Chapter 4 — My Parents Were Kicked Out of the Wedding Table, I Announced the Wedding That Night

He smiled faintly.

"My dad is so strong, there's no danger."

"Because you want to force me to give in, do you even know how to curse your biological father?"

Right in front of me, Dad clutched his chest, cold sweat poured down his forehead, his breathing became increasingly rapid. I quickly caught him and said every word to the other end of the line.

“It's okay, go lie down and rest.”

When he spoke to me, his voice was cold.

“Tham Am, I give you the last chance.”

"Go back now, tomorrow the wedding will still take place as usual, I won't accept what happened today."

I bit my lip. Co Dinh only said two words:

“Sorry.”

At that moment, my father reached out and grabbed the back of my hand. His voice was hoarse but he still tried to speak clearly.

“Yin Yin... don't beg for it.”

I lowered my head to look at my father's thin hand, every blue vein clearly visible under the skin. I calmly said into the phone:

"Co Dinh, the thing I regret most in this life is ever seeing you as a human being."

Co Dinh smiled even colder.

"Tham Am, your humiliating plot is too exaggerated. It really makes me sick."

Having finished speaking, he hung up the phone. My mother cried as she opened the red wooden box. But dad hugged the box in his arms and slowly handed it to me.

“Am Am, wear this bracelet tomorrow.”

"My grandmother once said that for a daughter to marry, she must have something valuable enough to protect her face."

I squatted down in front of my father, shaking my head slightly.

“Dad... I'm not getting married anymore.”

Dad's hand holding the box paused. At that moment, the door to the room was kicked open. Co Dinh stood at the door. Lam Kieu Kieu followed behind, carrying a small bag of medicine in her hand. She spoke in a sickeningly sweet voice:

“Am Am, I brought you medicine.”

My eyes immediately fell on the medicine bag in her hand. But Lam Kieu Kieu never gave it to me. She took the medicine bag and went straight into the room, stopped in front of my father and bowed her head, pretending to feel guilty.

“Uncle, I'm sorry.”

“I really didn't know it was your medicine.”

As soon as she finished speaking, her foot suddenly slipped and her whole body fell towards my father. By reflex, my father immediately reached out to support her. The red wooden box in his hand... slipped from his hand. The jade bracelet fell to the tile floor, breaking into many pieces. My father looked dumbfounded at the broken pieces of jade on the ground. His throat moved slightly, then the next second, his whole body suddenly went limp, he slid off the edge of the bed, his whole body convulsing violently. I rushed forward in panic. Lam Kieu Kieu hugged her wrist and sobbed.

“Yin Yin... I really didn't mean it.”

I pushed her aside. Co Dinh immediately rushed forward, violently knocking me down to the floor. My elbow hit the tile hard, causing sharp pain to the point of numbness.

“Are you crazy?”

“Kieu Kieu has severe depression and can't stand the excitement!”

I stood up on my hands and knees. Lam Kieu Kieu nestled in Co Dinh's arms, the corners of her lips curled up slightly with satisfaction. Just a moment later, she immediately bowed her head, clutched her chest, appearing weak.

“Mr. Dinh... I'm so upset.”

“My medicine... I took it all...”

I knelt down and grabbed Co's pant leg Dinh.

“Co Dinh... give me prophylactic medicine.”

“I beg you.”

He lowered his head to look at me, the corner of his lips curled up sarcastically.

“Now you know how to beg me?”

My father's breathing became more and more chaotic. My mother cried and called emergency services, but because she was so panicked, she kept dialing the wrong number. I bowed my head, slamming my forehead hard on the tile floor.

“Please... it's truly life-saving medicine.”

Co Dinh just coldly picked up Lam Kieu Kieu.

"Tham Am, your humiliating plot is too exaggerated. It really makes me nauseous."

Walking to the door, he even turned around.

“Remember to come to the wedding on time tomorrow.”
