Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — The Boss Wants To Be Nam Tieu Tam
I closed my eyes tightly, waiting for him to get angry. There was silence at the top for a long time. It took so long that I thought he would turn around and leave. Then, I heard his voice very light, very calm, asking:
“So why do you and your brother have different last names?”
I honestly explain:
“Because my parents previously agreed that the first child born would take their mother's family name, so my older brother's surname is Chu, and my brother's surname, Tan, is his father's.”
Ngon Tham asked again:
"That night, you kissed me... were you also teasing me?"
I suddenly raised my head, my eye sockets heated up, and shook my head vigorously:
“No!”
“That's sincere.”
“During this time when I talked to you and was with you, I also really... liked you.”
I bit my lip, my voice trembling:
"I'm really sorry, I can punish you however I want."
He raised his hand. I was so scared that I shrank my neck, screaming in my heart: It's over, it's over, do you really want to fight... The next second, he gently pulled my wrist, and my whole body was hugged tightly by him. The force hugged me so tightly that it seemed to engrave me into my bones and blood. His chin rested on the top of my head, his voice was both hoarse and soft, carrying luck as if he had survived an accident:
“Lucky.”
"Luckily I'm not married yet."
“Luckily you like me too.”
I was stunned, carefully raised my hand to hug his waist, and asked in a low voice:
“Are you… not angry?”
He laughed deeply, his chest vibrated, his hand holding me tightened a little more.
“Angry.”
“Angry at myself for being tricked into spinning around by you, angry at myself for almost going crazy in front of your brother, angry at myself for meeting you so late.”
He paused for a moment, his voice so gentle that it was confusing:
“But compared to being angry, I feel luckier.”
“Luckily I appeared not too late.”
“However, I still have something to ask you.”
I'm still basking in the luck of surviving the accident, now no matter what you ask I will honestly confess. I nodded:
“Ask, I won't hide it from you anymore.”
He seems a bit hesitant:
“So do you really like the gym photos I posted, or did you just like them out of politeness?”
“Huh?”
Thinking of this, my face immediately turned red. I bowed my head, my ears were so hot that they were about to burn, my voice as small as a mosquito cried:
“Of course it's because I like it... that's why I clicked like.”
Ngon Tham was stunned for a moment, then laughed in a low voice. His chest vibrated so much that my heart softened. He gently pinched the back of my neck:
“It turns out it wasn't polite, it was actually watching.”
“I'm stressed about this all the time.”
I buried myself in his arms, both shy and sweet, not knowing where to put my hands and feet. He gently lifted my face, his fingertips wiped the corners of my eyes, so serious that it didn't look like a joke:
"Tan Thien, I don't force you, but I want to pursue you from the beginning."
“It's not that I secretly love someone else's wife, nor do I want to be a third child.”
"It's the light and righteousness that pursues you."
My heart skipped a beat, I stood on tiptoe and quickly kissed him on the lips.
“No need to pursue anymore.”
“I agree. I like you too.”
His eyes immediately became incredibly bright. He lowered his head and kissed, forcefully going deep. I closed my eyes and forgot to respond to that kiss. This time, there are no other factors involved. It all comes from sincerity.

Waiting for us to hold hands and return to the cafe door, we discovered my brother and my sister-in-law in the apartment I haven't gone yet. As soon as he saw us coming out, my brother immediately stood up straight, pretending to admire the scenery, but his ears were raised as high as possible. I took a deep breath, pulled Ngon Tham over, and recounted the story of the post from beginning to end, the misunderstanding, the gambling, and the intentional acting. My brother's face became greener the more he listened, pointing at me the whole time speechless:
"Tan Thien! You're so good! Because of tweaking me, you ruined my image like that! I told you, why does an excellent person like me keep getting into trouble!"
"You were sent on a business trip for half a year! Who are you teasing?"
Ngon Tham coughed softly, calmly covered me behind his back, his attitude seemed sincere:
"Sorry, I misunderstood first, then took personal revenge on public matters. I will cancel the transfer to a business trip when I return."
My brother immediately changed his face and smiled brightly:
"Oh, we're all one family, there's no misunderstanding!"
"Boss... that's not right, brother-in-law! From now on, I'll rely on you to take care of me!"
My sister-in-law stood next to me, laughing until she couldn't stand up straight. She patted my shoulder:
“Tieu Bao, you really know how to play.”
“But finding such a good boyfriend is worth it.”

That evening, Ngon Tham held the phone and hesitated for a long time, finally opening the post that accompanied all of his secret love confessions, and the one he had vowed not to update anymore. He typed down:
“Update: Sorry, I went back on my word.
I'm here to update again. Thank you everyone for your concern during this time. The misunderstanding has been completely resolved. The girl who made me sad was not married, nor was she bullied. She is my colleague's biological sister. She was just delivering dinner so I mistakenly recognized her. The previous stubbornness, agitation, and thoughts of wanting to be a third person were all my fault. But luckily, I didn't miss her. She also likes me. Now we are clearly together. This article ends here, there will be no more updates in the future." I stopped by to take a look and couldn't help but laugh:
“Aren't you afraid that netizens will laugh at you?”
“Because we were crazy in love, the result was a big misunderstanding.”
