Chapter 5 — Divorcing the Cold Battalion Commander

“No one showed me, so how do you know where the old warehouse is?”

“I was wandering around so I went there.”

I laughed.

“The military dormitory has three gates, and the old warehouse is located in the innermost corner.”

“An outsider like you, walking around but avoiding the guard gate, avoiding the patrol team, walked precisely to the old warehouse.”

“Did you come to have an affair, or did you come to scout the terrain?”

Officer Chau glanced at me. Trieu Dai Cuong's forehead was sweating. Lam Mieu suddenly sobbed and said:

“Officer Chau, sister-in-law right now just wants to pull everyone into the water.”

“She has always disliked me.”

"She saw that Mr. Xuyen treated me well, so she became jealous."

I turned to look at Officer Chau.

“Please take notes.”

"Lam Mieu admitted that the relationship between her and Luc Xuyen was enough to make me dissatisfied."

I asked urgently:

“Today you led a group of people into the warehouse, who has your back?”

Lam Mieu's face turned pale. Luc Xuyen finally spoke:

“To Van, Mieu Mieu's father is my father's old comrade.”

“It's natural for me to take care of her.”

I stared at him.

“Caring for orphans of martyrs, the organization has its own regulations.”

“Do you need a married man like you to put his wife aside to take care of her every day?”

As soon as this sentence ended, Officer Chau's eyes looking at Luc Xuyen immediately changed. Luc Xuyen stiffened. The guard guarding the gate ran back to report.

“Officer Chau, the check has been completed.”

“This morning at nine forty, comrade Lam Mieu led Trieu Dai Cuong in.”

Lam Mieu raised her head suddenly.

"I do not have!"

The soldier produced a registration book.

"Old Liu guarding the gate said, you said Trieu Dai Cuong is a distant cousin, coming to give you something."

The room seemed to explode. I looked at Lam Mieu.

“Didn't you say you didn't know him?”

Lam Mieu's lips trembled. Luc Xuyen's face also changed. Officer Chau asked in a low voice:

“Lin Mieu, explain.”

Lam Mieu covered her face and cried:

“I just… I just asked him to help me pack.”

"Packing? Packing from the gate straight into the old warehouse?"

“And then move straight to my bed?”

She gritted her teeth and couldn't say a word. Trieu Dai Cuong suddenly knelt to the ground.

Trieu Dai Cuong also panicked.

“You even said Battalion Commander Luc would protect you!”

This statement was just thrown out. Luc Xuyen's face turned black. 6. I looked at Luc Xuyen.

"Did you hear that? She said you would protect her."

Luc Xuyen didn't look at me but stared at Lam Mieu.

“Do you really know him?”

Lam Mieu cried and shook her head, then nodded again.

"Mr. Xuyen, he is my distant cousin. I was afraid of what people would talk about, so I didn't dare admit it."

“But I really didn't order him to harm my sister-in-law!”

I drawled.

“Afraid of what people will talk about?”

"If you lead a strange man into the military area, you won't be afraid."

“It's not scary to take him to the old warehouse.”

"When you rushed in to slander me, you weren't afraid, but now you're afraid that people will know that you are relatives?"

Lam Mieu was speechless and couldn't say a word. Officer Chau turned to Trieu Dai Cuong.

“How did she arrange for you?”

Trieu Dai Cuong knelt on the ground, sweating profusely.
