Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — You use Filial piety to tie me down, I use divorce to end it
Chu Minh Le's voice was both high-pitched and sharp.
“My brother raised you to eat well and dress well, is that how you repay him?”
“My mother is bedridden, but as a bride, she still sneaks out to enjoy herself, what do you mean?”
“I tell you Hua Tinh, the Chu family's door is not where you want to go, go anywhere you want!”
I held the phone away a bit, waiting for her to finish screaming. Then calmly opened his mouth.
“Are you done talking yet?”
The other end of the line paused. Obviously she didn't expect me to react like that.
"When you're done talking, hang up. I'm very busy."
Chu Minh Le's shrill scream rang out again.
"Hua Tinh, a bitch like you just wait! I'll immediately go to your company to cause chaos, even to your parents' house to cause chaos! I'll see where you can escape to!"
I didn't give her a chance to continue. Hang up the phone directly and drag it to the block list. A minute later, another strange number called. I directly refused. Right after that comes the third number. Then number four. Their whole family is really clingy like leeches. I definitely turned on the mode to block all unknown numbers. The world is finally quiet again. But I know… This is just the calm before the storm. Chu Minh Le is the type of person who says he can do it. She will really come to my company and my parents' house to cause trouble. I have to act first. I immediately called my immediate superior, General Manager Vuong.
“General Manager Vuong, sorry for bothering you this late.”
"Tieu Hua, it's okay. Is the training still going well?"
His voice was as gentle as usual.
"Very convenient, thank you for your concern. I called to inform you of a personal matter that may affect the company."
I briefly recounted the conflict between me and Chu Minh Khai, and the possibility that his sister would come to the company to harass him. I don't add salt and fish sauce. Simply recounting the truth.
"I guarantee that this is completely my personal matter and will absolutely not affect my work or any of the company's projects. I just don't want them to disturb the working order, so I gave you an hour's notice."
The other side was silent for a few seconds.
"I understand, Tieu Hua. Just rest assured and study, family matters will be handled well. The company has me."
"Thank you."
After hanging up the phone, a rock in my heart finally fell. Next, I called my father. The phone rang for a long time before someone picked up.
“Tinh Tinh, why are you calling so late?”
“Mom, where is dad?”
“He's sleeping, what's going on?”
“Mom, you listen to me.”
I lowered my voice and said quickly:
"You and Chu Minh Khai are going through divorce proceedings. His sister Chu Minh Le might come to our house to cause trouble."
"What? Divorce?"
My mother's voice immediately rose.
“Mom, don't get excited, just listen to what I have to say!”
I hastily reassured.
"If she comes, parents absolutely don't say anything, don't open the door to let her in. Just act like you don't know her, then immediately call the police, saying she entered the house without permission and harassed her parents."
"So... how can that be! He's my husband's brother!"
My voice became stern.
"Not anymore! Your parents are old, don't have any conflicts with her, just leave everything to the police to handle, understand?"
"Remember, don't be soft-hearted, don't talk nonsense with her, report directly to the police!"
I told her over and over again, until my mother trembled voice agreed. I know that's very cruel to my parents. But I have no other choice. Dealing with crazy dogs... Only the toughest method can be used. After doing everything, I felt like my whole body was drained of strength. I leaned back in my chair, looking at the dark night outside the window. Chu Minh Khai. Chu Minh Le. Do you think you can force me to bow by using these out-of-this-world tricks? You people look down on me too much. The more you guys do that... the more determined I am to leave. The next day, just after class ended, I received a WeChat message from my sister Hua Vy.
