Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — The Prince Regent's Gossip Has Escaped
Tieu Hanh was so angry that he instead burst out laughing, his chest heaving violently, he only felt like his heart was fiercely ripped out by someone, so empty it hurt. He thought he was in control of her life and death, thought he was giving her a way to live. As a result, he was the one being toyed with like a clown!
“Where are you?”
Tieu Hanh roared solemnly, his voice echoing throughout the entire Royal Palace.
"Seal the city gate! Even if we have to dig three meters of ground, we must still capture her for this king!"
"Stop the car! Follow the instructions of the Regent King, the entire city is under curfew, no one is allowed to leave the city!"
At the city gate, the general's angry shout was completely drowned out by the sound of horse hooves behind him. Tieu Hanh wore a dark brocade robe and firmly tightened his grip on the reins. The blood-thirsty horse under its body neighed loudly, strongly blocking the front of a blue-roofed carriage that was preparing to leave the citadel.
“King!”
The deputy general turned around and dismounted, kneeling on one knee to the ground.
"My subordinates have checked, this carriage carries an order from the Royal Hospital, and is preparing to go north."
Tieu Hanh stared at the heavy curtain, tears welling up in his eyes, making people scared.
“Tham Quy Van, do you think you can escape from the palm of this king?”
He suddenly stepped forward, one hand strongly lifting the blue curtain.
“Get out!”
In the car, a woman wearing a hat with a veil trembled slightly, trembling and raising her head, revealing a completely unfamiliar face. Tieu Hanh's movements stiffened on the spot.
“Who are you?”
Tieu Hanh's voice sounded like it was filled with poison.
“Where is Tham Quy Van?!”
“Slave… I don't know…”
The woman was so scared that she knelt down right in the carriage with a thud.
“The slave only accepts money from others and drives the carriage out of town...
"That lady said, if someone stops the car, give this to the person stopping the car."
The woman trembled and took out a pure white envelope from her sleeve. Tieu Hanh grabbed the envelope and directly tore open the seal. On the letter paper were only two lines of delicate little flower brooches:
"Three years of falsehood are like being thrown into the mud."
“The mountains are high and the rivers are long, the Royal Family takes care of them.”
Tieu Hanh clenched the fragile piece of paper in his hand, his knuckles turned white, and the blue veins on the back of his hand bulged violently.
“Or for one sentence, it's like being thrown into the mud! Tham Quy Van, what do you think this king is? Is it a stepping stone for you to use in exchange for your father's life?!”
“Your Majesty calm down!”
The deputy general was so scared that he didn't even dare to breathe loudly.
"Immediately send people to search along the northern route. She definitely can't run far!"
“What are you looking for!”
Tieu Hanh tore the letter into pieces and threw it fiercely into the wind, gritting his teeth.
"The Imperial Hospital's orders are going north. She's not in the car at all!"
“This woman is as cunning as a fox, this is just a cover-up scheme! Go check the waterway!”
“Go check all the ferry ports down south! Even if I have to dig three meters of ground, I must find her for this king!”
Ten miles outside the city, Han Giang ferry wharf. A small boat quietly lifted off rope in the misty river rain. In the boat's cabin, a charcoal stove is boiling new tea, the scent of tea wafting out. I changed into a clean, frugal blue dress, washed off the makeup on my face, revealing a slightly pale but extremely peaceful face. The person sitting opposite me, Doctor Tham, also my father, coughed violently several times, his cloudy eyes filled with worry.
“I planned to plan the Regent Prince like that, with his arrogant personality.
“If I knew I was deceived by you, I definitely wouldn't let it go easily.
“Can we really escape?”
“Parents, please rest assured.”
I handed over a cup of hot tea, my voice so calm that not a single ripple could be heard.
“At this time, Tieu Hanh must be blocking the carriage going north outside the city gate.
