Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — From One Article to A Life Together
10 That evening, the school's founding anniversary took place. The large hall was empty. When Luc Chien wore a cool black suit and walked to sit in front of the piano, all the female students in the school went crazy. The stage lights shone on him, as if covering him with a layer of sparkling gold. Long, slender fingers glide across the keys, ringing out melodious, mesmerizing music. I sat in the stands, a bit dazed. It cannot be denied that Luc Chien is really attractive when he is serious. Just when everyone was still immersed in the sound of the piano... the atmosphere suddenly changed tone. The melody suddenly became strangely cheerful. After that, a "big swan" wearing a white ballet dress, a golden wig, red lipstick... jumped up and down on the stage. The entire hall exploded in a burst of laughter. Duong Tuan, with tears in his eyes, twirled around the stage. As he turned and glanced down, his eyes were full of despair. I covered my face, not daring to admit that it was my younger brother. While playing, Luc Chien glanced at Duong Tuan, the corners of his lips curved up into a sly smile because of the successful joke. When the music ended, Luc Chien stood up and bowed. But he did not leave the stage immediately. He picked up the microphone, his eyes pierced the crowd, stopping exactly where I was sitting. At that moment, my heart seemed to skip a beat.
“I want to give this song to someone.”
Luc Chien's low, magnetic voice echoed throughout the hall through the microphone.
“Although the way we met each other was a bit... special.”
A good-natured laugh rang out below. Everyone knows the "perverted roommate" incident. Luc Chien was not angry, on the contrary, he smiled softly, his eyes became rare and gentle.
“At first, I just wanted to punch people.”
“But after meeting her, I realized - even if I was deceived, I was still willing to volunteer.”
“Deputy Ha.”
He called my name.
“Before, I wanted to beat your younger brother into fear and submission.
Now... I want to ask you, can you give me a chance, so I can properly call him my brother-in-law? The whole hall exploded. The cheers and screams almost lifted the roof off the house. Cao Diem next to me was so excited that he almost fainted: "Agree! Agree!" I raised my head to look at Luc Chien standing on the stage. He stood in the bright light, at the moment when thousands of people were paying attention, but in the eyes of only one person - me. Excitement, anticipation, and overflowing love that cannot be hidden. I took a deep breath and stood up. In everyone's eyes, I looked up and called out:
“Luc Chien!”
He tightened his grip on the microphone: "Present!"
“From now on, don't bully Duong Tuan anymore!”
Luc Chien was stunned, then smiled brightly.
“Listen to me! From now on he is my little brother, I will hold him like an egg!”
On stage, Duong Tuan was moved to tears, lifted his skirt and ran to hug Luc Chien. As a result, Luc Chien kicked him far away:
“Go away! Don't get all over me with chalk!”
I couldn't help but laugh. Laughing so much that... my eye sockets were a little stingy. I think... this is probably the best ending. Although the beginning was a bit ridiculous, the process was as chaotic as a flying chicken and a barking dog. But luckily — that person was him. 11 Later. Luc Chien and I are officially together. Duong Tuan truly became Luc Chien's brother-in-law, his status skyrocketed. Even though Luc Chien occasionally criticized me for a few words, as soon as he brought up my name, he immediately closed his ears and accepted the attack. Graduation day from fourth year of university. Luc Chien proposed to me right in the school yard. No flowers, no rings. He held up the ugly green frog that had been washed until it was discolored, and knelt on one knee to the ground.
“Pho Ha, although this dish was obtained by your sister, it is still considered a token of our love.”
"If you agree to marry me, in the future you will keep the money in the house, I will keep Duong Tuan, and I... will also give it all to you."
I was both angry and amused: "Who wants to keep Duong Tuan?!"
"So don't keep it, just keep it to yourself."
Luc Chien stuffed the frog into my lap, took the opportunity to take out a diamond ring from his pocket, and immediately put it on my finger. The movements were so fast that it seemed like he was afraid I would change my mind.
"Once you put it on, you won't be able to escape."
He stood up, hugged me, smiling as if he had just embraced the whole world. The sunshine is evenly spread, the wind is just gentle enough. I leaned against his chest, listening to the strong heartbeat of the person in front of me. Suddenly I remembered that night. When he was aggressive in his post, screaming to bury me alive. Who would have thought? In the end, it was he who "buried" himself in my heart. Perhaps, this is what people call — destiny. (— Full text —)
