Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — Being fired by my husband and Bach Nguyet Quang, I took 60% of the company's shares back.
"I admit that I handled the matter of firing you that day too hastily."
"Not in a hurry."
I coldly corrected.
"It's stupid."
His face immediately became unsightly.
"I've never talked to you like that before."
I looked straight into his eyes.
"I loved you before."
That sentence just came out. He immediately stopped. I continue:
"But not anymore."
He held his hand tightly to the car door.
"I will not sign the divorce papers."
"Tham Tri Y!"
His voice finally lost control.
"Do you think Ky Nam Chu really helps you?"
"People in the capitalist world are the best at calculating."
"He just wants to use you to control Tinh Lan Media."
I looked at him.
"Deputy Thua Chau."
"The most pitiful thing about you..."
"It's me who always thinks everyone is like me."
His hand stopped. I rolled up the car window. The car slowly rolled. Through the glass, I saw Pho Thua Chau still standing in place. First time. On the face of that man who always thought he was right... An unprecedented look of confusion and failure appeared. When the car rolled away, through the rearview mirror, I still saw Pho Thua Chau standing in the same place. Early the next morning, the company's internal chat group exploded. Someone anonymously posted an article accusing me of colluding with outside capitalists to coerce my husband to take control of the company. The post also includes some photos. There is a photo of me and Ky Nam Chu going into the hotel together. There is a photo of me meeting him in a coffee shop. The title is written extremely unsightly.
"The former Deputy General Director brought back his old lover to take power."
When I arrived at the company, the receptionist's eyes looked at me differently. In front of the elevator door, Hua Man Ninh was being comforted by several staff members. As soon as she saw me, she immediately wiped her tears.
"Miss Tri Y, I really didn't expect you to do that."
I stepped forward.
"There are a lot of things you don't expect."
A young employee couldn't help but speak up.
"General Manager Tham, Ms. Hua has been dismissed, how much more do you want to push her?"
I looked at him.
"What's your name?"
He was stunned.
"Chu Hang."
"Which department?"
"Content Department."
I nodded. Chu Hang's face immediately became a little panicked.
"You... you want to fire me?"
"I'm not firing you."
I took out my phone and opened the anonymous post.
"I just want to ask you a question."
"As an employee of the Content Department, can't you distinguish between expose and slander?"
Chu Hang's face turned red.
"But the photo is real."
"If the photo is real, then the story must also be real?"
He was speechless. Hua Man Ninh spoke softly:
"Miss Tri Y, everyone just feels dissatisfied for me. Don't be angry and attack others."
I laughed.
"Hua Man Ninh, do you never get tired of using this trick?"
Her tears immediately fell.
"I didn't do anything."
"That's even better."
I turned around to look at everyone.
"Ten o'clock, general meeting."
"Who posted it?"
"Who spread the rumors?"
"Who pretends to be innocent."
"Today we will explain everything clearly in front of everyone."
Exactly ten o'clock. The large hall was filled with people. Deputy Thua Chau also came. As soon as he walked in the door, he looked straight at me.
"Tham Tri Y, what are you going to do?"
"General cleaning."
He frowned. I stepped up to the podium to speak.
"Today I'll just talk about dad story."
"First, regarding the Van Te project's accounting issues, the Board of Directors has officially launched the internal inspection process."
"Second, Hua Man Ninh was dismissed not because of personal grudges."
"But because of the project she is in charge of, serious questions have arisen."
I looked up at the big screen behind me.
"The anonymous poster has been identified by the internal system."
Hua Man Ninh suddenly raised her head. I opened the trace file. The posting account is linked to the employee code. Display each letter clearly. The whole hall immediately stirred. Chu Hang jumped up, his face pale.
"It wasn't me... it was Ms. Hua who told me..."
Halfway through his sentence, he quickly closed his mouth. Hua Man Ninh immediately shook her head and sobbed.
"Chu Hang, how can you say that?"
I looked at him.
"Continue."
Chu Hang bowed his head.
"Ms. Hua said she was so pressured by you that she had no way to live."
"She asked me to help her post it."
"She said she just wanted to talk for a bit and wouldn't make a big deal out of it."
Hua Man Ninh rushed forward.
"You talk nonsense!"
Chu Hang stepped back.
"The message is still there."
The entire hall fell silent again. Pho Thua Chau turned to look at Hua Man Ninh.
"Did you tell him to post it?"
Hua Man Ninh cried even more fiercely.
"Mr. Thua Chau, I'm just too scared."
"I really have no other choice."
"Sister Tri Y wants to destroy me."
I walked in front of her.
"If you are dismissed, I will destroy you?"
"You sent someone to spread false rumors because you were scared?"
"You stole my project because of your efforts?"
"Hua Man Ninh."
"In your life..."
"The wrong person is always someone else."
"And you will always be a victim."
She raised her head to look at me. In the end, I couldn't act anymore.
"Tham Tri Y, based on what?"
Her voice became harsh.
"Why is it that as soon as you return, everyone is on your side?"
"Why do you have everything?"
I calmly looked at her.
"Because what I have..."
"It's not possible through crying."
There were a few soft laughs around. Hua Man Ninh's face turned red.
