Chapter 25
Chapter 25 — At the end of the week when I was fired, I made the 3.9 billion contract into waste paper
I continue:
“Second, receivables from insurance and individual customers increased 41% within a year.”
“But the valuation report uses a discounted cash flow model with the assumption of stable returns.”
“This pushes up valuations.”
Luc Chinh Binh frowned.
“That's all?”
I turned to the third page.
“Third, Khang Duy has a long-term lease at the south facility.”
“In the main report, this contract is recorded as a stable operating asset.”
“But in the legal appendix page 178, the land use rights of that building are in dispute.”
The meeting room immediately buzzed. The person in charge of legal affairs quickly opened the inspection documents. His expression quickly changed. I looked around.
"If the deal is completed at the current valuation, the risk of asset price decline and cash flow not being recovered on time could cause Thinh Ninh to suffer a direct loss of about 600 million yuan."
No one laughs anymore. I looked at Luc Chinh Binh.
“General Luc.”
“Investment team conducts three-month appraisal.”
“But that doesn't mean the problem can't be missed.”
“It also doesn't mean that the new person sitting at the table isn't allowed to see the problem.”
Luc Chinh Binh's face was very ugly. He picked up the document and quickly flipped through a few pages. But the more he turned, the slower his hand became. Because the points I mentioned are all in the appendix. Not speculation. Not a retort. It's the real risk hidden under a pretty report. The legal director spoke first:
“Miss Tham is right.”
“The dispute over land use rights needs to be reviewed.”
The CFO also said:
“The cash flow model is just too optimistic.”
Tham Nghien put down the tea cup.
“So we voted to postpone the Khang Duy project and request additional appraisal.”
No one objected. Even Luc Chinh Binh. He sat there, his face heavy, but in the end he still raised his hand. The meeting ended at eleven twenty. When I walked out of the meeting room, everyone's attitude was different from when I entered. No more obvious looks of disdain. Instead, be cautious. And a bit of undeniable recognition. Tham Nghien walked beside me.
"Congratulations."
“What congratulations?”
“I just spent twenty minutes making those people shut up.”
I glanced at him.
“It's only temporary.”
“That's enough.”
“Dad will be very happy when he wakes up and hears about this.”
I was just about to say something when my phone vibrated in my pocket. It's a message from Phuong Minh Vien. There's only one sentence.
“I'm in trouble.”
I looked at Phuong Minh Vien's message for a few seconds. Then call again. The other end of the line picked up the phone very quickly. His voice was calm as always, but I heard people talking loudly behind me.
“What trouble?”
Phuong Minh Vien smiled softly.
"The health fund project that Minh Khai was just about to announce, the partner suddenly wanted to withdraw."
I frowned.
“They said Minh Khai used people with professional disputes, worried that it would affect the fund's compliance level.”
I immediately understood.
“Hua Nhac?”
“Message without name.”
“But the fingerprints are very similar.”
I looked at Tham Nghien next to me. He also heard a few vague sentences, his face turned cold. I told Phuong Minh Vien:
“I'm going to Minh Khai.”
“You just finished a meeting in Thinh Ninh?”
“Are you tired?”
“It's not to the point of not being able to handle a disturbance.”
The other end of the line was silent for a second. Then he turned on laugh.
“Okay, I'll wait for you.”
I hung up. Tham Nghien looked at me.
“Do you need me to come with you?”
"No need."
“What if Hoa Nhac's people blame this on you?”
“That's even better.”
I put my phone in my pocket.
“I just needed a chance to prove to Minh Khai that they didn't choose the wrong person.”
Tham Nghien was silent for a moment. Then nodded.
“Hospital...”
“Dad has me.”
I looked at him. Tham Nghien smiled slightly.
"Don't look at me with those eyes. I'm also his biological son."
I laughed. When I arrived at Minh Khai, the meeting room on the eighteenth floor was full of people. The atmosphere was even more tense than I expected. This health fund project is Minh Khai's key plan for the next half year. The key partner is Hang Te Medical, which owns a chain of high-end clinics in four major cities. If Hang Te withdraws, the entire fund issuance plan will be delayed at least three months. For Minh Khai, this is not a small loss. As soon as I walked in, everyone's eyes immediately turned to me. Some people are worried. Someone is investigating. There are also people who are clearly dissatisfied. Duong Thuy was the first to speak.
“Partner Tham, you came at the right time.”
“The other party clearly said that the concern lies with you.”
“I think you should give an explanation for this.”
Phuong Minh Vien sat in the chair position and did not immediately speak for me. He just looked at me. Eyes are very good. I pulled out a chair and sat down.
“Are there documents sent by the other side?”
Luong Tinh immediately pushed the computer in front of me.
“Official email here.”
I read very quickly.
