Chapter 5 — Great Lady of Cleanliness

I put my hands on the carpet and stood up.

“Who do I hurt?”

“Tong Noan Noan?”

“She canceled my engagement party, broke my mother's relics, wore my mother's shawl, and tore up my three-year-old manuscript.”

“Every time you say she didn't mean it.”

“So now I tell you.”

“I did it on purpose.”

Ky Thinh Lan's face turned pale.

“Chi Chi, don't force me.”

I walked up to him, raised my hand and slapped him. Chat. Everyone in the room stiffened. My palm was still bloody, leaving a red mark on his face.

Ky Thinh Lan did not avoid it. His eye sockets turned slightly red.

“Chi Chi, when you recover, you will understand that my father wants the best for you.”

He raised his hand. The bodyguard immediately stepped forward and held me tight. I struggled violently, but my body was weak and helpless because I hadn't eaten for two days. The syringe appeared in Ky Thinh Lan's hand. The transparent liquid emits a cold light under the lamp. My pupils suddenly constricted.

“Ky Thinh Lan, you dare.”

His voice trembled.

“It's just a sedative.”

“Just get some sleep and you'll be fine.”

The moment the needle pierced my skin, my whole body stiffened. Before my consciousness sank, I saw Tong Noan Noan standing outside the door. She didn't cry. She smiled at me. No sound, but the mouthpiece is clear. 【You lost.】 When I woke up again, I was in a strange hospital room. The walls were white on all sides and the windows were locked. There is a smell of disinfectant in the air that stings the nose. My wrist was fixed by a soft strap next to the bed. Tong Noan Noan sat at the end of the bed, leisurely peeling apples. Seeing me awake, she smiled sweetly.

“Miss, you're finally awake.”

“This is a sanatorium personally chosen by my third brother.”

“He said your illness is too serious and must be treated well.”

I moved my wrist. The soft wire rubs painfully against the skin.

“You destroyed my manuscript.”

She blinked.

She threw the apple peel into the trash, smiling cruelly.

As soon as she finished speaking, the hospital room door was pushed open. Ky Lam Xuyen and Ky Hoai Chau entered. Tong Noan Noan immediately changed her face, tears rolling down her eyes.

“The puppy just wants to peel an apple for her.”

Ky Lam Xuyen placed a file on the head of the bed.

“If I said that she intentionally destroyed the manuscript and that she also intentionally dropped the pocket watch, would you believe it?”

All three people were silent. Tong Noan Nuan cried and shook her head.

The glass cup grazed her forehead and shattered on the wall. Tong Noan Noan shouted, jumping into Ky Hoai Chau's arms.

“The lady wants to kill me!”

Ky Lam Xuyen roared:
