Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — Return to Eighteen
The phone in my hand suddenly rang, I took it out to look. It was a text message from tablemate To Van: [Nhue Ninh, I bought a ticket to the amusement park, do you want to go with me?] The refusal that had come to my mouth was swallowed back. With To Van there, at least I didn't have to face Lac Tu Hanh and Uc Nhue Dao alone. I nodded once: "Okay." On the way to the amusement park, the three decided to take the bus. Along the way, Lac Tu Hanh always covered Uc Nhue Dao with an umbrella, afraid that she would be exposed to even a little bit of sunlight. I just took a look, then withdrew my gaze and pulled up my sun protection shirt. On the bus, Lac Tu Hanh did not sit with Uc Nhue Dao. Uc Nhue Dao sat alone in the back row, looking at us sitting in front, a trace of unwillingness flashed through her eyes. So he called me: "Sister, are roller coasters scary?" I casually replied: "It's normal." "My heart is not good, so what if I can't play that game?" Lac Tu Hanh turned around and smiled and said: "There are many other games in the amusement park, I will play with you the games you want to play." "Thank you, Mr. Tu Hanh!" I pretended not to hear what the two of them said, just looked out the window. Until my phone vibrated, I bowed my head, it was a text message from homeroom teacher Ms. Vuong. [Nhue Ninh, Bac Dai's request has been submitted successfully, it's okay to lose the paper, the system uses electronic records as the main one.] I stared at that line, my fingers trembling slightly. In my previous life, I thought about enrolling in Bac Dai countless times, but in the end I could only wait for a second-rate pedagogical school. But this time, I actually successfully registered for Bac Dai. "What are you looking at?" Lac Tu Hanh suddenly leaned his head over, I was startled, my eyelids twitched, and I instinctively pressed the screen lock button. Lac Tu Hanh's face stiffened. He sat up straight, his face cold: "Nhue Ninh, you have something to hide from me." I didn't explain, I just said a simple sentence: "It's a natural reflex, don't tear it apart." This sentence was what Lac Tu Hanh often said to me in his previous life. It was when I said he went on a business trip to buy a gift for Uc Nhue Dao but didn't buy it for me. That's when I said he didn't come home all night because he was celebrating Uc Nhue Dao's birthday. Every time Lac Tu Hanh said: "Isn't it because of you that I treat Nhue Dao well? Don't make a big deal out of something small." I turned my head to look out the window, trying to get rid of the bitterness that came from remembering my past life. When the bus stopped in front of the amusement park gate, To Van waited for a while. She waved at me from afar: "Nhue Ninh! Here!" When I got closer, To Van saw Uc Nhue Dao behind us. She was a little surprised and pulled me aside: "Why is your sister here?" "Lac Tu Hanh called." To Van's eyebrows raised and she said nothing. After entering the park, Lac Tu Hanh walked in the front. He led everyone to play the merry-go-round and the electric car, standing next to Uc Nhue Dao throughout the entire process. Uc Nhue Dao was afraid to spin around, so Lac Tu Hanh slowed down to wait for her. Uc Nhue Dao was thirsty, Lac Tu Hanh immediately went to buy water. To Van's face became more and more unsightly, and she decided to open her mouth. "Lac Tu Hanh, you treat your future sister-in-law too well!" Lac Tu Hanh turned his head and said softly: "Yes, at least she won't hide anything from me and will let me see her phone." To Van was confused and was about to ask, but I pulled her back: "Forget it." I looked towards Lac Tu Hanh: "Then you can slowly go play with Nhue Dao, while To Van and I will go play other games." Lac Tu Hanh looked at my indifferent expression and his expression became even more unsightly. To Van was dragged by me for a while, then I turned around and saw Lac Tu Hanh tying Uc's shoe laces
Nhue Dao. “Nhue Ninh, isn't Lac Tu Hanh treating your sister a little too well?” I said softly: “Originally, he didn't want to take me to the amusement park, it's because Uc Nhue Dao has never been, so he came.” To Van's face darkened: "Can you endure this?" I looked at the giant Ferris wheel not far away and smiled. "Anyway, I don't like him anymore. If he can be with Au Nhue Dao, I will bless the two of them." As soon as the words ended, To Van's face suddenly changed. She tugged on my sleeve, her eyes glancing behind her. I turned my head. Immediately saw Lac Tu Hanh standing behind her, his face pale. The air was still for two seconds. Lac Tu Hanh stepped forward and grabbed my wrist, the force was so strong that it seemed to crush my bones. "What did you just say?" I felt pain, but still gritted my teeth without moaning. To Van next to her urgently: "Lac Tu Hanh, what are you doing! Let go!" Lac Tu Hanh didn't care, just stared into my eyes. I raised my head and calmly looked at him: "Lac Tu Hanh, I said it very clearly, I don't like you anymore." Lac Tu Hanh felt like someone had slapped him, his face turned pale in an instant. He let go, took a step back, and began to laugh coldly. "Okay, Uc Nhue Ninh, you're very good."
