Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — Du An's Store
At ten o'clock, Chu Nghien Bach couldn't make up the full thirty-nine thousand. I told the account to temporarily stop distribution in the South area. It's not a big business, just a fleet of delivery vehicles for three stores and a few small customers. But the Chu family likes to use it to save face. Over the past few years, Chu Nghien Bach has boasted in front of relatives that he owns dozens of cars. At eleven o'clock, the customer called his phone. At twelve o'clock, the driver surrounded the Chu family's door demanding salary. At one o'clock in the afternoon, her mother-in-law took her father-in-law to Nam citadel. This time she didn't cry, but as soon as she entered the door she knelt down. “Du An, mom was wrong.” I sat in the living room, not helping. Her father-in-law stood behind her, his face gray. "Just let the distribution recover first, take it slow." I asked: "Where is Chu Nghien Bach?" The mother-in-law's eyes avoided. “It's handling the driver's side.” “Tell him to come.” Father-in-law was frantic. “Do I have to force him to bow his head?” I looked at him. "Don't you all value the house owner the most? Tell the house owner to come and talk." The mother-in-law knelt and crawled forward. "Du An, Tieu Tu don't understand things, Tieu Hoa doesn't understand things either. But Nghien Bach treats me honestly. Yesterday he didn't sleep all night, kept saying he couldn't get a divorce." “He doesn't want a divorce because he loves me, or because the divorce is over, the Southern distribution and three stores have nothing to do with him?” Mother-in-law opened her mouth. The father-in-law's face was red and purple like a pig's liver. “How can you think about your husband like that?” I asked back: "Don't people still think of me like that?" No one talked in the room. The doorbell rang. Old Pham went to open the door. Chu Nghien Bach stood outside the door, his vest wrinkled and his tie askew. In his hand he held a parchment bag. “Thirty-nine thousand here.” The mother-in-law immediately breathed a sigh of relief. I don't accept. “Source of money.” Chu Nghien Bach paused. “I borrowed it.” “Borrow from whom?” He was silent. I said: "Taken from Tan Hoa's bride price?" The mother-in-law quickly said: "It's not a marriage, it's a loan. She married into the Chu family, helping the family overcome difficulties is also the right thing to do." The next second, Tan Hoa's shrill scream rang out outside the door. “Who said it should be done?” She rushed in, behind was Chu Tu and two mediators in uniform. "You guys tricked me into getting pregnant, cheated me out of my bride price, and wanted to use my money to fill his hole. Today no one can pretend to be a good person!" There was a scratch on Chu Tu's face. He pointed at Tan Hoa and scolded: "Do you still have the face to say? Whether the baby is mine or not, you know for yourself!" The room felt like it had been thrown into a pot of fire. The mother-in-law's eyes were dark, she had to hold on to the shoe cabinet to keep from falling. Chu Nghien Bach looked at Tan Hoa. “Speak clearly.” Tan Hoa rubbed the chip without fear of cracking. "Let's say it. The baby story is fake, I'm not pregnant. If your mother hadn't said every day that she was giving birth to a boy, then give it to the store. Would I be so serious as to use this as a talisman?" Chu Tu rushed forward to hit her. The mediator stopped him. I sat on the sofa, watching this whole family bite each other. They all pointed their spears at me at the same time. Now that there was no more meat left, I and D.A.O finally slashed back towards each other. The mediator was called by Tan Hoa. She was afraid that Chu Tu would steal the bride price, so she went to the community to ask for help first. The Chu family did not expect that their favorite public opinion trick would be learned so quickly by their new daughter-in-law. After the mediator looked at the chat history that Tan Hoa brought, his expression was not very good. “The owner of the bride price must consider the actual situation, but you arbitrarily kept her bank card, this is definitely not appropriate.” The mother-in-law was so frantic that she slapped her thigh. "She tricked her into getting pregnant! She tricked us from the Chu family!" Tan Hoa immediately bit back. "You lied to me first, saying that all three stores belonged to Chu Tu. If I marry them, I will be the owner. Now the store is gone, the car is gone, Chu Tu still owes a lot, if I don't go, can I stay and pay the debt with you guys?" Chu Tu scolded her: "In the beginning, you also married to target the store, right?" "That's right." Tan Hoa wiped his tears. "I am greedy, you are also greedy. Who is cleaner than the other?" This sentence stopped her mother-in-law so much that her face turned purple. Chu Nghien Bach stood next to him, as if exhausted
t strength. I told the mediator: "This is their family matter. I just handle the debt." The mediator nodded. I gave the Southern region's distribution deficit table to Chu Nghien Bach. "Thirty-nine thousand, transferred to the account today. Twelve thousand goods, Chu Tu paid within three days. Sixty thousand from father-in-law, paid within a week. Eight thousand six hundred and forty-four from Tan Hoa paid yesterday, no prosecution." Mother-in-law squeaked: "Do you still want us to pay?" I asked: "Aren't people talking about dividing the house?" She felt like she was slapped by this sentence. Chu Nghien Bach placed the parchment bag on the table. “In here is thirty-nine thousand.” I'm not open. “Bank transfer, no cash accepted.” The blue vein on his forehead twitched. “Tran Du An, do you have to insult me like that?” “I'm afraid of counterfeit money.” A Tran standing next to her almost burst out laughing. Chu Nghien Bach took a deep breath and picked up his phone to transfer money.
