Chapter 3 — Hiding for Five Years, One Night Becomes Legend

At this distance, at this density of firepower, it is normally impossible to dodge. But practicing Tai Chi is not about dodging. It's "Chemical". Don't fight directly, but go with the flow. My body traced a strange curve in the rain of bullets - sometimes advancing, sometimes retreating, sometimes high and low, movements as smooth as clouds drifting in flowing water. Those bullets were as if... not that they didn't hit me, but that my body automatically gave way to them. Like water flowing through a stone, natural to perfection. The third guy is in the front left, holding his gun and frantically pulling the trigger. I got close to his face.

“Van Thu” (Rattan Hand).

The left hand rotated outward, placed it on the barrel of his gun, and gently used the force to push it. The gun's muzzle was deflected 90 degrees — pointed straight at the fourth man standing next to him.

“Tap tach —”

His teammates were swept down by his own gun. The fourth man screamed miserably and collapsed. Before the third guy could understand what happened, my right hand patted his chest.

“Discovery”.

The real killer skill of Tai Chi does not lie in its external appearance, but in its internal strength. On the surface, it just looks like a light push. But his whole body seemed to be hit by an invisible truck - he flew back more than 4 meters, fell to the ground, blood flowed from the corner of his mouth, and his eyes rolled back. Four people. Five seconds. The crowd behind began to panic. I heard loud screams in a foreign language — listening to the accent, they were mercenaries from Northern Myanmar. Someone is screaming something. Basically, “Concentrate firepower”. Dozens of guns simultaneously pointed towards me. To be honest, if this were a flat, empty land with 20 guns focused on firing, I would have to kneel. But this is the jungle. Many trees. Many obstacles. And I - My foot kicked hard, my whole body shot straight behind the nearest big tree. The rain of bullets crushed the bark of the trees, and the wood dust flew away. I took a deep breath. Two seconds later, there was a very short gap in the sound of gunfire — someone was reloading bullets. Enough. My body jumped up and I ran straight up the tree. That's right, up the tree. Does Tai Chi have something called light gong? Do not have. But my grandfather once said: "If you stand and practice to the extreme, roots will grow under your feet. On the contrary, it means kicking the ground like a spring." My pedaling force is enough to make this 75kg body shoot straight to a height of 3 meters in the blink of an eye. Looking down from the canopy, the position of the people below was clearly visible. They are still firing bullets into the trees. No one looked up. When I fell from the tree branch, I was like a soundless shadow. The fifth guy took a chopping blow to the back of his neck, without even having time to groan, he collapsed limply. The moment the sixth guy turned around, I locked his wrist — “Chan Na Thu”, a move from Tai Chi Tieu Gia. Twist slightly. The sound of joints cracking. Before his scream could escape, my other hand tightly covered his mouth and threw him far away - hitting the seventh guy. The two of them rolled into a lump. I don't stop. The steps under my feet never stopped for a second. The core of Tai Chi's dharma can be summed up in just one word - "Round". Always draw circles. It's never a straight line. So my travel trajectory is unpredictable. They wanted to shoot at me, but discovered that the target was constantly changing direction, changing speed, and changing altitude. The trees in the forest become objects my shield, my springboard, my weapon. As I passed by a small tree trunk the size of a bowl, my right palm slapped the trunk hard —

“Ahhh!”

This curse is not mine. It belonged to the eighth guy who was hit by a broken tree trunk. Even I didn't expect that I was using too much force. Eight people. Twenty seconds. The remaining guys finally collapsed. Someone started running back. Some people screamed hoarsely, their voice carrying a clear tremor.
