Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — After the Rain, the Sun Comes Bright Again
"Tu Chi Nhac! Normally I love you like my own child, how dare you do this kind of thing?" "Don't you two have any shame?!" I coldly witnessed this scene. Watching her mother-in-law frantically scratch and tear Tu Chi Nhac, watching her father-in-law kick each and every kick on his body. Seeing Ha Diem screaming and rushing to stop, her mother-in-law slapped her and fell onto the tea table. The glass of water fell and shattered, water spilled onto the floor, mixed with blood, mixed with tears, mixed with the sound of rain falling outside the window. Looking at this scene, I just wanted to laugh. "Ha ha ha ha ha..." Laughter came from my throat, I couldn't hold it back. I laughed so much that my whole body was shaking, I laughed so much that tears ran down the corners of my eyes. "Your family, it's so interesting, damn it's so interesting." "Why don't you continue talking about the deep love between brothers, why don't you say that they just hang out with each other..." "What do you think I am? A cover for humiliation? Cannon fodder?" "My fate is really unlucky, why did I end up with those bastards of your family?" right?” “Phuong Di Than!” Ha Diem suddenly rushed forward aggressively, looking like he wanted to eat me alive. She used both hands to grab my shoulders, pushing frantically. "Shut up for me! Shut up!" "Everything is because of you! Are you determined to destroy this house to be satisfied?" "What are you planning?!" My belt hit the sofa armrest hard. A sharp pain flared up. My whole body suddenly fell to the side, my stomach hitting the ground. A stream of warm liquid poured out from between her legs, the crimson color drenched the floor covering, spreading around. "Di Than!" Tu Chi Nhac screamed, tearing his lungs out, kneeling down next to me. “Quickly call an ambulance!” I pressed my face to the floor, gasping for breath. The lights on the ceiling turn bright and dark. Shine a light on the people in this house, shine a light on the murderers, shine a light on a bunch of ridiculous scum. This summer has been really long. And it was so cold. "Tu Chi Nhac..." He quickly brought his ear closer to listen, constantly muttering: "Phuong Di Than, don't be afraid, the ambulance is coming..." "I'm sorry, really sorry." "I was really drunk that day, I..." "I hate you." My lips moved slightly to release each word. Immediately after that, my consciousness sank into a dark night. 7. When I woke up again, my eyes were completely white. There was a faint smell of antiseptic in the air, making my throat dry. I instinctively touched my stomach. Flat, empty. Tu Chi Nhac's voice rang in his ear: "Di Than, do you want to eat something?" I turned to look at him bewildered. He sat on the edge of the bed, his face still had bruises that hadn't completely healed, and stubble grew all over his chin. "Where's the baby?" He tried to grab my hand, but I pulled it back. I repeated again: "I ask you, where is my child?" He lowered his head and was silent for a long time: "...It's a little girl, suffering from acute heart failure... and can't be saved." He was clearly sitting right next to me, but his voice seemed to come from a very far away place. It took me a long time to hear clearly and understand the meaning of his words. I didn't say anything, turned my head to look out the window. The sky was gray, it was impossible to tell whether it was dawn or dusk. I remember the light yellow newborn outfit I just bought, those cute little shoes and socks... All of which I no longer have the opportunity to use anymore.
