Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — If you don't see the strange words appearing before your eyes
It was like she really just wanted to share the burden with her sister who had just gone through a dangerous birth. I tightened my arm holding my son.
"No need."
Nha Ky's face stiffened slightly. I looked straight at her.
“You can take your child wherever you want.”
"My son doesn't need you to take care of him."
Phan Tu Lan's hand that was placed on the blanket suddenly tightened. In just a blink of an eye, she regained her gentle expression.
“This girl is still as stubborn as when she was a child.”
“After suffering so much, I still refuse to let others help me.”
I looked up at her.
“I told you not to take the baby away.”
Tran My Dung's smile faded completely.
“Ms. Tong, if you are determined not to cooperate, our work will be very difficult.”
I won't argue further. I reached out and pressed the call button at the head of the bed. The call bell sounds.
“Call the head nurse here.”
I looked at each person in the room, slowly stating my request.
"From this point on, all care for my two children must be done right in the hospital room."
“It is not allowed to take either child to a centralized care area.”
“If the hospital can't respond, then wait until my husband returns and then deal with it.”
Phan Tu Lan's eyes immediately turned red. She looked at me as if she had just suffered a terrible hurt.
“Tong An Ninh, don't you believe even your biological mother?”
I have heard that question for more than twenty years. When I was young, Nha Ky broke the trophy I worked hard to win, and my mother said I was still young and I should give in. Nha Ky secretly wore my party dress, breaking all the zippers, but my mother said it was just a set of clothes, my sister shouldn't count. After my father passed away, the insurance money clearly stated that the beneficiary was me. Phan Tu Lan still came to find me crying. She said Nha Ky still had to go to college, I was the older sister, so I should give her a part. Every thing I own, every opportunity that belongs to me, she asks me to give up. This time, what she wants to get is no longer a trophy, a dress or money. She wanted me to give up my newly born son. The head nurse quickly arrived. I recounted the entire incident, and at the same time repeated my request not to take the two children out of the room. After hearing this, Tran My Dung's eyes immediately turned red. She bowed her head, her voice full of self-pity.
“I just want to do the right thing and ensure the health of the children.”
“I really don't understand why Ms. Tong is so prejudiced against me.”
I didn't answer her. My eyes were only on the head nurse.
“Being dedicated to your work does not mean you can ignore your guardian's opinions.”
“I do not agree to let my child leave the room.”
“All care operations must be performed in front of me.”
The head nurse looked at me for a moment. Then, she turned to observe Phan Tu Lan and Tran My Dung.
"If the pregnant woman and her family firmly request, the hospital can arrange special care in the room."
Phan Tu Lan's expression immediately changed. She turned to blame me:
“Tieu Ninh, your husband is not here, how much do you want to humiliate yourself?”
"You just had a surgery, don't you want to stay healthy anymore?"
I only answer one question:
“Before he comes back, you two children must always be in your sight.”
Phan Tu Lan's lips trembled.
“Do you really not trust me anymore?”
Only then did Nha Ky step forward to help her.
“Mom, stop talking.”
“You just happened Being born, being stressed is understandable.”
She was silent for a few seconds, then looked at me with red eyes. The voice carried just enough disappointment to make anyone who heard it feel like she was being unjustly wronged.
“But sister, I didn't expect you to be so wary of both me and mother.”
Having finished speaking, Nha Ky hugged her child tightly in her arms. She turned around and helped Phan Tu Lan leave the hospital room. As soon as the door closed, the words appeared before my eyes again. 【Don't be too quick to breathe.】 【They haven't given up yet.】 【Phan Tu Lan spent two hundred thousand to buy husband Tran My Dung. The original plan was to take advantage of her coma to change the identification bracelet, then edit the records.】 【Now that she is awake, they will move to the second plan.】 【At two o'clock this morning, there will be a power outage on the first floor.】 【Tran My Dung will use the excuse of checking the warming device to take her child away.】 【If she continues to resist If you resist, she will inject a sedative into your IV line.】 I looked at the IV bag next to me, a chill ran down my spine. My hands trembled. Not out of fear. But because of anger. I always knew that Phan Tu Lan favored Tong Nha Ky. But I never thought she could be this cruel. That's her great-grandson. A child was just born not long ago. But in her eyes, the boy was not a living being, but just an object that could be taken from my hand and given to Nha Ky. I tried to keep my breathing steady and reached for the phone on the nightstand.
