He wore a white blouse, stood in front of the operating room door, smiled and said to me:

"Tham Nam Chi, don't be afraid. I'm here."

I really thought I had met the light of my life. The phone screen suddenly lit up. It's a message from Luc Canh Hoai.

"I have a meeting tonight. I'll be home a little late. Don't overthink it."

I placed the phone face down on the table. At that moment, the doorbell rang. I opened the door. The person standing outside was not Luc Canh Hoai. It's his mother. Behind her were two maids following, looking like they had come to search the house. As soon as she entered the door, Ms. Luc used her handkerchief to cover her nose.

"This house is no longer in shape after you live in it."

I looked at her.

"Is the lady of the Luc family here for something?"

Her eyes glanced at my two suitcases and then laughed.

"I know that too. I know I should go away."

Two maids immediately went into the room and started rummaging through things. I stopped someone.

"Who gave you permission to touch my things?"

Mrs. Luc leisurely sat down on the sofa, looking tall and noble.

"This house belongs to Canh Hoai. You've been here for five years, eaten from it, used it. Now that you want to leave, of course you have to check to see if you're bringing things from the Luc family."

I looked straight at her.

"My things, I'll take them myself."

"Your stuff?"

Mrs. Luc laughed as if she had just heard something funny.

"Tham Nam Chi, from head to toe, is there anything that Canh Hoai didn't buy for you? A girl from a small district, don't think too highly of yourself."

A maid brought out my bag of documents from the bedroom. I reached out to take it back. Ms. Luc slowly spoke. The maid immediately poured everything in the bag onto the tea table. Identity card. Practicing certificate. Some bank cards. And the seal was carefully wrapped in old velvet. As soon as she saw the seal, Ms. Luc frowned.

"What ragged thing is this?"

She picked it up, looked at it, weighed it a few times in her hand, then conveniently threw it back on the table. The seal hit the glass hard, making a heavy "snap" sound. My face immediately turned cold.

"Pick it up."

Mrs. Luc raised her eyes and looked at me.

"What did you just say?"

"I told her to pick it up."

Mrs. Luc laughed.

"Tham Nam Chi, are you giving me orders?"

The maid standing next to him immediately chimed in.

"Madam, she's been pampered by her master so much that she's spoiled. She lives in someone else's house and still thinks she's the boss."

Mrs. Luc placed the handkerchief on her knee.

"Today I came to make it clear once. Canh Hoai is about to get engaged to Vu Vi. If you are still reasonable, take this card and leave Nam Thanh."

She took out a bank card from her bag and threw it in front of me.

"There are five hundred thousand yuan in there. Enough for someone like you to live for a few years."

I looked at the card.

"It turns out that the Luc family wants to evict people but is only so generous."

Ms. Luc's face immediately changed.

"You criticize a little?"

I picked up the card and placed it back in front of her.

"You keep it and buy Luc Canh Hoai some conscience."

The maid took a sharp breath. Ms. Luc's face completely changed color.

"Tham Nam Chi, don't be an elephant asking for a fairy. You've been with Canh Hoai for five years, have no title, have never met an adult, and don't even know which direction the Luc family's gate opens. Why do you think it is?"

I calmly replied:

"Because the Luc family is blind."

Ms. Luc immediately stood up and raised her hand was about to slap me. At that moment, outside the door came the sound of a key turning in the lock. Luc Canh Hoai pushed the door and walked in. As soon as he saw the living room being ransacked, his face immediately darkened.

"Mom, why are you here?"

Ms. Luc's hand raised in midair immediately lowered, and her tone also changed.

"Mom, come help me clean up the people who shouldn't stay."

Luc Canh Hoai looked at me, his eyes falling on the pile of flipped papers.

"Who let you touch her things?"

Mrs. Luc frowned.

"Canh Hoai, are you angry with me because of him?"

"I asked, who gave you permission to touch her things?"

The two maids bowed their heads, no one dared to speak. Ms. Luc was so angry that she slammed on the table.

"What's so valuable about his things? Don't forget, next week is your engagement with Vu Vi. Now you're still defending him, do you want to make the Chu family laugh?"

I calmly picked up each document and put it back in my bag. Finally, I picked up the stamp and carefully wiped it off with my sleeve. Luc Canh Hoai watched my every move, his voice softened.

"Nam Chi... sorry."

"You don't need to apologize."

I zipped the suitcase.

"I will move out of this house tonight."

He stepped forward to block the door.

"Where are you going?"

"It has nothing to do with you."

Mrs. Luc smiled coldly.

"Canh Hoai, have you heard his attitude? If you tell him to leave, he will still show off. If you dare to chase him today, it will be as if I never gave birth to this child."

Luc Canh Hoai stood in front of the door, not moving at all. I looked straight at him.

"Luc Canh Hoai, don't make me look down on you even more."

The last bit of blood on his face gradually disappeared. A few seconds later... He quietly leaned aside. I pulled my suitcase and walked out. Before the elevator door closed, I saw him still standing in the house. Behind her, Ms. Luc continued to let out harsh curses. But he... Didn't chase me. Even if just once. The second day after moving into the hotel, the whole hospital exploded. During the morning briefing, Chu Vu Vi wore a brand new blouse and stood next to Principal Chu with a gentle smile. Director Chu cleared his throat.

"From today, Vu Vi officially joins the Surgical Center. In the immediate future, she will follow Canh Hoai to get acquainted with the work."

The entire meeting room echoed with applause. Someone looked at me. Someone looked at Luc Canh Hoai. Tieu Duong sat next to him and cursed softly.

"It's really disgusting. The fiancee went straight to my ex-boyfriend's department, afraid that others wouldn't know she came to claim sovereignty."

Chu Vu Vi heard it, smiled and walked towards me.
