Chapter 11
Chapter 11 — The new Director is the object of attention
“You also received threats?” I asked again: “Also?” He put the file bag on the table. "My mother's missing medical record page appeared in my car today." My father stared at the file bag. "Don't talk about these things in my house." Luc Nghien Tu turned to my father: "Uncle Tham, my mother's surgery was five years ago, were you also present at the hospital?" My father's face seemed to have been drained of blood. "I just came to pick up Tri Ha from work." "Then why did you sign the surgery commitment form?" I looked at my father in panic. My father clung tightly to the edge of the table. "I didn't sign." Luc Nghien Tu pulled out the photocopy. In the signature box, the three words Tham Quoc An are written in zigzags, like the handwriting of a drunk person. My father's lips were dry. "This is not my signature." I said: "Dad, look carefully." He suddenly slammed the photocopy paper on the table. "I said no, no!" Luc Nghien Tu frowned: "Uncle Tham, you don't need to get excited." My father pointed to the door. "You go out." "I just want to find out the truth." "Your truth is that you brought a knife to my house, intending to slash my daughter!" Luc Nghien Tu was silent. My father turned his back to the bedroom, rummaged through his things and found an old tin box. He threw the box down on the table. "Don't you guys want this?" In the box were a few bills, an old name tag, and a recording pen. I reached out to take it, but my father held me tight. "Tri Ha, once you take it, there's no way back." "Do you still have a way out?" He slowly let go. Luc Nghien Tu's phone suddenly rang. He glanced, but didn't pick up the phone. Outside the hallway, footsteps were heard. Three people stopped in front of my house. Leading the way was La Kien Minh, followed by a person from the Security Department, and a person holding a file of documents. "Tham Tri Ha, someone accused you of hiding the hospital's medical records, suspected of disclosing personal information of patients. Please follow us back to the hospital to investigate." Hua Duong ran up from the stairs, panting. "Tri Ha, they just searched your locker in the file room!" La Kien Minh saw that Luc Nghien Tu was also here. He paused for a moment, but immediately straightened his back. "Director Luc, you're also here. That's great, evidence has been found." He held up a sealed bag. Inside is Luc Thanh Ha's missing original medical record page. It clearly shows my signature on it. Kieu Man walked out from the hidden corner of the stairs. "Doctor Tham, it turns out you married." When I was taken back to the hospital, the examination hall was still quite crowded. La Kien Minh deliberately did not go through the back door. People from the Security Department walked left and right to escort me, as if they were arresting a drug thief. Kieu Man walked behind, her voice neither loud nor soft. "Doctor Tham, wouldn't it be better for you to admit your guilt early? At this point, everyone will lose face." Hua Duong was stopped two meters away. "Kieu Man, what are you barking at! The stuff was put in by you guys!" La Kien Minh turned around and shouted: "If you still disturb the order, you will be suspended from work." The janitor stopped mopping the floor, and the girl at the registration counter looked halfway out of her head. When I passed by the bulletin board, the disciplinary notice posted on it had not yet been torn down. Luc Nghien Tu followed behind me without saying a word. There are seven people in the meeting room. Human Resources Department, Medical Affairs Department, Disciplinary Committee, Head of Cardiovascular Surgery Department, and Luc Nghien Tu. La Kien Minh put the sealed bag on the table. "Evidence was found in Tham Tri Ha's personal locker, the original medical record was lost for five years, today he was caught with his hand and pressed to his forehead." I sat opposite. "Who opened the locker?" "Opened the locker to check according to regulations." "I was not there." "There were two witnesses." "Who?" Kieu Man raised her hand: "Me and nurse Chu."
