's late! Vu Uyen Uyen, even if you pass the university entrance exam, you are not destined to go to school!”
“Eldest uncle, it's all my fault.
You shouldn't lie to me... I won't take the university entrance exam anymore..." While crying, my mother put her head on the ground. The sound of "clack clack" rang out loudly. I tried to pull my mother up but couldn't. Hot tears filled my eyes. There were more and more people watching. The eldest aunt raised her voice high:
“So you admit to stealing two hundred dong from me?”
Mom turned pale.
“I don't have…”
At that moment, there was a knock on the door. It's dad. The eldest aunt's face immediately changed, becoming more cheerful.
“Wow, that's really rare!
Isn't this the Department engineer? Besides dad, there is also Aunt Ly. Behind the two people, a woman about fifty years old also entered the yard.
