Chapter 10
Chapter 10 — After Notarizing 5 Houses, I Just Got Married
He stood up and adjusted his vest. As he walked to the door, he turned around and looked at me.
“Miss To, did your biological aunt teach you?”
"Not really. Some things are forced."
After he left, I encrypted the recording file and sent it to Tham Hac. Tham Hac responded with one word: "Great." The next three days, everything went according to plan. Luu Loi followed the agreement and handed over the fake investment contract to Tran Hao. Tran Hao received it, and on the same day, he submitted it to the court through the interim lawyer he hired. At the same time, Tham Hac also officially filed a divorce lawsuit in court. Plaintiff: To Niem. Defendant: Tran Hao. Request for lawsuit: Annul the marital relationship, confirm that the five real estate properties are the plaintiff's pre-marital personal assets, and the defendant's personal debts are the defendant's sole responsibility. Attached documents: Five notarized copies of pre-marital assets, adultery photos along with bank statements and transfer records, three-year chat history provided by Chu Dinh, recorded evidence of fake contract provided by Luu Loi. In the document Tran Hao submitted, there was a fake contract. In the documents submitted by Tham Hac, there is all the evidence proving that the contract is fake. Two sets of documents, on the same day, were delivered to the judge. Compare and contrast, real and fake are clear. The court's subpoena was sent very quickly. The trial opening date is set for next Wednesday. It was just a month before I went to register my marriage. One day before the trial, Tran Hao called me for the last time.
"To Niem, do you finally want a divorce? Have you thought about it carefully?"
“Think carefully.”
"Do you really think I'm of no use? Can our three-year relationship be over?"
"Tran Hao, the three-year relationship is real. But your purpose is also real. These two things are not contradictory."
“You have no purpose—”
“‘She really is an idiot, she has a few houses in her name, her aunt sells vegetables at the market, she has no one to back her up.’ This is the exact words he said to Chu Dinh.”
The other end of the line fell into silence like an ice cellar.
“How could you watch—”
"I know everything you do. Borrowing money, transferring money, falsifying contracts—all of it. Tran Hao, I give you a sincere advice: If you go to court tomorrow, don't try to struggle in vain. Ending it nicely is the way to minimize the greatest damage for you."
He didn't say another word. The phone automatically disconnects. That night, she invited me to eat hot pot. Not a luxury restaurant, just a skewered hot pot restaurant at the gate of the apartment complex. We ate beef books and duck intestines while chatting about things unrelated to the lawsuit.
“Nien Niem, after this matter is resolved, what do you plan to do?”
“Just keep going to work.”
“Aren't you going to come to my company?”
“Auntie, I told you—”
“Okay, okay, I'm on my own, I won't force you.” She took her chopsticks and gently tapped my bowl, "But I tell you, with this design job, in a small company you earn 10,000 a month, but if you go to a big platform, your annual income can be ten times higher."
"I'm not telling you to come to my company to work for me. What I mean is that your abilities are not just worth that much money. Expand your horizons a little further."
I picked up a piece of cow's book, but it didn't come up language. She looked at me and sighed.
"Forget it, there's no hurry. Just finish the matter at hand first."
On court day, the weather was very nice. I wore a black business outfit, my hair tied in a ponytail. Tham Hac was waiting for me at the court gate.
"The other side's lawyer has arrived. He is a newbie, not someone introduced by Liu Loi's side. It seems that Tran Hao has changed lawyers."
“Why change?”
"Perhaps because the previous lawyer saw the list of evidence we submitted and didn't dare accept it anymore. This newcomer clearly hasn't read the entire file carefully."
When I entered the court, I saw Tran Hao. He stood in the hallway, wearing the same white shirt—the same one as the day he went to register his marriage. He did it on purpose. He saw me, his lips moved a little, but he didn't say a word. Trieu My Lan stood next to him. Seeing me, she wished she could use her eyes to pierce me.
"Let's go." Tham Hac patted the file in his hand.
The courtroom was very quiet. After the judge started, my side presented first. Tham Hac presented the facts and evidence clearly and logically: Notarization of pre-marital assets, acts of adultery, dissipation of money, falsification of contracts. Each entry is accompanied by full written documentation and electronic evidence. When it was the opponent's turn to present, Tran Hao's new lawyer stood up. He took out that fake investment contract.
“The plaintiff claims that the loan of 38 thousand through the app is the defendant's personal debt, but according to this contract, that money is used for a joint investment project of the couple—”
Tham Hac stood up.
"Chairman, the contract submitted by the defendant is fake. My side has a complete chain of evidence to prove it."
He submitted in turn:
