Chapter 1
Chapter 1 — Prosperity Three Jewels
Before getting married, during the pre-marital health check-up, the doctor said very clearly: my husband had congenital azoospermia and could not have children for the rest of his life. My proud mother-in-law held my hand and said: "Daughter, I have wronged you." I softened my heart and still got married. Three months into my marriage, I started vomiting. Going to the hospital for a check-up, the doctor excitedly said: "Congratulations! Triple pregnancy!" My head was pounding, my legs were weak. At that moment, her husband's phone call came, his voice was terrifyingly calm: "Which hospital? I'll be there right away." I looked at the three small black dots on the ultrasound sheet, my palms were sweaty.

Pre-marital health examination report, clear and concise on black and white paper. The doctor spoke to me and my future mother-in-law, Trieu Hue Phuong, in an almost sentencing tone.
"Mr. Tham's condition is congenital azoospermia."
“Medically, the possibility of natural conception is zero.”
At that moment, I saw very clearly, Trieu Hue Phuong next to me, the woman who always wore delicate and elegant makeup, the light in her eyes immediately went out. She held my hand tightly, her palm was cold and trembling slightly. Leaving the clinic, her eyes turned red, she pulled my hand, her voice choked.
“Nhuyen Nhuyen, it's the Tham family who made a mistake against you.”
“The boy Thinh Chau... had a miserable fate.”
"If you regret it now, I absolutely do not blame you. Even if the engagement contract is canceled, the Tham family will fully compensate you."
I looked at the pain in her eyes and remembered Tham Thinh Chau's cold face. He was always distant, but every time he looked at me, his eyes softened like melting snow and ice. He is the proud son of heaven, the only son of Tham Quoc Dao, the richest man in Van city, and the heir to the reputation of the Tham group. I have it all. Just lacking the right to be a father. I admit, I'm soft-hearted. Or perhaps since I fell in love with him, having children or not is no longer the deciding factor. I grabbed Trieu Hue Phuong's hand again, speaking softly but firmly.
“Auntie, the person I love is Tinh Chau, other things are not important.”
“I will get married.”
The wedding was held extremely solemnly. Everyone was jealous of me. On Nhuyen, a girl from an ordinary background, flew to a high branch in one step, marrying the dream man of all the women of Van city. Only I know, after that grand wedding, there is a secret that makes people feel heartbroken. Life after marriage is peaceful and sweet. Tham Thinh Chau pampers me to the core. He remembers every hobby I accidentally mentioned. During my period, he clumsily learned to cook ginger tea with red sugar. Late at night, I kicked the blanket off, and he pulled the blanket over me again and again. The nicer you are to me, the more I hurt for you. Many nights, looking at his handsome sleeping face, I couldn't help but think, how nice it would be if he had a child that belonged to him. He will definitely be the best father in the world. But that thought was quickly forced down by me. It was like a knife stuck in his heart, I absolutely cannot mention it. We are like a normal couple who have agreed not to have children, enjoying our own world. It wasn't until nearly three months of marriage that my body began to behave strangely. At first it was just sleepiness and a sudden dislike of greasy food. I think it's because of the bad weather It's cold so I feel a bit cold. But Tham Thinh Chau was even more stressed than me, every day he asked the kitchen to cook enough appetizers for me. Until that morning, when I smelled the cool cedarwood perfume on him, my stomach suddenly turned violently. I rushed straight to the bathroom, vomiting until the world was spinning. Tham Thinh Chau followed me in, gently patting my back, his eyebrows furrowed.
“Nhuye Nhuyen, I'm very upset.”
“I told Assistant Tran to make an appointment at the hospital, we'll go check this afternoon.”
I finished rinsing my mouth, weakly leaned into his arms, and nodded. In the afternoon, under the guidance of the Tham family's driver, I went to the best private hospital in the city center. Tham Thinh Chau had an unexpected cross-country meeting so he couldn't go, but his phone kept calling, telling me not to be afraid, he had everything. I hung up the phone, feeling warm inside. Sitting outside the gynecological clinic, I smiled and thought, "It's probably just gastritis, you're so worried." When it was my turn, I walked in. A kind female doctor welcomed me. After hearing the symptom description, she smiled and asked.
“Mrs. Tham, how long have you and your husband been married?”
I was a bit stunned, but still answered truthfully.
“Almost three months.”
“When was your last period?”
I thought for a while, my face changed slightly. It seems... it's almost half a month late. My heart suddenly skipped a beat. A wild but impossible thought suddenly appeared. The doctor looked at my expression and smiled as if he understood.
“It seems you've figured it out.”
“First get an ultrasound to confirm, I'll give you a prescription.”
I held the ultrasound sheet, my palms kept sweating. No way. Absolutely impossible. Surely the doctor was wrong. Thinh Chau... I lay on the ultrasound bed, feeling like the blood in my whole body was freezing. The cold probe slides over the lower abdomen. The young ultrasound doctor stared at the screen, making a soft "oh" sound. My heart immediately jumped into my throat.
“Doctor, what's wrong? Is… is there something wrong?”
The doctor didn't answer me, instead turned to his assistant.
“Quickly, go invite Director Vuong to come here!”
My head pounded, I almost wanted to explode. Done. Definitely an incurable disease. My life has just begun to enter happiness, should it have to end? Not long after, an older female doctor walked in, it was Director Vuong who had just examined me. She held the probe and examined it herself, her eyes glued to the screen. Time passed by every second, each second felt like a century. I was so stressed that I could barely breathe. Just when I was about to collapse, Director Vuong suddenly burst into laughter. In laughter full of surprise and joy. She turned to look at me as if she were looking at a rare treasure.
“Congratulations, Mrs. Tham!”
“This is not a disease, but great news!”
My head was blank, I didn't understand what she said at all. Director Vuong's voice rose a few notches due to excitement.
“You're pregnant!”
“And…”
She pointed to some black dots on the screen that I didn't understand at all.
"It's a triplets! All three gestational sacs are developing very well!"
I felt like I was struck by lightning. The whole person stiffened on the bed. Pregnant? Tam fetus? How is that possible! This is definitely not my result, there must be a mistake!
