Chapter 9
Chapter 9 — Exterior Hugs Her Belly, Drives My Master And Mother Out Of The Main Court
The large, heavy red gate slammed shut, directly blocking all the old lady's curses from outside. The moment the gate slammed shut, we heard a heavy thud outside. The old lady's eyes widened, her whole body stiffened and she fell to the blue stone floor, hit by the wind. Lieu Oanh Oanh and Lieu Ba Tu frantically ran to help her up. People on the street continuously pointed and talked, some even threw rotten vegetables at them. Bui Nghien had been escorted away by the service staff a long time ago, and the once limitless masters of the Bui mansion were now no different from bereaved family dogs. The large gate was once again locked tightly. I looked at the empty main courtyard before my eyes and slowly exhaled a long, impure breath. For the past three years, I have spent all my thoughts filling this bottomless pit, forcing myself to become a businesswoman full of money, all just to fulfill Bui Nghien's ridiculous reputation. Now it's finally quiet. Outside, Bui Nghien's mournful screams suddenly rang out. I don't know how he managed to run back here, right now he was clinging tightly outside the door, leaning close to the crack of the door and screaming wildly.
"Tri Vi! I know you're still inside! Out of respect for your three-year love between husband and wife, please give me a way to live! I'm willing to be a buffalo and a horse for you!"
I put down the tea cup, stepped on my embroidered shoes and slowly walked to the door, looking through the crack at the face that once made me flutter but now only left me disgusted.
"Bui Nghien, every brick in this yard was bought by my Tham family. You don't even have the qualifications to step on my doorstep."
I turned around and left, from beginning to end without looking back again. Outside, in the chaos of pushing and shoving, a small black painted wooden box belonging to Bui Nghien was thrown and rolled to the side of the gutter at the corner of the street. A few thugs were always squatting on the corner of the street, glancing at each other, quietly surrounding them and approaching. The autumn rain of Giang Ninh city is both cold and urgent. In the ruined temple outside the city, the wind blew everywhere, rainwater dripped along the broken roof tiles onto the mud floor. Lieu Oanh Oanh and Lieu Ba Tu were huddled in the corner under the temple, their whole bodies were soaked, they were so cold they were shivering. The old lady lay on a temporary pile of dry grass, her mouth was distorted, her eyes were askew, her throat was making wheezing sounds, half of her body was completely unable to move anymore. One of Bui Nghien's legs was loosely clamped by two tree branches, her whole body leaned against a rotten pillar in the temple, her face pale. He fell and twisted his leg while jostling with some thugs. The small wooden box thrown from the Bui mansion was now being held tightly in Liu's arms by Mrs. Lieu. That was the last bit of Bui Nghien's inheritance. It contained more than ten taels of scrap silver and a few valuable jewelry. Bui Nghien stared at that wooden box, her eyes almost flashing fierce green light.
“Give me the box.”
His voice was hoarse, revealing a ferocious tone. Mrs. Lieu rolled her eyes and glared at him, hugging the box deeper into her arms.
"On what basis should I give it to you? My niece was harmed like this by you, this money is for us to grow old!"
Bui Nghien laughed coldly, dragged her injured leg and crawled forward step.
“Your niece?”
"An underground prostitute, pretending to be pregnant to climb high, but still pretending to be pure and chaste!"
"This silver is the last bit of capital of my Bui family, it must belong to me!"
As soon as Liu Oanh Oanh heard these words, she was like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, immediately jumping up.
“Bui Nghien!”
“Do you still have the face to speak?
"If it weren't for your determination to come to the restaurant to show off your prestige, how would we have ended up in this situation?"
"You are trash, you can't even feed yourself, the money given to you is just like throwing it into the water!"
She immediately rushed forward, reaching out to grab the wooden box in Mrs. Lieu's arms. However, Mrs. Lieu held her tightly and did not let go. The two of them just fell to the muddy ground, rolling around, frantically grabbing each other's hair and scratching each other until they had no dignity left.
“Give it to me!”
“Don't give it!”
"I've been serving you for so many years, I still haven't paid you the money you still owe!"
