Chapter 13 — From Grandmother to Capitalist Queen

She walked back to the sofa and looked at Co Dinh Xuyen from above.

"So I decided not to be a housewife anymore. I went to work as an investor, studied finance, and learned how capital works. Not because I'm greedy for money — but because I don't want to become that 'thirty million is enough' type of woman."

Co Dinh Xuyen's face became extremely unsightly.

“What do you want to say?”

“I want to say — this divorce agreement of yours,” she picked up the file, weighing it in her hands, “is insulting to me.”

She threw the file down on the coffee table, making a dull sound.

"The Ban Son Nhat Hieu villa purchased after marriage is common property, I have the right to claim half. 60% of Dinh Xuyen Group shares, of which 30% is the added value after marriage, I also have the right to claim half. The foreign trust fund in your name, established after marriage, I still have the right to claim half."

She stopped, her eyes sharp as knives.

“According to the law, the amount of money I can get is not one hundred and thirty million yuan — but at least one billion.”

Co Dinh Xuyen suddenly stood up, the chair leg rubbing against the floor created a shrill sound.

"Lam Tri Y! I—"

“What should I do?” She remained as still as a mountain, "I'm talking about the law with you. You may not like the law, but you cannot deny it."

Co Dinh Xuyen took a few deep breaths, his clenched fist slowly loosened. He sat down, lowering his voice.

"Tri Y, calm down a bit. We're not in court, we're negotiating. The law is one thing, the actual operation is another. If you really go to court, wasting time, energy and money, it's not beneficial to you or me."

“You're right.” Lam Tri Y also sat down, "Going to court is not good for anyone. So I won't ask for ten billion."

Co Dinh Xuyen was a bit stunned.

“I only need two things from you.” Lam Tri Y raised two fingers, "First, 5% of Dinh Xuyen Group's shares. Second, one seat on the Board of Directors."

“5%?” Co Dinh Xuyen's eyes narrowed, "You're crazy. The company is raising capital, the share structure—"

“Because the company is calling for capital, you have to satisfy me even more at the negotiating table.” Lam Tri Y calmly responded, "If not, Dinh Huy Capital's appraisal team will come in next week. I will provide them with an additional document... extremely detailed."

Co Dinh Xuyen's pupils shrank.

“Are you threatening me?”

“I'm giving you a choice.” Lam Tri Y's voice was like the surface of a winter lake, under the ice was a bottomless deep water stream, "You can accept my conditions, give me 5% of the shares and a seat on the Board of Directors. In return, I will cooperate in completing the divorce procedure, not make any unfavorable statements about you or the company to the outside, and on the Board of Directors - I will be a responsible shareholder."

“What if you don't accept it?”

"If you don't accept," Lam Tri Y smiled, "then I will follow the legal process. The evidence that should be made public will be made public, the lawsuit that needs to be fought will be fought to the end. Calling capital from Dinh Huy will fail, bank loans will be broken, suppliers and customers will run away. Dinh Xuyen Group's valuation will halve within half a year — do you believe it?"

Co Dinh Xuyen was silent for a long time. It was so quiet that Lam Tri Y could hear the sound of the second hand clock hanging on the wall. Tick, tick, tick.

“I'm not the Lam Tri Y that you know.” Finally he spoke, his voice hoarse.

“No, I never knew what kind of person Lam Tri Y really was.” She stood up, adjusted the hem of her vest, "I'll give you three days to think. Before five o'clock on Friday afternoon, give me your answer."

She picked up her bag and walked towards the door. When she reached the door, she stopped without looking back.

“Ah, there is something I want to tell you.”

“What?”
