Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — After the Rushing Water
"It was you who destroyed her original copy, ripped off her diving watch, and nearly lost her life! What right do you have to stand here and say it's just a small matter?"To Vi was so scared that she took two steps back, but quickly objected. She pointed at Co Tu's nose, exposing the truth: "Co Tu, what are you pretending to be in love with? When the boat drifted, it was you who removed her safety lock. It was also you who ordered the door to the decompression room to be locked. Now you put all the responsibility on me, do you think Tham Niem will believe it?"The two people in the once warm apartment tore each other's faces and attacked each other. Co Tu pointed to the door and told To Vi to go away. To Vi cried and scolded him for being a pseudo-gentleman from head to toe. Co Tu quickly investigated and found out that To Vi used an eyebrow trimmer to intentionally cut the seal of the waterproof box. He directly used his connections to notify the industry to block all of To Vi's commercial resources. Contract cancellation letters were continuously thrown into To Vi's mailbox. In just one night, To Vi incurred a huge debt. The travel blogger status she once boasted of has completely become a joke. A former colleague sent me a recording of their argument. I only listened for more than ten seconds and pressed pause. The recording was only half way through and I turned it off. Those belated quarrels no longer have the right to occupy my time. I turned off the audio interface and played the reconstructed and restored underwater short clip. In the image, the undercurrent in the deep sea rolls, the lens finally breaks the surface of the water, heading towards the sun. I added a subtitle at the end of the film: Dear freedom. After that, I opened the submission portal of the International Nature Film Festival and uploaded the work. The progress bar reached one hundred percent, I closed the computer. The door to the editing room was pushed open, Ha Du Xuyen walked in carrying two glasses of normal temperature electrolyte water. "Congratulations, the first step has been completed." Ha Du Xuyen's voice was calm. I took a sip of water and took a sip, my dry throat was soothed. "How many days will the next recovery work take?" Ha Du Xuyen pulled out a chair and sat down, opening the work diary in his hand. "Three days." "I have classified the remaining documents, and will not delay the next filming plan." Ha Du Xuyen nodded and marked the diary. "This afternoon's diving test, if you feel uncomfortable, we can cancel at any time." come on.” He closed the book, completely giving me the right to choose. "No need to cancel, I can." I stood up and walked towards the equipment room. Ha Du Xuyen stood up and pointed at the newly delivered diving suit: "The material of this batch of clothes has been upgraded, with better pressure resistance. Try the size first, if it doesn't fit I will immediately contact the manufacturer to have it adjusted." I walked over to try the fabric, it was indeed softer than the one I used before. "Thank you, you've worked hard." I turned to look at him. "This is within the duties of the project manager." Ha Du Xuyen took half a step back, keeping a comfortable social distance. "You go change first, I'll wait outside." The door closed, I looked at myself in the mirror. The scar on his arm remained, but the tired look on his face had completely disappeared. I changed into my diving suit and pushed the door open. Ha Du Xuyen is checking the pressure valve of the oxygen tank. He takes his work very seriously, every detail must be personally confirmed. "Let's go, go to the beach." He picked up his equipment and walked ahead. The sea breeze blew, bringing with it wet salty air. I strode after. The sea breeze blows from behind, I don't think about being in the water anymore. Ahead is the sea, the lens, and the life I have regained. A year later, at the premiere of the International Nature Film Festival. I dressed neatly in formal attire, as the main creator, radiant
stand on stage. Below sat the industry's top manufacturers and media reporters. The lights gathered on me, I calmly introduced the idea of filming a documentary. The large hall door was suddenly pushed open. When Co Tu rushed in, I almost didn't recognize him at first sight. He ignored the cameras and flashes of reporters around him, crossed the crowd, and ran straight to the front of the stage. His clothes were wrinkled, his hair was disheveled, and he no longer had the noble, noble appearance he once had. When he was three steps away from me, his knees fell to the ground. He held up a thick asset transfer agreement, his voice hoarse. "Nien Niem, this is an agreement to transfer all my assets." Co Tu openly expressed, tears sliding down the corners of his eyes. "I have sold the club, I am ready to give up everything. I swear I will never touch water again, can I ask you to forgive me just once?" There was a noise outside the hall. To Vi was wearing old, faded clothes and was blocked outside the door by security guards. Her hair was disheveled, long-term fatigue hung on her face. She screamed hoarsely: "Nien Niem, I have no way to live, please give me a way to live! I don't dare anymore!" Looking at Co Tu's hand reaching out, I took two steps back.
