After sending the message, I switched my phone to silent mode. Then start arranging handover documents in the department. The decision to mobilize to support Xinjiang was approved very quickly. Early the next morning I will board the plane. During these two days, I had to hand over all the patients I was in charge of to other doctors. The head nurse leaned closer, lowered his voice and asked:

"Doctor Tong, are you really planning to go to Xinjiang? What about Zhou Ze?"

“He already has someone to take care of, so he doesn't have the heart to take care of me.”

The head nurse sighed.

"That Lam Dao girl is really clingy like a leech. Every time the two of them have something to do, it's like she gets sick."

At that moment, the clinic door was pushed open. Lam Dao hugged his chest, frowned and walked in. Chu Trach carefully supported her as if cradling a fragile object. As soon as he saw me, he stopped.

"Tinh Tinh? Haven't you gone to the airport yet?"

“Work is being handed over.”

I didn't bother to raise my head and continued to write the medical record. Lam Dao leaned weakly on the chair.

“Doctor Tong, my chest hurts so much, it's hard to breathe.”

I put down my pen and looked at her. Her face was rosy, her breathing was steady, not even a drop of cold sweat. Acting like this without going to the movies is a waste of talent.

“Have you registered for examination yet?”

"Okay. I intentionally registered with the correct doctor's specialist number."

Lam Dao gave me the examination form. I took it and glanced at it.

"Where does it hurt? How does it hurt? How long has it been?"

"It's the kind of pain that comes from time to time. It started last night."

As she spoke, she snuggled close to Chu Trach's arms. Chu Trach hugged her heartbroken.

"Tinh Tinh, please prescribe some medicine for her. Last night she was in so much pain that she stayed up all night."

I put the stethoscope around my neck.

“I'm a doctor, not an angel.”

"If you want to see a doctor, you have to do a test. You should have an electrocardiogram first, then a heart enzyme test."

I quickly entered the instructions on the computer, printed out the slip and gave it to Chu Trach. He didn't accept.

"What's the point of doing that? She just has chest tightness due to emotional excitement. I'll prescribe some fast-acting Cuu Tam medicine and that'll do it."

“Chu Trach, you are also a well-educated person.”

“Is the fast-acting Heart Rescue Pill something that can be taken casually?”

I looked at him coldly. Lam Dao's eyes immediately turned red, tears falling.

“Ah Trach, don't blame Dr. Tong.”

“Maybe she was angry because I was with you last night so she intentionally made it difficult for me.”

"I won't examine you anymore. Let's go."

She struggled to stand up, then fell limply into Chu Trach's arms. Chu Trach's anger flared up immediately. He slammed it down on my desk.

"Tong Tinh! Do you still have medical ethics?"

"If you're dissatisfied with me, aim it at me. Why are you venting your anger on the patient?"

“Dao Dao is in so much pain, why do you still make her run up and down for tests?”

The patient and nurse outside curiously poked their heads in to look. I stood up and looked straight at Chu Trach.

"My medical ethics are not to arbitrarily prescribe medication to any patient without a confirmed diagnosis."

“If you come for a check-up, you must follow the hospital's regulations.”

“If you don't like it, just go complain to me.”

I placed the test form firmly on the table.

"If you want to be examined, then get examined. If you don't want to be examined, then get out. There are still many patients waiting behind."

Chu Trach was so angry that his face turned blue meters.

"Very good, Tong Tinh. You're good."

“If you don't prescribe medicine for her today, this marriage will be over!”

I laughed.

“I still pray but can't get it.”

"Ah, by the way, I'll remind you something. With her symptoms, a cardiovascular examination won't be of any use. I'd advise you to go to the psychiatric department."

Lam Dao's face immediately changed.

“Tong Tinh, who are you scolding for being mentally ill?”

I didn't bother paying attention to her, I directly rang the bell to call her number.

“Invite the next patient.”

Chu Trach pulled Lam Dao up.

"Dao Dao, let's go. There's no need for this cold-blooded woman to examine me."

“I'll take you to a private hospital.”

Look at the backs of the two people leaving. I conveniently threw the examination form into the trash. The head nurse walked in, looked out the door and spit out a contemptuous sound.

"It's really worthless. I thought the hospital was my home."

“Doctor Tong, don't take it to heart.”

I shook my head.

“I don't mind.”

“Trash should be in the trash.”

In the afternoon, after completing all handover procedures. I returned to the apartment I used to share with Chu Trach. This house was bought by him with all his money. At that time, he said he would add my name to the ownership certificate. But I refused. I, Tong Tinh, do not lack such a house. Now that I think about it, I was lucky I didn't add a name at that time. Otherwise, later on when dividing assets, there will be another battle. I pulled out two large suitcases from the storage room. Take all your clothes out of the closet. I didn't keep any of the things Chu Trach gave me. The clothes I bought myself, I chose a few practical sets and put them in my suitcase. The rest were all stuffed into trash bags. Cosmetics and skin care items on the dressing table. High heels in the shoe cabinet. Medical documents in the office. Whatever you can bring with you, pack it up and send it home. If you can't take it away, throw it all away.
