Chapter 1
Chapter 1 — Forget Them All, We'll Live Better Again
After waking up from the poisoning, I forgot everyone. Forget the Regent who personally abolished my position as Princess, and also forget the Little Crown Prince that I raised myself. They protected my cousin, scolded me for being cruel, deceitful, and greedy for glory and wealth. But they don't know that, after forgetting them, I live happier than any day before. Much later, they knelt in front of my bed, begging me to look at them one more time. Life doesn't seem to be good at all. Just an empty mind. I don't remember who I am, nor where this is. A Dan said, my name is Tham Tri Vi, I am the Regent Princess. At that time I was drinking sweet soup, I almost choked to death.
"Your Majesty? Me?"
A Dan nodded. I asked again:
“So who is the Regent?”
She was silent for a long time before answering:
“It's the young lady's husband.”
The two words husband sound scary. I thought seriously for a moment, my head hurt like a needle, so I didn't think anymore.
“So he... no, is he handsome?”
A Dan moved his lips. Before I could answer, the hospital door was kicked open. A group of maids and women rushed in, surrounding a woman wearing a moon-white dress in the middle. She was very beautiful, her eyebrows and eyes were gentle, her waist was also small, as if a gust of wind could blow her down. It's just the way she looked at me that I didn't like very much. As soon as she entered the door, she coughed softly twice. The maid next to her immediately supported her.
"Miss Tong, be careful. Your body just got a little better. Don't let bad luck affect you."
I bowed my head and looked at myself. I am sitting peacefully, where is the bad luck? The woman walked up to me and said softly:
"Little sister Tri Vi, I'm not here to fight with you today. The prince has agreed, three days later we will write a letter of separation. If you have resentment in your heart, you can just vent it on me. Why do you have to break the jade pendant left by my mother?"
I looked at her blankly.
“What jade pendant?”
Her eye sockets immediately turned red.
“Are you still going to pretend?”
I'm even more confused. I don't even know who she is, what are you pretending to be? A Dan stepped up to cover my face.
"Miss Tong, my young lady is sick. I haven't even stepped out of the courtyard these days. How can I go and break your jade pendant?"
Miss Tong didn't say anything, just bowed her head and shed tears. But the maid behind her said shrilly:
"Everyone in the Royal Palace knows that your Royal Highness is jealous because our young lady is loved by the Royal Family. Last night her jade pendant was broken by someone at the lotus pond, and a lady saw with her own eyes that the person next to the Royal Highness had been there!"
I don't understand what they are arguing about. Just feeling them make noise makes my head hurt. So I stuffed the last piece of sweet potato into my mouth, chewed and said incoherently:
“If you want to cry, go outside and cry, it's blocking my place to bask in the sun.”
The yard suddenly became quiet. Miss Tong's tears were still on her face, as if she didn't expect me to say that. A Dan was also stunned. I thought I hadn't said it clearly enough, so I raised my hand and pointed to the door. Miss Tong's body staggered, as if suffering great self-pity. At that moment, a cold male voice rang out outside the courtyard.
“Tham Tri Vi, have you caused enough trouble?”
I raised my head to look luxurious. At the door stood a man. He was very tall, dressed in dark brocade, his eyebrows and eyes were cold and sharp, like the surface of a frozen lake in the middle of winter. Behind him was a young man about eleven or twelve years old. That young man was also very handsome, but his face only showed disgust. The man walked in and the first thing he did was help Miss Tong. Miss Tong said softly:
"Brother Hoai Nghien, don't blame sister Tri Vi. She just feels uncomfortable in her heart."
I look at him. He also looked at me. A moment later, a layer of anger rose in his eyes.
“Aren't you sorry yet?”
I point at myself. He smiled coldly.
“Besides her, who else could it be?”
I looked at him seriously for a long moment. Truly unfamiliar. So I honestly ask:
“So who are you?”
The man's face immediately darkened. The teenager standing next to him couldn't bear it anymore.
"Tham Tri Vi, what tricks do you still want to play? Your father is about to break up with you, isn't it fun to pretend to lose your memory?"
