Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — Being Slagged by My Mother-in-Law in the Crowd, I Turned to Sell the House
Seven days later. In the presidential suite of a five-star hotel. I wore a bikini, lying on a floating bed in the middle of a private pool, the sunlight filtered through the gaps in the umbrella, warmly covering my skin. The phone plays soft, gentle music over and over again. During this week, I turned off all social networks, completely cutting off contact with the outside world. Every day I sleep until I wake up. Eat delicious food. Or simply sit dumbfounded on the beach. I feel like a balloon that's been inflated for too long. Little by little, all the turbid energy that had accumulated over the past three years was flushed out. I have never felt so relieved and free. Also on that day... Giang Ha and his whole family finally welcomed their end of the world. Of course, all of this was later told to me by Tieu Vuong. That morning, the new homeowner - Mr. Ly - led his lawyer and a team of uniformed security guards and appeared on time at the door of my large apartment. The person who opened the door was Giang Ha, who was still sleepy. Seeing the scene before him, he was completely stunned.
“Who are you looking for?”
Mr. Ly didn't even bother to look at him, directly put a photocopy of the home ownership certificate in front of him, his voice as cold as ice.
"My name is Ly, I'm the new owner of this house."
"According to the contract, I will come to take over the house today. Now, please take all your personal belongings out of here within thirty minutes."
Giang Ha's mind... Completely dead.
“What did you say?!”
Giang Ha's first reaction was to feel unreasonable. He stared at the photocopy of the home ownership certificate in Mr. Ly's hand as if he was looking at the world's wildest joke.
"You're wrong, right? This is my house! My wife's name is On Tinh, have you been tricked?!"
He instinctively wanted to slam the door. But a white-gloved hand strongly blocked the door frame. It was the security guard standing behind Mr. Ly. Mr. Ly laughed. It was a kind of laugh that was both pitiful and like watching a clown perform a trick. He slowly collected his papers, took his phone out of his pocket and opened a video. In the video it's me. I was sitting in a coffee shop, the lights were bright, bowing my head and signing each part of the document. The video also recorded my voice.
"That's right, I voluntarily sold the house in my name in area xx, building xx, apartment xx to Mr. Ly."
Mr. Ly brought the phone screen close to Giang Ha's face and slowly said each word:
“Can you see clearly, Mr. Giang?”
“The wife you mentioned, Ms. Wen Qing, personally sold this house to me.”
“Contract, rent, title transfer procedures, all are legal.”
“This house has the surname Ly.”
Giang Ha's face immediately turned pale. As if struck by lightning, he stood frozen in place, his mouth opened and closed but could not say a word. Luu Ngoc Tran heard the noise and immediately shuffled out.
"What's so noisy so early in the morning? Are you letting other people sleep?!"
Seeing the scene in front of the door, she was also stunned for a moment, then immediately put her hands on her hips, showing a familiar sour look.
"Who are you guys? Are you breaking into people's houses? I'm telling you, my daughter-in-law..."
Before he could finish his words, he choked when he saw his cold eyes Ly.
“Your daughter-in-law?”
His gaze was like a blade sweeping across her body.
“Her name is Wen Qing, right?”
“T… that's right…”
Luu Ngoc Tran suddenly felt guilty. Mr. Ly nodded and turned to order the captain to guard the rear.
“Start cleaning up.”
“Everything that doesn't belong in this house, including people and luggage, was thrown out to me.”
“Yes, Mr. Ly!”
The security captain waved his hand. More than ten tall men behind immediately rushed in like hungry wolves. Giang's house completely exploded. Giang Ha's younger brother rushed out from the room. His sister hugged her child and screamed. Father-in-law was so angry that he was shaking, pointed at Mr. Ly and scolded loudly.
"Treason! Do you still care about the law?!"
Luu Ngoc Tran is even more flamboyant. She sat down directly on the ground, crying and rolling around.
"Oh my god! There's no more heaven!"
“Robbers broke into people's houses and robbed people's houses!”
"I can't live anymore! Today this old woman died for everyone to see!"
The people Mr. Ly hired were a professional security team. They had seen this kind of scene more times than Liu Ngoc Tran acted. All had expressionless faces. Quick and decisive movements. Two people per group. One person holds the person who is rioting. The remaining people directly rushed into each room and started packing things out. Pots and pans... All things that did not belong to the original interior of the house were thrown straight into the hallway without any respect. Giang Ha finally recovered. His eyes were bloodshot like an angry mad cow, rushing up to grab Mr. Ly's collar.
"Where is Wen Qing?! What have you done to Wen Qing?!"
He thought for a long time and didn't understand. Completely incomprehensible. The woman has always listened to him closely, he said one girl does not dare to argue with the other... How dare you do this?! But before he could get close, two security guards immediately held his hands tightly, pressing them hard against the wall, making him unable to move.
"Let me go! What you're doing is illegal!"
Giang Ha struggled frantically. Mr. Ly adjusted his vest collar, walked in front of him, and looked down from above.
“Mr. Giang, I advise you to calm down.”
“What you should do right now is not go crazy here.”
“But quickly contact your wife.”
“Ask her why she sold the house, took all the money and then disappeared without a trace.”
Having finished speaking, he no longer paid any attention to Giang Ha and turned around the living room slowly, like a king inspecting his territory. In the hallway, more and more furniture was piled up, as high as a small mountain. Sixteen members of the Giang family were politely but firmly "invited" out by the security team. Some people wear pajamas. The person's hair is messy. Everyone is struggling extremely. The surrounding neighbors heard the commotion and opened their doors to peek out to see the commotion. Pointing eyes. The sounds of quiet chatter. It was like countless needles stabbed straight into the faces of each member of the Giang family.
