Chapter 3 — After Betrayal Comes Peace

Until the day I got promoted, had a raise, and brought food home early. I was filled with joy, wanting to celebrate with them. But as soon as I entered the door, I saw Co Yen So's clothes in disarray, walking out of Ha Duu's room. The moment she saw me, Co Yen So's face turned pale. He wants to say something. But I opened my mouth several times and still couldn't make a sound. Finally, Ha Duu came out of the room and apologized to me in a low voice. She said:

“Kieu Kieu, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you.”

"Yen So and I really like each other. You treat me so well, you're willing to give me anything good. Can you give me this one last time?"

That day, I destroyed the entire boarding house. The two of them from the initial feeling of guilt gradually turned to coldly looking at me like I was crazy. Waiting until I was exhausted and fell to the ground, Co Yen So spoke in a hoarse voice:

"It's our fault for hiding it from you. I've already wronged you, I can't continue to blame Yuu Duu."

"This is the house I rented. I hope you can move out quickly."

In just a few short hours, I experienced the joy of getting promoted and getting a raise, the collapse of discovering my best friend and boyfriend were having an affair, and the panic of being kicked out of the house. His sister passed the high school exam. The whole family did not inform him in advance but went directly to Hai Thanh.

“Kieu Kieu.”

There was an unclear plea in Co Yen So's voice:

"My mother's health is not good. I still haven't figured out how we should talk to her. Can you help me with something? Come back and act in a play for me?"

How can I agree? I thought everything was over here. Unexpectedly, Co Yen So's next words were a threat:

“Don't forget about your job, thanks to that year I had to use a lot of connections to get in. Help me this time, in the future we won't owe each other any more.”

Best friends and boyfriends may not be needed. But I can't be without work. So I compromise. The only thing Co Yen So wanted me to help was to cook a table of food for his family. A meal in exchange for a job with a future. This exchange is very beneficial. It was just that while cooking, I heard Co's mother ask him when he would register his marriage with me. I accidentally broke a plate. Co Yen So's younger sister ran in to help me clean up. After picking up the broken pieces, the girl suddenly asked me:

"Miss Kieu Kieu, is there a problem between you and my brother?"

No one expected the intuition of a teenage girl to be so sharp. The meal that day ended up not being cooked. Because right after Co Yen So's younger sister said that, Ha Duu, who was still standing next to him as a backdrop, spoke up:

"That's right, Yen So is with me. Now I'm your girlfriend there.”

Co's mother was so excited that she became ill. When I ran to the hospital, I learned that Co's mother had just received a critical message. While I was still worried about her, Co Yen So pushed me hard and fell to the ground. He said I did it on purpose. Intentionally keep your face cold throughout the process. Intentionally breaking a plate while cooking to show dissatisfaction. Deliberately attracting his parents' attention. His sister pushed him, saying it was clearly Ha Duu's fault, why would she blame me. But Co Yen So didn't listen.
