Chapter 20
Chapter 20 — The 12th-Floor Kitchen Contract
Two months before the wedding, Diem Tram and Khang decided to organize a short trip to the beach to temporarily put aside all the chaos of work and enjoy precious private time before entering the busiest stage of wedding preparation. "I think we deserve a break after everything we've been through," Khang said when suggesting the trip.
"I completely agree," Diem Tram replied, unable to hide her excitement at the rare opportunity for the two to spend all their time together without being influenced by work.
The beach trip took place in a relaxing, romantic atmosphere, with mornings together welcoming the sunrise, afternoons walking along the sand, and evenings sitting together watching the stars, sharing dreams and plans for the common future that the two of them are building together.

"Did you ever think that my life would turn in a completely different direction?" Diem Tram asked one evening, as the two sat on the sand, watching the waves gently lapping under the moonlight.
"Not at all," Khang replied honestly. "I thought my life would only revolve around work, my responsibilities to my family, and the legacy my grandmother left behind. I never thought I would find such a sincere, profound love."
"Me too," Diem Tram replied, resting her head on his shoulder. "I used to think that my life would only revolve around running the bakery and taking care of my mother. I never dared to dream of complete happiness like this."
They sat quietly together, enjoying a rare moment of peace, both feeling more deeply than ever the magical journey that had brought them together, a journey that began with a calculated decision, but ended with the most sincere love they had ever experienced.

During that trip, Khang also took the time to call and update Kien on the work situation, ensuring all restaurant activities continued smoothly during his absence. "Everything is fine," Kien reported by phone. "You can rest assured and enjoy your vacation, don't worry about work."
"Thank you," Khang replied, feeling much more reassured by his trusted partner's thoughtful commitment. He turned to look at Diem Tram standing nearby watching the sunset, feeling a complete peace that he had never felt before in his busy work life.
On the last evening of the trip, when the two had a romantic dinner together at a small coastal restaurant, Diem Tram suddenly asked a question that she had been thinking about for a long time. "Do you think, after the wedding, we should have any plans for the further future?" she asked, her eyes filled with curiosity.

Khang pondered for a moment before answering. "I think, I want to build a small family with you," he said, his voice sincere. "I want to have children, to see you teach them how to bake, to build a real home with you, not just contract pages like when we started."
That sincere sharing made Diem Tram unable to hide her emotions. "I wish that too," she replied, holding his hand tightly. "I want to build a family full of love, where our children grow up in warmth, inheriting both my love for baking and your passion for food."
"I believe we will have a wonderful future," Khang said, squeezing her hand. "It's not just the upcoming wedding, but a long journey ahead, where we will build and nurture each day together."
They sat together, enjoying the last romantic dinner of the trip, both of their eyes filled with hope for a bright future waiting ahead - a future built on a solid foundation of sincere love, absolute trust, and a beginning that had become more complete than any dream they had ever dared to think of.

On the way back to the city after the trip, Diem Tram received a call from Hoai Thu with an unexpected proposal. "Miss Tram, there is a large supermarket chain that wants to cooperate in distributing our packaged cake products," Hoai Thu announced, her voice full of excitement. "This could be an opportunity to expand the brand on a much larger scale."
"I will carefully consider this proposal when I get home," Diem Tram replied, feeling that a new development opportunity was opening up for her career. She glanced at Khang and shared the good news she had just received.
"It's a great opportunity," Khang commented, unable to hide his pride at the continued development of the brand that Diem Tram has worked so hard to build. "I believe that you are completely capable of turning your family's small bakery into a strong, well-known brand."
"I don't want to grow so fast that I lose the quality and meticulousness that have made the shop famous," Diem Tram shared, demonstrating the necessary caution in her business thinking. "I want every step of development to be carefully considered, ensuring core values are maintained."

When they returned to the city, Diem Tram immediately began carefully researching the cooperation proposal from the supermarket chain, consulting with both Khang and the business consulting team he introduced. After many days of consideration, she decided to agree to cooperate, but with strict terms to ensure product quality is always maintained at the highest level.
"I've decided," Diem Tram informed Hoai Thu in a small group meeting. "We will collaborate, but only offer a limited product line, manufactured under strict processes to ensure consistent quality with what customers have always loved at the salon."
"It was a wise decision," Hoai Thu agreed, unable to hide her confidence in her close friend's business vision. "I believe, with this caution, our brand will develop sustainably, without losing the identity that has made it successful."
News of the new cooperation was quickly announced, receiving positive reception from both the media and long-time customers, who still believe in the quality that Diem Tram bakery has built over the years. Facing the continuous development of both career and love, Diem Tram feels more clearly than ever that she is living fully with her dreams, building a meaningful life based on the passion, talent and sincere love that she has diligently cultivated throughout the past challenging but also extremely memorable journey.

That evening, when Diem Tram told Khang about her decision to cooperate with the supermarket chain, he could not hide his pride at her cautious but ambitious business vision. "You've learned a lot during this time," he commented, sitting down next to her on the apartment balcony, watching the city lights twinkle below.
"I think it was the challenges we went through together that helped me grow a lot," Diem Tram replied, leaning her head on his shoulder. "From a girl who only worried about maintaining her mother's small bakery, she is now confident in making important business decisions, expanding the brand in a sustainable way."
"And I'm more proud of that than anything," Khang said, kissing her hair gently. "Not only because of my success in business, but because of the way I always uphold my core values, not letting any temptation overshadow my sincere nature."
They sat together in the quiet, warm atmosphere of the evening, enjoying a rare moment of peace in the midst of their busy lives, both deeply feeling happiness and pride in what they had built together - not only a strong emotional relationship, but also two careers that were growing together, supporting each other in a way that neither of them dared to dream of when they first signed that fateful contract.
"Only two more months left," Diem Tram said softly, her eyes directed towards the sparkling stars in the night sky. "I still can't believe it, everything happened so quickly and so beautifully."
"Me too," Khang replied, squeezing her hand. "But I believe that is the clearest proof that when two hearts truly belong to each other, everything will happen exactly as it needs to happen, at the right time, in the right way that both deserve to be received."
