Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — Good Hours Don't Wait For You
So he thought that no matter how much he favored Song Wanwan, I would be patient. I looked straight into his eyes: "Luc Thua An, you're right, I really can't bear it." Luc Thua An seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, a smile appeared at the corner of his lips. I continued: “But that was before, not now.” The smile on Luc Thua An's face stiffened: "To Niem, you should know when to stop!" I didn't pay attention to him, just lowered my head to look at the phone. The chat page still stops at the word "Okay". At eight fifty-four minutes, MC almost ran upstairs. "Miss To, Mr. Luc! I really can't wait any longer!" "It's eight fifty-eight minutes after the wedding, the camera crew, convoy and fireworks downstairs are all ready." “If we delay any further, everything behind will be chaotic!” Relatives in the room simultaneously looked towards Luc Thua An. The eldest uncle said in a low voice: "Thua An, if you still want to marry Niem Niem, then quickly take her out now." My aunt also impatiently said: "Yes, if Loan Loan doesn't go, just let her do her makeup. You two must go downstairs." Tong Loan Loan immediately frowned: "What do you mean?" “I'm the maid of honor, if I don't come along, how will the process proceed?” The cousin smiled coldly: "Without a bridesmaid, the wedding can still be held." “Missing a good time is truly unsightly.” Tong Loan Loan's face turned pale, she turned to look at Luc Thua An: "Thua An..." Luc Thua An immediately blocked in front of her: "Enough! You don't have to target her like that." My father stared at him: "Luc Thua An, I'll ask you one last time, are you going out now?" Luc Thua An did not answer immediately. He looked at Tong Loan Loan, then looked at me and said: "Wait for Loan Loan to finish her makeup." Everyone in the room was stunned. My mother's tears finally fell. I was extremely calm again. The clock hands showed eight fifty-five minutes. I pinned the flower with the word bride on my chest, then held the flower on the groom's chest. Luc Thua An's pupils shrank: "To Niem, what are you doing?" I looked at the clock on the wall: "I told you, I can't miss the auspicious hour." “So, you should go down.” Luc Thua An's face darkened and he reached out to pull me back: "To Niem, stop joking!" “If you don't go out, who will pick you up?” I took a step back: "Then you don't need me to pick you up." Having finished speaking, I picked up the wedding bouquet and turned around to walk out. There were sounds of surprise from behind that the relatives tried to suppress: "Does Niem Niem really want to marry himself?" “How can that be?” “The groom is still in the room!” Tong Loan Loan was also impatient, but mostly incomprehensible: "Nim Niem, what are you doing?" “I'm just touching up my makeup, do you have to go this far?” I don't turn around. When I reached the top of the stairs, I heard hurried footsteps behind me. Right after that, Luc Thua An caught up and grabbed my wrist. “To Niem!” He tried to suppress his anger, his voice lowered: "Today is our wedding. Relatives from both sides are present, guests at the hotel are also waiting." “Now you go down alone, do you want everyone to see the joke?” I looked at him and suddenly felt funny: "Is it me who makes everyone laugh?" Luc Thua An was speechless and unable to answer. Eight fifty-six minutes past eight, two minutes left until the auspicious time to get married. Mom looked at me with red eyes. My father followed, his voice hoarse: "Nim Niem, have you thought carefully?" I looked at him: "I've thought carefully." Grandmother stood by the door with a cane, nodding slightly: "Nien Niem, when the time is right, just leave the house." “No matter what, we won't let ourselves feel sorry for ourselves.” My eye sockets heated up: “Yes.” I continued walking out. At eight fifty-seven, I went to the main door on the first floor. Outside the door stood full of relatives. Aunts, uncles, cousins and a few elders from the countryside. They held wedding candy and lucky money envelopes in their hands, all happily waiting there. Outside, the Luc family's float was parked not far away. The leading car was decorated with flowers, with the names of me and Luc Thua An on the front. The red carpet has been rolled out to the door. Fireworks were also displayed. Photography
When he joined the camera, the MC was so impatient that his head was covered in sweat. Everything is prepared. Just waiting for the bride and groom to step out. Luc Thua An came up behind me, his face extremely ugly: "To Niem, how long do you want to cause trouble?" I stopped walking. The big door is right in front. Just take one more step, sit on the float, and I'll sell my price. I lowered my head to look at the red light at my feet, then raised my head to look at him: "Luc Thua An, it's eight fifty-seven now." “The auspicious hour is coming, the door is right ahead.” “I ask you one last time.” “Do you want to come with me?” The surroundings immediately became silent, all relatives looked at Luc Thua An. Luc Thua An tightened his grip, panic flashed in his eyes. But soon, that panic was overwhelmed by impatience: "Nim Niem, don't make trouble anymore. Wait for Loan Loan to finish her makeup, we'll go together." As if afraid that I wouldn't understand, he emphasized again:
