Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — I'm an Orphan, So Where Did My Mother Come From?
Chu Man Man choked.
“She had a dispute with that aunt, I'm an advisor so…”
The police interrupted directly.
“You are a consultant, not an enforcer.”
“You have no right to ask security to stop others from leaving.”
Chu Man Man's face became increasingly pale. I looked at her.
“Who printed my profile?”
"Don't know."
“Do you have system access logs?”
"Hollow."
“Are there surveillance cameras?”
“Today is broken.”
I laughed. This answer is so familiar it's funny. Every time something happens, the camera breaks down. The police frowned.
“The whole floor is broken?”
Chu Man Man bowed her head.
“I guess so... I'm not in charge of that either.”
I took out the service contract. Flip to the last page. On it is the complaint phone number of Khai Do Du Hoc headquarters and the mobile number of the person in charge of the Trieu Duong branch. Thieu Minh Vien. I called directly. The phone rang five times before being picked up.
“Hello, who is it?”
“General Manager Thieu, I am Hua Tri Nam.”
“Customers of Trieu Duong street branch.”
“I was just blackmailed for 1,800,000 yuan by someone pretending to be my biological mother at your center.”
“Adviser Chu Man Man is suspected of leaking my citizen identification card and account balance confirmation.”
“I'm at the police station right now.”
“The police need you to cooperate in providing system logs and camera data.”
The other end of the line was silent for two seconds. Then the voice suddenly changed.
“What did you just say?”
I turned on the speakerphone. Chu Man Man immediately raised his head. Only panic remained in his eyes.
“General Manager Thieu, it's not like that!”
Thieu Minh Vien's voice lowered.
“Chu Man Man, are you also at the police station?”
Her lips began to tremble.
“I... I'm just helping a client handle a family dispute...”
I coldly spoke up:
“General Director Thieu.”
“You should be there within twenty minutes.”
“I have reported to the police, and will also file a complaint with the market regulator and the cybersecurity regulator.”
"If the center does not cooperate, I will ask the police to proceed with data extraction in accordance with the law."
Thieu Minh Vien immediately responded:
“I'll be right there.”
The phone just disconnected. Chu Man Man stared at me. Tense voice.
“Hua Tri Nam, do you have to push things to this point?”
I looked straight into her eyes.
“The property my parents left me.”
“You guys still dare to interfere.”
“So you think I still need to leave a way out for you guys?”
Thieu Minh Vien arrived faster than I thought. When he entered the police station, his tie was tilted to one side, and there were beads of sweat on his forehead.
“Dear police officer, I am the person in charge of Khai Do Du Hoc's Trieu Duong street branch.”
The police briefly summarize the situation. When he heard the phrase "revealing the client's parent's record of sacrifice while on duty", Thieu Minh Vien's face immediately changed. He turned to look at Chu Man Man.
“Who issues customer records?”
Chu Man Man tried to stay calm.
"I do not know."
Thieu Minh Vien took out his phone and logged into the company's internal system.
“Our system records access.”
“Every time you download, print or send it out, it leaves behind an account of manipulation.”
Countenance Chu Man Man turned white little by little. Looking at that reaction, I had an answer in my heart. Very soon, Thieu Minh Vien opened my customer profile. The three most recent operations are clearly displayed on the screen. July 26, 10:46 p.m. Account: zhoumm Download documents: Scanned copy of citizen identification card. Confirmation of account balance. Certificate of parents' death while on duty. Notarized document set. July 26, 10:52 p.m. Print documents: Financial proof. Application for deletion of household registration. Guardianship certificate. July 27, 09:13. Sending email out: A completely unfamiliar email address. Thieu Minh Vien's hand stopped. Chu Man Man immediately explained:
“That day I was preparing visa documents for guests!”
I asked directly:
“When preparing a visa application, do you need to send documents to a strange email?”
Her lips began to turn white.
“I sent it to the translator.”
Thieu Minh Vien said coldly:
“The translation partner's email is not this address.”
The police recorded the email address and asked:
“Whose email is that?”
