Chapter 8
Chapter 8 — 6 Days to Clean Up Your Estate Then Divorce
“Why didn't you answer my calls, why did you block me, you took all the company's money, took it all away, and now you don't even let me see my daughter.”
“Are you trying to force me to death?”
His sound echoed through the school gate, drawing curious looks and increasingly loud whispers from the surrounding crowd. The parents watching started pointing, their eyes filled with judgment and speculation, as if they already had a complete story in mind. I don't pay attention to them. In my eyes, there's only him left. I walked slowly in front of him, stopped behind the guard's arm, and looked straight into his eyes.
“Chu Van Bo.”
My voice wasn't loud, but clear enough for everyone around me to hear.
“This is a school, a place where children learn, not a market where you can cause trouble.”
My calmness and his madness created a clear contrast that made the air seem to slacken. He was stunned for a moment, as if he didn't expect me to react like that.
“I messed up?”
He laughed, his smile was crooked and scary.
“I came to see my daughter and you said I was making a mess. You've made it this far and I'm not allowed to come find you.”
He turned to the crowd and began to speak loudly as if he were performing a prepared play.
"Look everyone, this is my wife, we've been married for ten years, I treat her like a treasure, yet she secretly transferred all of our tens of millions of assets."
"Now I still want a divorce and won't let me see my daughter, everyone tell me if there is such a cruel woman."
He made himself into a victim, into a pitiful betrayed husband, each sentence and each word deliberately guiding the emotions of those around him. A few parents who did not know the truth began to speak up, their voices full of judgment.
"This woman is too heartless. Why don't you go home and talk about things between husband and wife instead of coming out here and causing trouble?"
“That's right, no matter what, you shouldn't stop me from seeing you.”
Those words flew into my ears like wind, leaving no trace. I still looked at him, patiently waiting for him to finish speaking, waiting for the noisy crowd to gradually subside. Then I slowly opened my mouth.
“Are you done talking?”
My eyes scanned the people around me, calm and cold.
“Everyone has seen enough.”
I looked back at him, his voice changed to strange and decisive.
"Mr. Chu, first of all, we are no longer husband and wife. I tore up the divorce agreement myself, but the court summons will be sent soon."
"Second, the money I'm handling is my pre-marital assets and my legal income as a legal entity. If you have an opinion, just bring a lawyer to court."
“Third, it is also the most important thing.”
My voice was cold, sharp as ice.
“I never forbade you to see your child, but looking like an out of control person standing at the school gate screaming like this, do you think you deserve to see your child?”
“You'll scare her.”
I finished speaking and didn't look at him again. I turned to the guard, my tone was clear, leaving no space for negotiation.
"Please ask this person to leave. If he continues to cause trouble and affect school order, I will immediately report him to the police for disruptive behavior."
My attitude is decisive, don't hold back any feelings. Chu Van Bac was completely stunned, not expecting me to expose him in front of such a crowd. His face changed continuously, finally turning red as if pushed to the limit.
“Hua Tinh… you…”
He pointed at me, his hands shaking with anger.
“You really are toxic enough.”
I turned around and went straight into the school's reception room, where the homeroom teacher was waiting with a worried look. I smiled politely at her, my voice soft.
"Sorry, I'm bothering the school. Can you help me take out Niem Niem's schoolbag? I want to pick my child up early today."
The teacher nodded repeatedly, her voice hastily but softened, as if she was relieved that finally someone was handling everything.
“Yes yes, please wait a moment.”
