Chapter 7 — National Lazy Mother

Trieu Mai's voice was shrill and shrill:

“If I come to visit my nephew, do I still need your consent?”

Hua Van Van heard the sound of running out and looked panicked.

"Auntie, why did you come? Didn't I tell you not to come to the performance team?"

Trieu Mai held her hand:

"You're too honest to be bullied by this kind of woman. Is a star like her who has no use for men like her and still deserves to step on you to stand out?"

Mien Mien called me in the bathroom:

“Mom.”

I'm back:

“Don't be afraid, mom is here.”

When Trieu Mai heard it, she became even more enthusiastic.

"Do you still have the face to be a mother? It's been said on the internet that your child is afraid of the toilet, who knows if it was you who locked him up?"

I looked at her:

“Say one more sentence.”

Trieu Mai put her hands on her hips:

"What if I told you? With a woman like you, something will happen sooner or later with a child along."

Mien Mien stood at the door and suddenly rushed out, her face pale and scary.

“Not mom!”

I hugged her. The baby cried until she couldn't breathe:

"It's not my mother who locked me up, it's my aunt."

The whole yard was silent. Hua Van Van's face lost little by little blood. Trieu Mai still hasn't reacted yet:

“Which aunt?”

Mien Mien raised her hand and pointed to the assistant standing behind Hua Van Van.

“Her.”

The fruit plate in assistant Tieu Lam's hand fell straight to the ground. Apple pieces rolled everywhere. Hua Van Van reacted first, rushing to hug Mien Mien.

"Mian Mien, are you remembering wrong? Sister Tieu Lam always follows me, how could she lock you up?"

Mien Mien used all her strength to break free and hide behind me.

“It's her. She has a strawberry sticker on her hand.”

Tieu Lam reflexively hid his hand in his sleeve. Co Thoi Nghien has sharp eyes:

“Don't hide it, show your hand.”

The director's face was unsightly:

"Teacher Co, this is still livestreaming."

Co Thoi Nghien laughed:

“Livestream must be seen more clearly to avoid injustice to others.”

Tieu Lam was surrounded by several cameras, and there was indeed a strawberry-shaped Band-Aid on the back of his hand. Hua Van Van's tears fell very quickly:

"Tieu Lam, tell everyone, this is just a coincidence."

Tieu Lam's lips trembled:

"It's a coincidence. I don't know Mien Mien, how could I lock her up?"

Mien Mien grabbed the corner of my shirt, her voice trembled but each word was spoken clearly.

"The bathroom is at the shopping center. She said mom didn't need me anymore. She blocked the door from the outside and even filmed me crying."

I bowed my head and asked my child:

“Mian Mien, are you sure?”

The girl nodded:

"I'm sure. She smells of very sweet perfume on her, making me choke and want to cough."

Chu Thanh Hoa pulled Boi Boi behind him, his face darkened.

“This is no longer about program effectiveness.”

Trieu Mai still tried to argue:

"A child speaks nonsense and still believes it? Van Van is so good, how could the person next to him do this?"

I looked at Trieu Mai.

“You said just now, something will happen to the child who follows me sooner or later.”

Trieu Mai welcomes her:

“Am I wrong?”

“Now the trouble maker is on your side.”

Trieu Mai choked and turned to scold Tieu Lam:

"Tell me! Did Tham Tri Ha bribe you to harm Van Van?"

Tieu Lam immediately seemed to have caught a lifeline.

"Yes, it's her! It's Tham Tri Ha who told me to say that!"

I almost burst out laughing.

“I told you to lock up my daughter, and then told you today publicly confess?

Tieu Lam cried and shouted:

“I didn't lock her up. It's because it runs on its own. I was just passing by. Seeing him crying, I recorded a video and sent it to you."

I asked:

“Which friend?”

Tieu Lam stopped talking. Hua Van Van immediately blocked in front of her.

“Tri Ha, right now the most important thing is to calm Mien Mien, not to pursue responsibility. Forcing her to ask like that only makes her more scared."

Mien Mien whispered:

“I'm not afraid mom will ask, I'm afraid you won't ask.”

As soon as this sentence came out, Hua Van Van's expression completely cracked. The director finally realized what was going on and raised his hand to signal the filming to pause. I grabbed the nearest camera stand.

“Don't stop. Just now when I forced my daughter to recount her injury, you said the livestream could not be interrupted. Now it's my turn to investigate who locked her up, how can I stop?"

The cameraman looked at the director, not daring to move his hand. Co Thoi Nghien handed Dou Bao to the staff, standing next to me.

“Director, it is not appropriate to lock children up and stop broadcasting.”

Chu Thanh Hoa also said:

“I agree.”

The director's forehead was sweating:

“I don't intend to cover for anyone, I just want to contact the program's legal department first.”

I said:

“Contact me and call the police.”

Hua Van Van immediately looked at me:

“Tri Ha, do you really have to make such a big deal of calling the police? Perhaps Tieu Lam was just temporarily confused, she is still a young girl."

I looked at her.

“When my daughter was locked in the bathroom, crying until she lost her voice, she was just a little girl.”

Hua Van Van was speechless. Luc Tieu Da stood next to him and suddenly asked:

“Mom, why is aunt Tieu Lam filming Mien Mien?”

Hua Van Van squatted down:

"Tieu Da, this has nothing to do with you, go back to your room first."

“But mom once said you have to apologize if you do something wrong.”

Hua Van Van hugged the boy:

“Mom will handle it.”

Luc Tieu Da raised his head and looked at Tieu Lam:

“Have you apologized yet?”

Tieu Lam was asked until his face turned pale. Trieu Mai pulled Luc Tieu Da back:

"Tieu Da, don't interfere, don't let bad people teach you wrong."

Luc Tieu Da looked at me, then at Mien Mien. The boy said in a low voice:

“Sorry, I shouldn't have interrupted you while you were counting ducks today.”

Mien Mien pursed her lips:

“I accept.”

Hua Van Van's face became even whiter. That night, the program was in complete chaos. When the police arrived, the livestream had not yet turned off. At first, Tieu Lam refused to admit it, but when the police asked to extract the data from the day at the shopping center, she began to panic.

“I really just recorded a video, I didn't expect it to be this big.”

I asked:

“Who is the video sent to?”

She bowed her head and said nothing. Police said:

"If you don't talk now, you have to talk back to the station."

Tieu Lam cried and looked at Hua Van Van:

"Sister Van Van, I do everything for you."

Hua Van Van took half a step back.

“What nonsense are you talking about?”

Eventually Tieu Lam collapsed.

“It's my sister who said Tham Tri Ha took me to the shopping center, there were many people around, maybe filming some material made her impatient with me. She said that as long as the video is released, she won't be able to compete with me for a spot on the show."

Hua Van Van shouted and interrupted:

“I don't have it!”

Tieu Lam took out her phone from her pocket:

“Chat history still exists.”

The director wanted to step up to stop him, but Co Thoi Nghien directly blocked him face.

“Director, if you stop me any longer, you'll really look like an accomplice.”

The phone was confiscated by the police. Hua Van Van cried so much that she was about to fall.

“Those were just angry words, I didn't tell her to lock up the child.”

Tieu Lam raised his head, his eyes full of resentment.

"Of course you don't say it directly. You say the more miserable the child cries the better, it's best to make Tham Tri Ha unable to explain. You also say the performance team needs a reference character, if Tham Tri Ha is not dirty, how can you be clean?"
