Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — Prosperity Three Jewels
Looking at him like that, my heart softened. I wiped my tears and proactively held his hand.
“I won't leave you.”
I looked straight into his eyes and said seriously.
“Unless you don't need me anymore.”
He looked at me blankly, emotions swirling in his eyes. Finally he sighed and hugged me again.
“How can you not need me?”
He buried his face in the crook of my neck, his voice low.
“Nhuye Nhuyen, give me a little more time.”
"There's one last hospital, a genetic research center abroad. I sent my samples there."
“It is the most prestigious agency in the world.”
“Waiting for their results… if… if it's still the same…”
He did not continue. But I know what you want to say. If the results are the same, we will have to face the truth. My heart fell to the bottom. When we got home, Trieu Hue Phuong's eyes looked at us with undisguised sarcasm.
"What? I told you."
“No matter how much money we spend, how many hospitals we run, isn't the result still the same?”
“Thin Chau, should you give up now?”
Tham Thinh Chau didn't pay attention to her, just pulled me straight upstairs.
“Thin Chau!” Trieu Hue Phuong was dissatisfied and called out from behind, "Don't be ignorant of good and bad! I did this for your own good!"
"I'm telling you, I've already contacted lawyer Ly, the divorce agreement can be sent at any time!"
Tham Thinh Chau's steps stopped a bit but did not turn around.
“I don't need my mother to manage my affairs.”
He coldly threw that sentence back and closed the bedroom door. The days that followed were the most uncomfortable since we got married. It's like there's an invisible wall between us. Even though he still slept in the same bed, he still followed the habit of hugging me and covering me with a blanket. But I knew something was different. We rarely talk. He became more quiet than before, often alone in his office until late at night. I know you are very miserable. As for me, other than quietly staying by his side, there's nothing I can do. The atmosphere in the house is also increasingly strange. Trieu Hue Phuong, under the control of Tham Quoc Dao, no longer publicly caused trouble for me. But her eyes looking at me became colder every day. She began to accidentally mention talented young men or famous young ladies in front of me. It seemed to imply that even without me, Tham Tinh Chau was still a sought-after veteran diamond king. And I'm just a wife about to be swept out the door. I didn't pay attention to those sarcastic words, I just silently endured it. I put all my hopes on the test report from abroad. That was my last saving straw. Finally, a week later, Tham Tinh Chau received a call from abroad.

When the phone rang, Tham Thinh Chau and I were having dinner. The dining table was very quiet, with only the slight sound of knives and forks hitting the plate. Tham Thinh Chau looked at the phone screen. Is a strange international number. His hands trembled slightly. He put down his knife and fork, used a napkin to wipe his mouth and stood up.
“I went into the office to answer the phone.”
His voice was very calm. But I heard that underneath that calmness was a fierce storm. I watched him go into the office and close the door. My heart also jumped into my throat. It was a call from the genetic research center. The final verdict is coming. I I couldn't eat anymore, I just stared at the tightly closed office door. Time passes every second. Every second is like a knife cutting into the heart. I don't know how much time has passed. Maybe ten minutes. Maybe even a century. The office door finally opened. Tham Thinh Chau walked out. There was no expression on his face. Can't see happiness or sadness. He just stood there, across the long dining room, looking at me from afar. His eyes were very deep, very complicated. I don't understand at all. My heart sank little by little. Done. Hope is finally broken. My body shook, almost falling off the chair. At that moment, Tham Thinh Chau suddenly moved. He took long steps towards me. His steps were very steady, but carried an unspeakable urgency. He walked in front of me without saying anything. Just bent down and picked me up. I cried out, instinctively hugging his neck.
“Thin Chau, you…”
He didn't answer, just carried me and quickly left the dining room. Passing by the living room, Trieu Hue Phuong and Tham Quoc Dao who were watching TV were stunned.
“Thin Chau, what are you doing?” Trieu Hue Phuong stood up.
Tham Thinh Chau did not turn around, his steps did not stop.
"I'll take Nhuy Nhuyen back to the room to rest."
His voice carried something strangely suppressed. Lying in his arms, I could clearly hear his heart beating rapidly. Scary fast. He carried me upstairs and into the bedroom. Use your foot to close the door and gently place me on the bed. He didn't leave. He bent down, put his hands on either side of me, enveloping me in his arms. We are very close to each other. I can clearly see my image reflected in his deep eyes. In those beautiful black eyes were burning two hot fires that I had never seen. That fire seemed to want to devour me.
“Thin Chau?” I asked uneasily, "the results... are out already?"
He did not answer. Just using my almost greedy eyes, little by little I redrawn my face. From eyebrows. To the eyes. To the bridge of the nose. Finally stopping at my slightly trembling lips. Then he suddenly leaned down and kissed me hard. This kiss is completely different from every other time. No longer gentle or constant. There is only wildness, domineering and the feeling of being lost and then found again. He was like a long-starved animal, frantically snatching the air from my mouth. I was kissed by him until I was almost suffocated. Mind is empty. I don't know how long it took for him to let me go, his forehead touching mine, breathing heavily. His eyes were so bright it was scary.
“Muscle Nhuy.”
His voice was hoarse.
“Say it again.”
“Say what?” I still haven't had time to react.
“Say you love me.”
He stared at me, a weak, uncertain glint in his eyes. I looked at him like that, my heart was bitter. I raised my hand to caress his face.
“I love you, Tham Tinh Chau.”
“From a long time ago until now, I have only loved you.”
