Chapter 9
Chapter 9 — A Stranger's Bride
“Don't worry, we're all family.” — A man approached, “I am Han Da's cousin, Co Han Phong.” “Hello.” The others also introduced themselves in turn: Co Han Son, Co Han Hai, Co Tieu Tuyet, Co Tieu Suong... Everyone's last name was Co, and everyone exuded an unusual aura - clearly not from an ordinary family. “Sit down, Noan Noan.” — Co Tieu Vu pulled me to sit on the chair, "It's been a long time since we saw Han Da bring his girlfriend home." "Is that so?" "Um. We didn't like his previous girlfriends." "What's wrong?" "Acting too much. Always pretending to be gentle and cute." — Co Tieu Vu wrinkled his nose. “Tieu Vu.” — Co Han Da reminded. "It's okay, I'm just telling the truth." — She pouted, “Sister-in-law is different, very natural.” “Thank you.” — I was a bit shy. “What does Noan Noan do?” — Co Han Phong asked. “I do design.” “What design?” “Interior design.” “Sounds good, this profession has a lot of potential.” “Noan Noan, how did you and Han Da meet each other?” — Co Tieu Tuyet asked. I looked at Co Han Da. He nodded slightly. “We met at the bar.” — I replied. “At the bar?” — Everyone was a bit surprised. “Don't Han Da hate those places?” — Co Tieu Vu asked. “Only go occasionally.” — Co Han Da replied. “So you fell in love as soon as you met?” “Yes, you can say so.” “Oh my god, so romantic!” — The girls started to get excited. “How long will it take for you two to get married?” “Three days.” — I'm telling the truth. “What?” — The whole group widened their eyes in surprise. “Wedding in three days?” “Hmm.” “Oh my god, it's even more than love at first sight.” “This is love and marriage in the blink of an eye!” Everyone was very excited, as if they were listening to a romantic love story. “Miss Noan Noan, you're really brave.” — Co Tieu Vu admired, "If it were me, I probably wouldn't dare." "I also think this is a bit crazy." — I said smiling. “But you don't regret it now, do you?” “Not at all.” “That's good.” — Co Han Phong said, "Although Han Da looks a bit quiet, he is a very good person." "Brother, when did I become quiet?" — Co Han Da retorted. "Normally I talk very little." "Because I don't like saying meaningless things." "There, it's starting to get quiet again." Everyone laughed. The atmosphere becomes lighter and happier. I gradually relaxed. The Co family is so nice, without any of the arrogance of the rich like I had imagined. At lunch, my grandmother grabbed my hand and said: "Noan Noan, please consider this your home from now on." "Thank you, grandma." "My house doesn't have many rules, there is only one thing: to live happily." "I will do it." “Han Da, me too.” — Grandma looked at him, “You have to make Noan Noan happy.” “I promise, grandma.” “So that's good.” — She smiled with satisfaction. After the meal, Co Han Da took me to tour the villa. The villa is very large, with more than twenty rooms. “Did you live here when you were a child?” — I asked. “Yes.” “What about your parents?” “They…” — His expression looked a little sad, “They passed away.” “I'm sorry…” “It's okay, it was a long time ago.” “So you grew up with your grandmother?” “Yes, she raised me since I was a child.” “No wonder you and grandma are so close.” “Um.” We walked to a room. “This is my room as a child.” — Co Han Da said. The room is spacious and decorated very warmly. There are still a few books on the desk. "You must be very good at studying, right?" — I teased. “It's okay.” “How modest.” We sat in the room for a while. “Noan Noan.” “Hmm?” “How do you like my family?”“Very nice. I like everyone very much.”“They like you too.”“Really?”“Really. I'm glad you can fit in with my family.”“Me too.”“Can we visit grandma together every weekend?” “Okay.” On the way home at night,
I keep thinking about today's events. The Co family's villa, the Co family's people - all are not like a normal family. "Co Han Da, can you tell me the truth about your identity?" — I asked. “Why do you ask that?” “Because I feel like you're more than just an ordinary investor.” “Why do you think that?” “My house, grandma's mansion, and my cousins too.” “What about them?” "They exude a very different temperament and way of talking. Not like normal people." Co Han Da was silent for a moment. "Noan Noan, do you really want to know?" "Want." "Then I will tell." — He stopped the car, turned to look at me, "Your family does business." "What business?" "Many fields." "What specifically?" "Real estate, finance, technology, and some other fields." "Sounds like very big industries." "Yes." "So... your family is very rich?" "You can say that." "How rich?" "You want to know the specific number?" “I want.” Co Han Da took a deep breath: “If compared to the Forbes rankings, my family is probably in the top 10.” I was stunned. “What?” “Top 10.” “Top 10 Forbes rankings?” “Yes.” I felt blank. Top 10 Forbes. What does that mean? It means that Co Han Da is a super tycoon. Not the usual "having money" type. But the level of "unbelievably rich". "Noan Noan?" — Co Han Da called me. “I…” — I really don't know what to say. “Regret it?” “No, it's just... too sudden.” “I know this is a bit hard to accept.” “Why didn't you say it sooner?” “Because I was afraid you would marry me just for money.” “But obviously we got married before you knew.” “That's right, so now I can be sure that you're not out for money.” I nodded slightly. “So… what are your current feelings?” “It's a bit unreal.”
