Chapter 10
Chapter 10 — My husband stole my research results and gave them to his juniors
The blue veins on the back of the Director's hand were clearly visible. Director Luong gritted his teeth.
“Animals.”
Tuong Van Chu's face turned pale. Still planning to open his mouth to justify. But the Head of the Disciplinary Inspection Department immediately interrupted.
“Seal the entire recording.”
The representative of the Legal Department spoke in a low voice.
“This incident…”
“The scope of the hospital's internal disciplinary action has been exceeded.”
Tuong Van Chu suddenly looked towards me. His voice lowered. As if finally throwing off the last layer of mask.
“Thanh Hoa.”
“Let's talk privately.”
“What do you want…”
“I will give it to you too.”
I looked at him. His eyes were as calm as a mirror.
“What I want…”
“It's patient safety.”
“It's a research result returned to its rightful owner.”
“That you must be responsible for what you have done.”
“Those three things…”
“I can't afford it.”
A distorted smile appeared on Tuong Van Chu's face.
“You thought you won?”
“I quit my job.”
“The topic is also frozen.”
“Three years of my dedication…”
“It seems like it's all been destroyed.”
I shook my head slightly.
“You are wrong.”
I opened my phone. Turn on an email.
“Half a month ago…”
“The Provincial Pain Management Center has officially invited me to participate in a multi-center research project.”
“What they see…”
“It's my original data and clinical follow-up.”
“Not the author nameplate that you edited.”
The director suddenly raised his head.
“Have you contacted another hospital?”
I calmly replied:
“I only bring the professional value that belongs to me…”
“Comes for those who respect the rules.”
Tuong Van Chu's face immediately became extremely ugly. At that moment... The hospital office secretary rushed over.
“Headmaster.”
“The health authority has received the complaint from the patient's family.”
"They asked the hospital to immediately submit all records of patient in operating room No. 3."
“The Office of the Provincial Review Council just called.”
"They will simultaneously review all of Chairman Chiang's nomination records in the last three years."
Tuong Van Chu's whole body staggered slightly. Diep Thu raised her head. In her eyes right now... Only fear remained. Right at that moment. My phone screen suddenly lit up. The call came... It was from my mother's nursing home. I just picked up the phone two seconds ago... My face sank for the first time.
“Doctor Ha.”
“Just now Mr. Tuong called.”
“Said that he would stop paying your mother's nursing expenses.”
On the other end of the line, the nursing home staff's voice was full of awkwardness.
“Doctor Ha, we know the expenses are always paid on time.”
"But Mr. Tuong just called and said that his account is the contact point, asking us to pause further care items."
I tightened my grip on the phone, my eyes colder little by little. Tuong Van Chu stood a few steps away, the corners of his lips finally curling up into a cruel smile. He didn't deny it at all. It even seemed like he was waiting for me to bow. I turned on the speakerphone.
“Please say it again.”
The employee on the other side paused for a moment.
"Mr. Chiang requested to temporarily suspend the extension of her mother's nursing expenses and specialized care items."
“He said he would arrange it directly from me in the future.”
The whole hallway could hear it clearly. Even the man is a family member of the patient stunned. Director Luong looked at Tuong Van Chu in disbelief.
“You used an old person to threaten her?”
Tuong Van Chu replied coldly.
“This is my family's private matter.”
I looked at him.
“My mother's nursing money is my money.”
Tuong Van Chu smiled slightly.
“But the contact person is me.”
"The nursing home follows the procedure, it's not like you just get angry at the moment."
Finally... He revealed his ugliest face. Previously, he relied on his identity as a husband to rob me of my research results. I want to rely on the three words "contact person" to stifle my mother's care. I didn't panic. I said to the other end of the line:
“Please check the subject of the contract.”
“The one who signed the contract is me.”
“My payment account is also my salary card.”
“Tuong Van Chu is just one of the emergency contacts.”
The other end of the line flipped through the file for a few seconds, and the voice immediately changed.
“That's right, Doctor Ha.”
“The subject of the contract is indeed you.”
I keep saying:
"From now on, cancel all representative rights of Tuong Van Chu to handle all matters related to my mother."
“I will send identification documents, a document to change the authorized person and a letter from the lawyer.”
"If anyone changes my mother's care in the future because of his call, I will hold the unit responsible."
The staff immediately responded:
“Understood, we will take note immediately.”
The smile on Tuong Van Chu's face immediately stiffened. I hung up. Then looked at the representative of the Legal Department.
“Please lend me a piece of paper.”
He gave me the paper. On the spot, I wrote a statement.
