Chapter 10
Chapter 10 — After Ten Years of Silence, the Whole Industry Sees Me
The next day after the event ends. Everything started to create a chain reaction. Ton Van posted an article. The title is:
"Cam Hoa's 30th anniversary brand announcement ceremony made a strong impression, the brand repositioning plan received widespread praise from experts."
The article did not mention plagiarism. Because the evidence is so clear. That allegation is inherently untenable. But at the end of the article there is a short paragraph that caught the attention of the advertising world:
"The creative director of Thinh Hang Media, Tham Nhuoc Tinh, directly proved his innocence right at the event by making his entire creative profile public. It is known that the previous anonymous complaint was related to a competing company in the industry."
Although not named. But people in the profession understand. Hua Uyen Thanh disappeared from the company for two days. Ha Than said she asked for sick leave. On to the third day. She turned around. I ran into her in the hallway. She wears makeup very carefully. Bright lipstick color. It doesn't look like anything unusual.
“Ms. Nhuoc Tinh.”
“The recent brand announcement was so hard.”
She smiled and greeted me. The tone remains the same as always. As if nothing had ever happened. I nodded. Pass her. After walking a while. Ha Than said in a low voice:
“Miss Tham, can she still smile?”
“If she can't laugh.”
“It's not Hua Uyen Thanh.”
“Do you think she will stay still?”
"No."
The truth quickly proved that my guess was correct. That afternoon. Human resources director Lam Dong made an appointment with me to talk.
“Director Tham.”
“This year's organizational structure adjustment has a plan related to you.”
“What plan?”
“President Song wants to merge the creative department and the strategy department.”
“Establish a new department called Brand Development Division.”
“Who will manage?”
“This is still being discussed.”
Lam Dong's expression was full of awkwardness.
“But President Tong proposed a plan.”
“Hua Uyen Thanh will hold the position of Division Director.”
“And you will be the Deputy Director and person in charge of the Innovation Center.”
I laughed.
“Ten years I've been at this company.”
“Hua Uyen Thanh has only been here for four years.”
“I did the Cam Hoa project.”
“The previous plagiarism accusation was also related to her.”
“And now you tell me…”
“Will she become my superior?”
Lam Dong's face turned red.
“Director Tham.”
“I'm just the one who conveys it.”
“Not what I meant.”
"I know."
I stood up.
“I'll go talk to Tong Chi Vien.”
“I do not accept this plan.”
“If he is still so determined…”
“Just turn over all the company's project records for the past ten years.”
“Let's see who is the one supporting Thinh Hang's revenue in the end.”
I turned around and left. Return to the office. I sent Chu Hac Minh a message.
“Master Chu, is it convenient for you to talk now?”
Five minutes later. He replied.
“Don't be hasty.”
"I've heard about the story in Hai Thanh."
“Wait for me two days.”
“There's an opportunity coming up.”
“Very quickly.”
The opportunity that Chu Hac Minh mentioned came faster than I thought. The next morning. Ms. Tan ran to the office to find me.
“Nhuoc Tinh!”
“Have you heard the news?”
“What news, sister?”
“The official National Advertising Innovation Awards finalists list has been announced.”
She gave me the phone. On the screen is the official announcement from the Advertising Association. Best Innovator of the Year The final list of nominees includes three people. The first name is: Tham Nhuoc Tinh - Thinh Hang Media I read it three times.
“Miss Tan…”
“Is this true?”
“Announcement on the association's official website.”
“Could it still be fake?”
She looked at me. The corners of his eyes were red.
“Nhuoc Tinh.”
“If my mother was still alive and saw this day…”
“She will probably be very happy.”
I said nothing. After the news spread throughout the company. People's reactions were completely divided into two extremes. Some people were genuinely happy. Take the initiative to congratulate me. Some others remained silent. Occasionally exchanging meaningful glances with each other. Tong Chi Vien did not come to see me. But Hua Uyen Thanh does. When entering the office. In her hand she also held a bouquet of flowers.
“Ms. Nhuoc Tinh.”
“Congratulations on being on the nomination list.”
“This is a little bit of my heart.”
I looked at the bouquet.
“Ms. Nhuoc Tinh.”
“I know you are prejudiced against me.”
She sat down opposite me.
“What happened before... I didn't do it right.”
“I admit it.”
“What is it?”
“Signing story at Thuy Phong project.”
She bowed her head.
“At that time I was too vain.”
“I want to have more position in the industry.”
“Don't take credit for my work.”
I leaned back in the chair. Calmly look at her.
“So what about the accusations at the Cam Hoa project?”
The smile on her face stiffened for a moment. But very quickly it returned to normal.
“That has nothing to do with you.”
“I know you doubt me.”
“But it's really not.”
I don't argue.
“Ms. Nhuoc Tinh.”
“I came here today just to say one thing.”
“No matter what misunderstandings there were before.”
“I still hope we can cooperate well in the future.”
“Now you are a candidate for the biggest award in the industry.”
“Your road ahead will become increasingly open.”
“I don't want to be your opponent.”
