Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — Sincere Feelings Are Considered Cheap by Others
6
The sky had just brightened. I drove a small three-wheeled vehicle, carrying a portion of just-killed pork to deliver it to the hotel, then returned to the food market. As soon as the meat was arranged, a few managers came over, looked at everything and then retorted.
"Your stall does not meet standards, temporary suspension of operation for one month, fine of one thousand yuan. Only after adjusting according to regulations will you be allowed to do business again."
I quietly watched them move all my belongings away. A red seal was stuck on the counter. At this moment, Ky Thien Thien appeared with a proud expression and a malicious smile.
"You smelly woman who kills pigs, it seems like there's something wrong with your meat, isn't it? Maybe the meat is of poor quality, or are you selling rotten meat to us?"
"We will sue you! Make you pay until you go bankrupt!"
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
“All of these things were done by you, right?”
She smiled deceitfully, pretending to be innocent:
“Don't slander me, it's definitely because you cheated that this happened!”
I nodded and smiled coldly.
"Okay. You want Trieu Chi Kiet? I'll give it to you!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Ky Thien Thien was stunned. I immediately took out my phone and called Trieu Chi Kiet. Called six times in a row, but he didn't pick up! I glanced at Ky Thien Thien, snatched the phone straight from her hand, unlocked it with her own fingerprint, then called Trieu Chi Kiet. As soon as the phone rang, he immediately picked it up!
“I told you not to call me during this time, wait—”
Without hesitation, I directly interrupted:
“No need to wait anymore! I leave you to her!”
"Trieu Chi Kiet, it seems I was wrong! I don't dare touch you rich people anymore! I just want to settle down and kill pigs, sell meat, and make a living. Can you let me go?"
The voice on the other end of the line suddenly became panicked.
"Love... Love Love? Why are you calling? What are you talking about? I don't understand! I didn't do anything!"
I laughed bitterly, my voice hoarse with anger:
"You didn't do anything? So why could Ky Thien Thien make people take away all the pigs I just bought? Why was my stall sealed?"
“Why didn't you pick up my call but picked up hers right away?”
On the other side of the phone, Trieu Chi Kiet suddenly fell silent. A strong wind whistled in the receiver.
"Yeu Yeu! I was just busy with something so I didn't pay attention to my phone. I'll come right away, wait for me! I'll explain clearly!"
I hung up the phone, went straight to the printing shop near the market gate, and struggled for a while to print out a divorce agreement. After checking the contents again, I returned to the counter satisfied. When did Trieu Chi Kiet appear? He obviously ran all the way here, breathing heavily and sweating profusely. He grabbed my shoulder and quickly looked up and down:
“Yeu Yeu, are you okay? I heard there was a fight!”
I laughed, gently pushed him away, pointing towards Ky Thien Thien.
“There was indeed a fight. But the one who was beaten was her.”
I wonder where she got her confidence, a flower seller dares to fight with someone like me who kills pigs every day? Ky Thien Thien immediately burst into tears and rushed into Trieu Chi Kiet's arms, his voice full of resentment:
“Brother Chi Kiet, I just came to buy meat come on! Apparently she sold rotten meat to me, so the stall was inspected! Yet she blamed me, snatched my phone, and even scratched my hand!”
I slowly took off my work jacket and took out the divorce petition I had just printed at the photocopy shop from my pocket. When I gave it to Trieu Chi Kiet, he was stunned and looked at me with confusion:
“What is this?”
I leisurely replied:
“I heard that you rich people like to make divorce contracts. I have already signed, without taking a penny from you, I leave empty-handed!”
“There is only one condition: From now on, you guys don't bother me anymore!”
Trieu Chi Kiet's eyes suddenly turned red. He went crazy and tore the divorce petition into small pieces.
“I'm not getting a divorce! Yeu Yao, I never said I wanted to divorce you!”
I slightly raised my lips and smiled faintly:
“No divorce? So what about Ky Thien Thien? She has done all kinds of shameless things!”
Unexpectedly, he replied without hesitation:
“You and she are just friends, my only wife can only be you!”
Ky Thien Thien was stunned. Seeing my mocking eyes, she immediately panicked, then quickly ran out of the food market. I didn't expect Trieu Chi Kiet to stick around like that. He held my hand tightly and said urgently:
“Yeu Yeu, I know I lied to you about many things, causing you pain. I swear, from now on I will never lie to you again!”
I retracted my smile and looked at him with cold eyes:
“But now you're still lying to me!”
He definitely thought that I had no evidence of his and Ky Thien Thien's affair, so he dared to blatantly say they were just friends. I opened my phone and played a video of the two of them in bed together. Trieu Chi Kiet's face immediately turned pale. I looked at him and slowly asked:
“Is there anything else you need to add?”
He couldn't say a word.

I tiredly trudged home. Waking up early in the morning, having gone through a long day full of fatigue, I fell asleep as soon as I lay down on the bed. When I woke up, a mouth-watering scent crept into my sense of smell. Leaving the room, I discovered that Trieu Chi Kiet had returned, and on the table was a table full of delicious dishes. Seeing me, he felt a little embarrassed, standing at the dining table like a hurt child.
“Yeu Yeu, before you said you wanted to eat seafood, I made it all for you. Come here and taste it.”
But this time, I just backed away, as if wanting to get away from him.
“It's truly rare. General Manager Trieu no longer pretends to be poor today? No more pretending to be bankrupt? Aren't you afraid I'll rob you of all your assets?"
With every sentence I said, Trieu Chi Kiet's face became worse and worse. Finally, he winced slightly and reached out to grab my hand, but I immediately pushed it away. He paused, then forced a bitter smile:
“I never intended to deceive you!”
But this statement made me collapse. Tears flowed and I couldn't hold back.
“Didn't mean to trick me?”
“So for the past three years, who have I worked day and night for?”
“Who said the company is bankrupt and has huge debts that need to be paid?”
“I killed pigs, begged each person to cooperate in buying meat, even because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough money to pay your debt, I went to the hospital to sell blood!”
“Now you tell me that you never wanted to cheat I?"
Every word, every sentence, I screamed in tears. Trieu Chi Kiet took two steps back, bumped into the table, and couldn't say anything. Hot seafood broth was poured on him, but he didn't show any pain.
"You obviously have money, you can buy expensive seafood for Ky Thien Thien, you can open flower shops for her all over the city, you can get up early to buy dumplings for her..."
“What about me?”
“For the past three years, I have only been able to eat potatoes and stir-fried vegetables, and every day you only know how to repeat the phrase 'must pay the debt'!”
“I have suffered with you for three years, doing my best to help you pay off every penny of debt, but I have never felt a bit of love from you!”
Every sentence, every word, I screamed like my heart was tearing apart, my chest was heaving violently. I picked up the shrimp on the table and threw it hard at Trieu Chi Kiet.
“Go away! Get out of my house now!”
“Trieu Chi Kiet, I think I said it very clearly! I also saw the divorce petition. If there's anything you don't like, I can fix it, but I don't want to see you again!”
Using the last bit of strength, I pushed him out of the house. As soon as the door slammed shut, I could no longer support myself, my body fell limply to the floor, leaning against the door and sobbing. Over the past three years, I've sacrificed so much, but the end result wasn't worth a penny... The next day, I calmed down. Since the stall was still sealed, I decided to look for a temporary job. As soon as I opened the door, a figure rolled down right in front of me. Trieu Chi Kiet huddled at my door all night, his face pale from the cold. He saw me waking up, immediately raised his head, his voice was a bit trembling:
“Yeu Yeu, are you awake? Where are you going so early?”
I looked at him coldly, without any pity left.
“Please stop blocking my door. If not, I'll report it to the police.”
