Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — Good Hours Don't Wait For You
Behind each chair is a light yellow silk ribbon tied. On the big screen in front of the stage there were no wedding photos of me and Luc Thua An. There is only one photo. That is a photo of me and Giang Nghien taken under the old house many years ago. At that time I was sixteen years old, he was seventeen years old. I wore a uniform, hugged a stack of books, and smiled stupidly. Giang Nghien stood next to me, his hands in his pockets, his head tilted to look at me. Even I had almost forgotten that photo. But he still keeps it. I stood in front of the wedding hall, looking at the pre-arranged wedding scene, momentarily stunned. “Giang Nghien, you are so fully prepared.” Giang Nghien put his hands in his pockets, the corners of his lips could not be suppressed: "Of course." "Giang Nghien, you either don't rob, if you rob, you must rob it beautifully." I looked at him. He immediately coughed softly and corrected himself: "Of course, now you voluntarily go with me." “Completely legal, in accordance with regulations and integrity.” He led me inside. I saw my relatives arriving one by one. It turned out that the convoy not only picked me up, but also arranged someone to pick up the girl's relatives who were staying at the hotel. My mother has arrived, waiting for me in the break room. Seeing me, she quickly stood up: "Nim Niem." Dad stood next to me, his eye sockets still red. He looked at Giang Nghien, his voice stiff: "Fortunately, your boy arrived in time." Giang Nghien immediately stood up straight: "Don't worry." “From now on, you will always arrive on time.” My father snorted: "Don't say it too firmly." Giang Nghien nodded: "Just supervise me." My mother was finally made fun of by him. Aunt Giang also rushed over. As soon as she saw me, she shed tears: "Nim Niem, I've been waiting for this day for many years." Having finished speaking, she felt uncomfortable again and quickly explained: "No, I don't mean that. What I mean is..." I grabbed her hand: "Aunt Giang, I understand." Aunt Giang wiped her tears, smiled and nodded: "It's okay to understand, it's okay to understand." Giang Nghien looked at the watch on his wrist: "It's two minutes past ten." “Nien Niem, go change into your wedding dress first.” “The ceremony will begin at eleven-eighteen.” In the dressing room, a new wedding dress is hanging on the rack. Silk mermaid-style dress, the end of the dress is studded with small pearls and embroidered with lily-of-the-valley flowers. Simple, clean but so beautiful that people can't take their eyes off it. When I changed into a dress, the makeup artist couldn't help but compliment: "Miss To, this dress really suits you." I looked at myself in the mirror. The chiffon scarf has been changed to a long, thin one that hangs lightly behind the shoulders. Makeup has also been retouched. The red mark at the corner of the eye was hidden, leaving only a bright and calm look. While I was changing my earrings, there was suddenly an argument outside the door. “Mr. Luc, you can't go inside.” “Get out of the way, I want to see To Niem.” My movements stopped. Immediately afterwards, the door was pushed open. Luc Thua An stood outside the door, his breathing was chaotic, his tie was askew, and the groom's chest flower was still attached to his chest. The moment he saw me, his whole body stiffened. Maybe because I changed my wedding dress. Maybe it was because he finally realized I wasn't joking. “Nem Niem.” His voice was hoarse and scary. The makeup artist looked at me, a bit unsure of what to do. I put down my earrings: "You go out first." The makeup artist nodded, bowed and left. There were only me and Luc Thua An left in the room. Luc Thua An took a step forward. I took a step back. His steps stiffened. “Nien Niem, I came to apologize to you.” “I was wrong just now.” “I shouldn't have made you wait for Loan Loan.” “I shouldn't have said you were making trouble.” “Can I come back with you?” I calmly looked at him: "Back to where?" Luc Thua An said impatiently: "Back to our wedding." “The guests at the hotel are still there, and their parents are also waiting.” "There's still time to run back now. We can reverse the process." “Don't act impulsively.” "Nien Niem, marriage is a lifelong affair. You can't just marry Jiang Nghien out of anger." Hearing those words, I suddenly felt extremely tired. “Luc Thua An.” “I'm not impulsive.” He s
stunned. I looked at myself in the mirror, also looked at him in the mirror. “If I really marry you today, I will regret it.” “In every day from now on, I will remember that on the day I got married, my groom would rather wait for the bridesmaids to do their makeup than hold my hand and walk out the door.” “Every time I see Tong Loan Loan, I will remember how you abandoned me time and time again because of her.” “In our marriage, I will continue to be patient.” "Patience that she calls you in the middle of the night, patience that she looks for you when she's sick, heartbroken looking for you, patience that she sees you as someone who can call at any time." “Then I will continue to tell you that she has no bad intentions.” “I'll keep saying you think too much.” “Luc Thua An, just thinking about days like that makes me feel suffocated.” Luc Thua An's face gradually turned pale. "Not." He shook his head. “It won't be like that anymore.”
