Chapter 1 — My husband stole my research results and gave them to his juniors

The sound of footsteps became more and more rapid. The atmosphere in front of the surgery area was as tense as a guitar string. The security guard ran after him and shouted loudly, but still could not stop the man who rushed forward first. He was in his late thirties, his eyes were bloodshot, and he was clutching a fruit knife in his hand. The blade is not long. But it was enough to make everyone in the hallway step back simultaneously. Behind him was a woman with white hair, crying and staggering, barely able to stand.

“Who is the main doctor of the surgery?”

The man's voice was hoarse as if it had been rubbed by sandpaper.

"Before my mother went into the operating room, she was still healthy. Now you're saying it's an emergency!"

“Who will ultimately be responsible?”

Diep Thu's legs softened and she sat down next to the wall. Tuong Van Chu's face also changed. Director Luong immediately stepped forward to block the front.

"The family members are calm. The patient is currently stable, we will explain clearly to the family."

The man raised the knife.

“I don't need to explain!”

“I just asked... who is the main doctor of the surgery?”

The whole hallway was silent. Only the sound of breathing could be heard. Right at that moment... Tuong Van Chu suddenly raised his hand. His finger crossed Director Luong's shoulder and pointed straight at me.

“The treatment plan is hers to make.”

“She is the one who understands the process the best.”

“This has nothing to do with us.”

In the blink of an eye. All eyes were on me. It was as if Diep Thu had grabbed a life-saving buoy, crying and nodding continuously.

“That's right... the plan is made by Ms. Ha.”

“I just followed her plan.”

“Honey... I really didn't mean to hurt anyone.”

Tuong Van Chu looked at me. In his eyes was an undisguised threat. He thinks... I will still be the same as before. Because of the hospital's reputation. Because of the status of husband and wife. Because of the so-called great situation. But swallow all the consequences. But I didn't move. Even his face did not change. The man holding the knife took a step closer to me.

“Is that you?”

“You hurt my mother?”

Several security guards immediately surrounded me tensely. I gently raised my hand, signaling them not to provoke the patient's family. Then looked at the man, calmly said:

“Currently, my mother is still being treated.”

“If you want to know the truth, I am willing to cooperate.”

“But please put the knife down first.”

The red-eyed man shouted loudly:

“Don't pretend to be a good person!”

“They all said it was you!”

I took out a piece of paper with a red stamp from my bag. I didn't give it to Tuong Van Chu. Nor did I give it to Director Luong. Which was brought directly in front of the man.

“This is my resignation receipt.”

“The time stated was 11:16 p.m. yesterday.”

The man's hand holding the knife stopped. I took the second statement.

“This is the liability statement I submitted to the hospital yesterday.”

“From that moment on, any version that does not have my signature has nothing to do with me.”

"I have also submitted a written request to temporarily stop applying this option in clinical practice."

Then I took out the third photocopy.

“This is the plan used in clinical practice today.”

“First author: Diep Thu.”

"Author contact: Tuong Van Chu.”

“It doesn't have my name on it at all.”

The tip of the knife in the man's hand slowly lowered. The older woman next to her cried and asked:

“So... why did they blame you?”

I turned to look at Tuong Van Chu.

“Because they cause problems.”

“Before the incident happened, they said I didn't lack these achievements.”

“After the incident happened, they said the solution was my fault.”

Tuong Van Chu angrily shouted:

“Ha Thanh Hoa! Don't provoke the patient's family members' emotions!

My voice remained calm as before.

“I was just showing the documents to my family.”

“What are you afraid of?”

Director Luong immediately received all the documents and said in a deep voice:

"The patient's family and the documents provided by Dr. Ha all have legal value."

“Currently, the hospital has sealed the medical records and all drug use records.”

“Any responsibility will be determined based on the facts.”

The man stared at Tuong Van Chu.

“In the end, who is the main doctor?”

Tuong Van Chu's lips pursed tightly. Diep Thu cried until her voice trembled.

“I... I'm just an assistant surgeon...”

I turned my head to look at her.

“But in the last meeting document, the person listed as the main doctor was actually you.”

Diep Thu's face was pale. I opened my phone and showed a photo. On the screen is a photo of the operating room assignment schedule from this morning. Operating room number 3. Main doctor: Diep Thu. Instructing doctor: Tuong Van Chu. Person in charge of clinical procedures: Diep Thu. As soon as the photo appeared. The entire hallway felt like it was being doused with cold water. The man suddenly turned around.

“You guys lied to me?”

Tuong Van Chu reflexively took half a step back. Diep Thu screamed loudly.

“Not you!”

“It was Mr. Tuong who told me to write that!”

Director Luong's face darkened completely.

“Guard, control the knife.”

The man's hands were still shaking. I took a step forward.

“Your mother is still in there.”

“Now the most important thing is that she is safe.”

“Give me the knife.”

"Don't ruin your whole life because of a moment of anger."
