Chapter 5 — Mother Died, Father Repented

To collect this amount of money, I did almost everything. Late one night, Dad's off-road vehicle slowly drove past the night market. He obviously saw me, but didn't get out of the car. Just tell my subordinates to buy all the flowers in my hand. I stood there stunned, watching the car gradually go away. Yet I still naively thought that maybe he had finally softened a bit. As a result, early the next morning, Tuong Vi rushed into the hospital, raised his hand and slapped me hard.

“Your mother stole my man, are you also pretending to be pitiful?”

Tuong Vi deliberately shouted loudly, the whole hospital room heard. She cursed my mother as a third person and cursed me as an illegitimate child. Everyone looked at me. I was so angry that I was shaking and rushed to scream at her: "You are the third person!" She did not panic at all, took out two marriage registration books, and waved them in front of me:

“Your mother's book is a fake, this book is the real thing.”

"I am Hoac Lam Xuyen's legal wife!"

I rushed forward to see clearly. But she screamed again and rolled down the stairs herself.

"Brother Lam Xuyen save me! Your daughter wants to kill me!"

The next second, my father kicked me out and I fell hard down the stairs. My whole body was in pain as if it was about to split open. But from beginning to end, he just looked at me coldly, his eyes filled with disgust. Then he picked Tuong Vi up, without looking back, and rushed straight towards the emergency room. I picked up the bank card, like picking up the last straw to save my life. But the nurse told me there was not a single penny in the basic card. I stood in front of the cashier, my mind blank. I don't remember how I got back to the hospital room. I just remember my mother whispering and holding my hand, trying to force a smile at me. Mom caressed my face, telling me not to be afraid. Mom also said that when I get better, she will take me abroad, far away from this place. Mom said she would always be with me to celebrate my birthday. I cried and said:

“I don't want mom to die, I will definitely collect enough money for surgery!”

I went to the black market and signed an agreement to sell my organs. I sell everything I can sell, just to save my mother. When I returned to the hospital room, doctors and nurses were crowded outside the door. I walked in and saw my mother lying there, no longer breathing. Now, five years have passed. Over the past five years, I have carried my mother's photo with me, never once daring to leave her side. Now Hoac Lam Xuyen came to the door again, saying he wanted to see her. I hugged my mother's photo and cried until I couldn't breathe.

“Mom, I miss you…”

“I'll take you away, I won't let him find you.”

I don't know how long I cried, until the sound of keys rattling was heard outside the door. I suddenly raised my head. Dad is standing outside the door. His eyes glanced past me, stopped at the altar, and then fell back to the photo on the wall. The next second, his face was as white as paper.

Chapter 6 I immediately closed the door, but was still one step slow. Dad used one hand to block the door and squeezed in directly. He stood in the house, looking at the altar and the photo on the wall, his eyes turning red little by little.

“What is this?”

His voice was hoarse. I don't answer. He rushed a few steps in front of me, violently grabbed my shoulder:

“Tell me, what is this?”

“These are all fake right?

“Did your mother make you show it like this? Did she deliberately act for me to see?”

The more he spoke, the more agitated he became, and the strength in his hands became stronger and stronger. I was shaken by him until I was dizzy, and finally lost control and screamed:

“Let me go!”

But he held on even tighter:

“Where is Ta Tinh Mien?”

“Tell me, where is she?”

“She can't die!”
