Chapter 8
Chapter 8 — From Abandoned Bride to Tycoon's Nanny
I turned my head. A group of fashionable dressed women were standing in the hallway of the shopping center, the one in the front I knew. To Uyen Thanh's close friend is also the wife of company partner Chu Tu Hien.
“To Van, long time no see.” Trinh Vi smiled and walked forward, his eyes stopped on Niem Niem's body, "Whose child is this?"
“It has nothing to do with you.”
“Hey, the spleen is also huge.” The woman standing behind her mumbled softly.
Trinh Vi smiled.
"I heard Uyen Thanh say you've become a nanny? Is a talented graduate of Kinh Bac University going to babysit someone else's children?"
Her voice wasn't loud, but loud enough for everyone around her to hear. A few curious eyes turned towards this direction.
“Is there a problem?” I replied.
"Nothing. I just feel a little sorry. Before, you were recognized as a talented woman in our world, but now you're in such a miserable situation... tsk tsk."
“It's still better than stealing someone else's fiance.”
Trinh Vi's smile stiffened.
“What do you mean?”
“It doesn't mean anything.” I pulled Niem Niem away.
“Stop.”
Trinh Vi's voice rose.
"To Van, do you think you're still the same To Van as before? Now you're just a babysitter! What kind of authority do you have over me?"
I stopped walking. Niem Niem raised her head to look at me, her hand squeezed my hand tightly. I turned back to look at Trinh Vi.
“What about the nanny?”
“A nanny is just a live-in child!” The woman behind her quipped.
"I rely on my own strength to earn money to support my family. Some people call it a child. So what is the type of person who relies on men's money to buy handbags?"
The women's faces suddenly changed color. A voice spoke from the side. I turned my head. A man wearing a black suit walked over, about thirty years old, looking very resourceful.
“Assistant Qin?” I recognized him. Luc Canh Tham's personal assistant, I met once before at the manor.
“Mr. Luc sent me to pick you and the young master up.” He glanced at Trinh Vi's group, "Is there a problem?"
Trinh Vi saw the employee ID card on Assistant Tan's hand - Luc Thi Group. Her expression changed.
“Luc Thi… Are you from Luc Thi Group?”
Assistant Tan ignored her and said to me: "Miss To, the car is waiting downstairs, please." I nodded, leading Niem Niem to follow him. Trinh Vi's whispering voice rang out from behind.
"She... she works as a nanny for Luc's people? Luc's? Is that Luc's?"
"It's not Luc Canh Tham..."
"Impossible? How can someone like Luc Canh Tham let a nanny..."
The whispers grew farther and farther away. In the car, assistant Tan said: "Miss To, Mr. Luc told me to pass on your message. If anyone gives you trouble, you can contact me directly." He handed over a business card.
"Thank you."
“This is Mr. Luc's intention.” He added a sentence.
I looked out the window. How did Luc Canh Tham know that I was being harassed at the shopping mall? Assistant Tan seemed to see through my doubts.
"The manor's car went out, Mr. Luc asked me to monitor the schedule from afar. For safety reasons."
For safety reasons. Returning to the manor, Niem Niem hugged the newly purchased color box and ran upstairs. I stood on the first floor and was about to go up when my phone notified me that I had a text message.
“To Van, Uyen Thanh told me to tell you that on the wedding day she will announce your dismissal immediately. at the hall. She has already contacted her colleagues at my old clinic, by then the whole Kinh Bac will know about me being kicked out by my professor and dumped by my fiance. If you don't want to lose face, then obediently come and be a bridesmaid. — Chu Tu Hien.”
After reading it, I calmly deleted it. Not without anger. It's not necessary to waste emotions on this type of person. But I know this won't end that simply. To Uyen Thanh is not the type of person to leave it alone. She's been like that since she was little. Seeing that I had something good, she immediately wanted to steal it. You can't steal it, it will destroy it. The afternoon of the fourteenth day. The manor welcomes an uninvited guest. Not To Uyen Thanh. It's Lam Di San. She rushed directly through the security fence, wearing her red-soled high heels clacking on the marble floor, and rushed straight into the lobby.
“Luc Canh Tham!”
Her voice echoed throughout the first floor. I'm on the second floor doing puzzles with Niem Niem. Niem Niem's hands trembled. The puzzle tower collapsed. The boy's face suddenly turned white.
“Nem Niem.” I squatted down, blocking the boy's view, "Don't be afraid. Look at this aunt.”
The boy's lips trembled.
“She wants to take me away.”
“No one can take me away.”
“She will. She used to… she said she would take me away, then she threw me on the side of the road.”
