Chapter 3 — One Card, Exposing the Whole Family

Taxi stops in front of 4S door. I paid, opened the door and walked down. In the brightly lit hall, next to the brand new BMW 4 Series was a group of people surrounding me, the atmosphere was as tense as a string. Ly Hao's face was red and he was arguing loudly with the sales staff, while Ly Manh stood beside him with his arms crossed, his face full of annoyance and contempt. Passing customers and surrounding staff couldn't hide their curiosity, all eyes were on them, it was truly a bustling show that was worth watching. I took a deep breath, adjusted my collar, stepped on my high heels and stepped inside, my appearance like a bucket of cold water poured into a pan of boiling oil. All sound immediately stopped. Ly Hao was the first person to see me, his eyes lit up as if he had seen a savior, and he quickly rushed forward to hold my hand tightly.

“Wife, I'm here!”

“Quickly explain to them, our card clearly has money, their machine must have a problem!”

His voice was both warm and commanding, as if if only I appeared, everything would naturally be resolved. The salesperson behind me looked at me and clearly breathed a sigh of relief, his eyes looking for help clearly revealed. Ly Manh came closer, looking at me from top to bottom, his voice full of annoyance.

"Sister-in-law, why are you only here now? We've been waiting for half a day. We'll lose face."

“What happened to your card, was it frozen?”

I didn't bother to respond. I gently removed Ly Hao's hand, walked in front of the salesperson, and smiled politely.

"Hello, I'm Tu Nhuoc Nhien, I'm sorry for causing trouble."

My calm attitude was in complete contrast to Ly Hao's impatience, causing the employee to momentarily freeze and then quickly wave her hand.

“It's okay, we just want to confirm the card status.”

I nodded and turned to Ly Hao.

“Where is the card? Show me.”

As if he had grabbed a life-saving straw, he immediately took the card from his pocket and gave it to me, his eyes full of hope.

"Let's check it out, is there a password lock or is there a problem?"

I received the familiar card. The surface of the card was still cold as before, but now in my hand it felt like a block of red-hot iron. I pretended to look a few times and then took out my phone.

“Let me call the bank and ask.”

Ly Hao and Ly Manh's eyes were glued to my phone as if afraid of missing any details. I stepped aside, called the bank's customer service switchboard, and turned on the speakerphone. After connecting, a cold electronic voice rang out. I followed the instructions, entered the card number and lookup password.

“Your savings card ending in 8888, the current available balance is 0 yuan.”

The two words "not bad" rang out clearly in the quiet space of the hall. The air seemed to freeze in that moment. Ly Hao's face turned pale. He looked at me and then at the phone, his eyes filled with panic.

“No way, absolutely impossible!”

“Didn't your father say there were hundreds of thousands, why is it 0!”

In panic, he unconsciously shouted out his true thoughts. Ly Manh's face also changed unsightly.

“Dude, did she trick me? She transferred all the money!”

The surrounding area began to stir, and the eyes looking at them gradually changed from curiosity to scrutiny. The salesperson also became more cautious, her eyes were no longer as sympathetic as before. I turned off my phone, put the card back in his pocket, then raised his head to look at Ly Hao. My eyes were so cold that they no longer had any temperature.

“Ly Hao, it's not a matter of money now.”

“I want to ask you three questions.”

My voice wasn't loud, but every word that fell was as heavy as a hammer.

“First, my bag is in the bedroom, the card is in the wallet, how did you get it.”

His lips trembled, unable to say a word.

"Second, you took my card to buy a car worth over 400,000 for your sister. Have you asked me about this?"

His head bowed lower.

“Third, it is also the most important.”

My voice suddenly raised, the pent-up anger finally coming out.

“You, Ly Hao, and you, Ly Manh.”

The whole hall was silent, not a single sound. Everyone was stunned by this scene. Ly Hao's face was sometimes red and sometimes white, as if he had been stripped naked in front of the crowd. He wanted to argue but didn't have any reason. Ly Manh was also questioned until she was speechless, her beautiful face turned red with anger and embarrassment. A long time later, she screamed.

“What do you mean!”

"Isn't your money my brother's money? It's only natural that my brother's money is used to buy me a car!"

It's truly "of course". Truly "outsiders". I laughed. I laughed so much that tears almost fell. I turned around, not bothering to look at them anymore, walked in front of the salesperson who still maintained a professional attitude, bowed my head and apologized again.

“Sorry, today's incident had a negative impact on your store.”

"Those two people causing chaos here have nothing to do with me. Please take all responsibility and find Mr. Ly Hao directly."
