Chapter 4 — The French company paid me 2,000 yuan, the next day the entire chain was paralyzed

Finally, the Board of Directors could not hold back any longer. They gave Pierre an ultimatum: Within 48 hours — if the problem cannot be resolved, please pack up and leave. Under pressure like a mountain pressing down on his chest, Pierre decided to strike the final blow. He mobilized all the relationships and resources at hand, betting everything on a vital gamble: spending a huge sum of money to invite famous technical experts from Germany to help. That person's name is Hans — an old German man famous in the industry for his rigor and machine-like standards. The company immediately sent a private jet to pick him up from Berlin to Paris overnight. Pierre seemed to have grasped the last straw and personally went to the airport to welcome him, respectfully as if welcoming a national leader. But Hans didn't bother being polite. As soon as he got off the plane, he quietly went straight into the laboratory, without saying a single unnecessary word. Three hours. He stood in front of that pile of error codes and confusing code systems for three hours, without moving too much. Just constantly zoom in, zoom out, scroll the screen, read backwards, analyze forwards. The more he read, the more his eyebrows furrowed. The whole laboratory seemed to hold its breath. No one dared to speak up. All are waiting for the "final verdict" from this old man. Finally, Hans looked up and let out a long breath. He turned around, facing Pierre's pleading eyes. In English with a stiff German accent, he calmly said:

“This is the most structurally sophisticated and high-performing system I have ever encountered in my 30 years in the profession.”

“Whoever designed it… was definitely a true genius.”

Pierre felt his heart skip a beat. He swallowed his saliva and asked softly:

“So… can it be fixed?”

Hans shook his head, without any hesitation, his voice as decisive as nails:

“If we cannot find the person who designed this system, any attempt at outside intervention will only lead to the consequences: destruction of core layer data — permanently and irreversibly.”

He glanced at the ashen-faced engineers standing around and added another sentence:

“In fact, you have already begun to cause irreversible damage.”

“My sincere advice: stop all foolish actions immediately.”

“Otherwise, an invaluable system like this… will soon become nothing more than a pile of electronic trash.”

The whole room fell into a state... Hans' words were like a death sentence for Pierre. The German expert, after receiving a small consulting fee, took a flight back to his hometown. Before leaving, he left a meaningful statement:

“If you ever have the chance to meet the designer of this system again, please send her my deepest respect on my behalf.

And... also send a message to your board of directors that — arrogance, is the biggest enemy in the technical world.” Pierre's career, by that moment, was officially on the brink. While the company was engulfed in an atmosphere of gloom and despair, I received a private email from Leo. In just a few short lines, he told me the story of the company inviting experts from Germany and... a complete failure. At the end of the letter, he wrote:

"Vi, they're completely out of options. But you have to be careful, I heard Pierre is looking for some underground hacker groups. Maybe he want to use non-transparent methods.”

After reading, I smiled slightly. In a cold environment like that company, Leo was the only person who made me feel like I had a true "colleague". I quickly typed the response:

“Thank you, Leo. Take care of your health.”

Thanks to Leo's warning, I became even more confident. What do they think they are touching? This is a territory I created with my own hands. A system designed like a kingdom — the key to which is in my hands. Without my permission, anyone trying to infiltrate... the only way is to self-destruct. Every second, every minute passed, like a cold blade cutting into the final 48 hours. The news that the entire company's production line was stalled finally could not be hidden. On financial channels, red-hot headlines appeared:

“Leading French technology enterprise faces serious production crisis.”

“Stocks plummeted due to unknown system error.”

The company's stock price plummeted. Big customers who had signed orders worth millions of euros began to call in droves, questioning the progress, their tone was no longer as trusting as before. Pierre now locked himself in his office, smoking one cigarette after another. White smoke billowed up, covering his once arrogant face — now only a look of panic, fatigue and despair remained. And then, he… finally understood. Understanding who he once thought of as a small intern who could be commanded, actually was. A Chinese girl, quiet, resilient — used her absolute power... to tighten the throat of not only Pierre, but also the entire company. No need to yell. No need for threats. With just technology and programming, she brings all power... to its knees.
