Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — My Oldest Son's Secret Made My Ex-Husband Pale Right in Court
I use some special ways to get copies of these transfer records. This is my counterattack weapon. I arranged until late at night, my eyes dizzy. The phone suddenly vibrated. It's a text message from an unknown number.
“Be careful of your mother-in-law, she went to the hospital to get a certificate of depression.”
My heart jumped. Who sent that? I immediately called back, but the system said the number did not exist. I stared at that message, chills running down my spine. Chu Ngoc Linh got a certificate of depression? What does she want to do? A thought flashed in my head. According to the law, people with mental illness or violent tendencies are not suitable to raise children. She wanted to forge a certificate that I was depressed to take custody of my child! A great trick for pulling out firewood from the bottom of the pot! I immediately opened my computer and started searching for relevant laws. The more I watched, the more my heart sank. If the other party has real evidence to prove that I have mental problems. Even if I record and transfer money, I still might lose custody of the children. What should I do? I fell into contemplation. Suddenly, I thought of someone. My college classmate and best friend ever, Trieu Tinh. She is now the most famous divorce lawyer in the city. We haven't been in touch for many years. That year, because of Co Bac Van, I quit my job and cut off contact with all my friends. I don't know if she still wants to meet me. I hesitated for a long time, and finally found her phone number. I definitely have to bet once. The next day, I arranged to meet Trieu Tinh at a coffee shop. She looks older than she did in college. A well-tailored office suit, sharp eyes. Seeing me, she froze.
“It's me, A Tinh.” I'm a bit confused.
We looked at each other without saying anything, the atmosphere was a bit awkward.
"Sorry." I spoke first.
"If it's over, don't bring it up again."
Trieu Tinh interrupted me and raised his hand to call for service. She is still the same as before, her mouth is hard and her heart is soft. I simply told my situation in one go. Including the story of Co Bac Van's affair, his mother-in-law coming to complain, and that mysterious message. Trieu Tinh listened quietly, his eyebrows furrowed even tighter.
“Scum.” After listening, she only said two words.
“What are you going to do?”
“I want to invite you to be my lawyer.”
I looked at her, my voice sincere. Trieu Tinh was silent.
“Tri Ha, this case is not easy to fight.”
"Co Bac Van has money and influence, the lawyer he invited is a famous 'undefeated general' in the industry."
“Moreover, this depression point is very troublesome.”
“Once they prove it, you have almost no ability to turn the situation around.”
My heart sank.
“Is there no other way?”
Trieu Tinh looked at me, his eyes became sharp.
“First, from now on, you must have a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation.”
“Find the most competent authority and prove that your mind is completely healthy.”
“This is the strongest evidence to counterattack them.”
“Second, that message is extremely important.”
“This proves that inside the Co family, there is someone helping you.”
“This person could be their breaking point.”
“Third, it is also the most important.”
Trieu Tinh leaned forward, staring into my eyes.
“You must be more evil than them.”
“When dealing with hoodlums, we must use it the way of scoundrels.”
"They want to make you lose your reputation, you have to make them irreversible."
I was shocked by the cruelty in her eyes. Is this still the A Tinh I know, the one who cried because of a stray cat?
“I…” I hesitated a bit, “Can I do it?”
“You can do it.”
Trieu Tinh held my hand, her hand was warm and strong.
“You are not alone, you also have me.”
“I accept this case.”
“Lawyer fees, wait until you get the property and then pay it to me.”
My eye sockets immediately turned red.
“Thank you, A Tinh.”
“Sisters, why say thank you?”
Trieu Tinh smiled, like a rose with thorns.
“Let's go, first step, I'll take you for a mental evaluation.”
“By the way, help you find that mysterious person.”
We left the cafe, the sunlight was just beautiful. I feel hope rising in my heart again. Trieu Tinh drove me to the most competent judicial appraisal center in the city. The process was very complicated, taking all kinds of tests and questionnaires all afternoon. Results will not be available until a week later. Coming out of the assessment center, it was already dark. Trieu Tinh took me home.
“Remember, these days, no matter who is looking for you, don't pay any attention.”
