Six months have passed since the trial ended, bringing with it many positive changes in Thao Vy's life. The forensic training program she built has welcomed its first batch of students, receiving positive feedback from both students and management. Bao Nam's work at the new position also went smoothly. He and his team successfully solved several other important cases from the list of customers obtained in the previous project.

The relationship between the two, after many months of companionship and standing side by side through countless challenges, has now become deeper and stronger than ever. They spend most of their free time together, sharing cozy evenings and weekend walks, building a solid relationship on the foundation of absolute trust and understanding.

One weekend evening, Bao Nam invited Thao Vy to a small restaurant located on the shore of the lake, where the scene was romantic with shimmering lights reflecting on the still water. There was something different about the atmosphere compared to regular dates, making Thao Vy curious.

"Is there a special occasion today?" she asked, smiling when she saw Bao Nam looking more nervous than usual.

"You could say so," Bao Nam replied, his voice trembling slightly, different from his familiar calm demeanor. After dinner, while the two were walking along the lakeside under the gentle moonlight, he suddenly stopped walking and turned to face her.

"Thao Vy," he said, his voice filled with emotion, "since the first night we met at the crime scene, my life has completely changed. I have witnessed your resilience, your integrity, and your kind heart throughout a long and challenging journey. I realized, I do not want to continue the journey forward in my life without you."

He knelt down on one knee, pulled out a small box from his pocket, and opened it to reveal a simple but delicate engagement ring. "Thao Vy, do you agree to be my wife?"

Tears welled up in Thao Vy's eyes, not tears of pain like many times before, but tears of the most complete happiness she had ever experienced. "I agree," she replied, her voice choked with emotion, "I agree, Bao Nam."

He stood up, put the ring on her finger, then pulled her into a tight hug, gently twirling happily in the middle of a romantic lakeside scene. "I love you," he whispered in her ear, his voice filled with emotion.

"I love you too," Thao Vy replied, leaning her head on his shoulder, fully feeling the happiness she had been waiting for and deserved after everything she had gone through during the twelve long years of searching for justice for her father.

When the two returned home to announce the good news, Mrs. Hoa could not hide her joy. "The day has finally come!" she exclaimed, hugging her daughter, tears of happiness rolling down her cheeks. "I'm so happy for you, Thao Vy."

"Thank you, mom," Thao Vy replied, hugging her mother tightly, her voice choked with emotion.

Bao Nam stepped forward and bowed politely to Mrs. Hoa. "I ask for permission to take care of and protect Thao Vy for the rest of my life, sir," he said, his voice firm and full of determination.

"I trust you," Mrs. Hoa replied, holding Bao Nam's hand tightly, her eyes full of respect. "You are a man of integrity and dedication, I know you will always be there by your side, protecting your daughter."

All three people sat down in the small living room, briefly discussing plans for the upcoming wedding. The atmosphere was filled with joy and happiness after a long, arduous but also extremely meaningful journey that the family had gone through together.

"Your father will definitely be very happy to hear this news," Mrs. Hoa said, her voice low and emotional when talking about her deceased husband. "He always wants you to find a good man, worthy of you."

"I believe Dad is also smiling somewhere, Mom," Thao Vy replied, holding her mother's hand tightly, her heart filled with complete happiness when thinking of the invisible witness and blessings of her father who devoted his whole life to justice and family love.

The next morning, the good news spread quickly to Minh Duc, Mr. Sau and Mr. Hai. The whole group gathered at Thao Vy's house to celebrate together, the atmosphere was filled with bustling laughter and chatter.

"It's finally official!" Minh Duc shouted, unable to hide his joy. "I guessed it a long time ago, from the first time I saw you two looking at each other at the first crime scene."

"You're exaggerating," Bao Nam replied, laughing at his close colleague's teasing, proudly hugging Thao Vy's shoulder.

Mr. Hai and Mr. Sau could not hide their joy, both took turns blessing the couple. "We are very happy to see Ms. Vy find complete happiness after everything she has been through," Mr. Hai said, his voice filled with sincere emotions. "You deserve this more than anyone."

"Thank you both," Thao Vy replied, smiling happily, looking around at the dear faces that had accompanied her throughout the past meaningful journey. "Having everyone here to congratulate me, I feel like this happiness has become even more complete."

That evening, after everyone had left, Thao Vy sat alone in the room, looking at the sparkling engagement ring in her hand, filled with a deep sense of peace that she had never felt so completely in her entire life. She opened the small wooden box, took out an old family photo, and placed it next to the ring on the desk.

“Dad,” she whispered, “I have found the right mate. I believe, dad will like him." She smiled, recalling the entire long journey that took her from the first days of suffering and loss, to the complete happiness of today - a journey that she believes, her own father, even in another world, is also watching, smiling and blessing his daughter.

The phone vibrated, a text message from Bao Nam: "Thank you for agreeing to be my wife. I promise to spend the rest of my life making you happy." Thao Vy smiled, quickly typing a loving response before turning off the light, falling asleep with a heart full of happiness, ready for new meaningful chapters in her life.

The next morning, at the assessment center, Thao Vy's colleagues quickly recognized the sparkling ring on her hand, and bustling congratulations rang out throughout the office. "Miss Vy is engaged!" a young colleague exclaimed, causing the whole room to buzz with joy.

"Thank you everyone," Thao Vy replied, unable to hide the radiant smile on her lips, raising her hand to show off the sparkling ring for everyone to admire. She realized, her happiness Now it is not only personal joy, but also spread to all those around her, those who have stood by her side and supported her throughout the long and challenging journey.

The center director, upon hearing the news, also stopped by to congratulate him, his voice full of appreciation. "Congratulations, Ms. Vy. After all you have gone through and contributed, you absolutely deserve this complete happiness," he said, shaking her hand in a formal, warm manner.

"Thank you," Thao Vy replied, bowing her head in gratitude, filled with gratitude for the sincere support from everyone around her, who have become an indispensable part of her meaningful journey to adulthood.

That afternoon, while having dinner with colleagues, a young girl asked Thao Vy about her wedding plans. "Where are you planning to hold your wedding? It must be very grand to be worthy of the touching love story of you and Mr. Nam."

"I think a simple, cozy wedding with just family and closest friends will be much more meaningful than a grand one," Thao Vy replied, smiling. "For me, the most important thing is not the size, but sharing this happy moment with the truly important people in my life."

"You're right," her colleague nodded in agreement, smiling sympathetically. "After everything you've been through, a simple, sincere happiness is definitely more meaningful than any show off."

Thao Vy nodded, her heart filled with sympathy at that comment. She thought of a small, cozy ceremony where she could fully share her happiness with her mother, with Bao Nam, and with all the people who had accompanied her throughout her long and meaningful journey, a journey that she believed would forever be a precious part of her life's memories.
