Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — Husband's Will
As soon as I saw lawyer Tong out the door, I immediately saw Quan Thuan Nguyet standing in the elevator. She wore all new G-brand clothes, from head to toe she exuded luxury and luxury. Holding a lunch box, smiling gently with two distinct dimples at the corners of his lips:
“Sister, I've been looking for you forever until I found you.”
Just as she was about to enter the apartment, I coldly raised my hand to stop her.
"What is up?"
She paused, her eyes slightly unhappy:
"My brother was very worried about me, so he asked me to bring the chicken soup that Aunt Ly cooked for me."
Her gaze kept moving back and forth, deliberately observing inside, making me almost laugh out loud. I closed the door and nonchalantly replied:
"No need. Go home."
She quickly blocked the closing door, her face warm with anger:
“I know you're angry, but there's really nothing between me and him…”
“Whether or not, it has nothing to do with me.”
I burst out laughing, a cold laugh that cut to the bone.
"Anyway, I'm about to divorce him. Wishing you both happiness."
A ray of joy suddenly flashed in Quan Thuan Nguyet's eyes, but she quickly pretended to change into a sad and worried expression.
"Sister, don't do stupid things because you're so angry. Children are born without a father... it's a sin."
“Besides… he really wants to have a child… As you know, my health is not good…”
My hand that was closing the door suddenly stopped. A strange thought suddenly rushed straight into my chest, so choked that I could barely hear my own voice:
"What do you mean? Do you mean... I gave birth to a child, leaving it for you to raise?"
Quan Thuan Nguyet's eyes were red and she looked pitiful:
“I… I just think the baby is so pitiful…”
“If… if my body was strong enough to give birth, things wouldn't have turned out like this…”
She unconsciously took a step back and stammered:
“Don't misunderstand… I'm really just thinking about the baby… If I could get pregnant… then… he wouldn't either…”
A stream of cold air spread from my spine to my whole body. It turns out that's the case. It turned out that Ky Le Chu stubbornly kept this child, resolutely refusing to divorce— Not because he still loved me. Not even out of concern for my health. It's that... the woman he truly loves cannot have children. As for me—so much like her. I can give birth to a baby, with dimples just like Quan Thuan Nguyet. Waves of nausea rose in my stomach. The last wire in my head snapped with a "thump" sound. I couldn't hold back anymore and gave her a strong slap. Right after that, I threw a bowl of hot chicken soup all over her. Her skin immediately turned red, she screamed and ran away in panic. My chest heaved violently with anger, I screamed uncontrollably:
"Go back and tell Ky Le Chu, unless I die! Otherwise—don't dream of my child calling someone else mother!"
Looking at the dirty branded dress, Quan Thuan Nguyet finally couldn't keep her innocent and gentle face. Her face was distorted, her teeth gritted:
"Jiang Tingyu! Don't let the water encroach on you!"
“Do you think that relying only on yourself… you dare to confront the entire Ky family?!”
I looked straight into her eyes, not avoiding her at all:
"Then try it! Let's see if I can resist!"
Maybe my expression at that time was too scary— Quan Thuan Nguyet didn't say another word, just stamped her feet angrily and turned around to leave. The door slammed shut. I slid down and sat down on the ground, my back leaning against the door. His whole body was cold, tears had already drenched his face. Fear was like a fierce wave, washing over me. I understand better than anyone— Once Ky Le Chu wants something, he absolutely won't let it slip from his hands. If he really wants to steal my child, I can't stop him. But I cannot, nor am I allowed to let him achieve that goal. This baby is the last support I have left. The only treasure in this failed marriage. No one is allowed to take it away! Quan Thuan Nguyet cannot! Ky Le Chu... not even better! A sharp pain suddenly shot up from my lower abdomen. The little creature in my belly moved slightly, as if comforting me. I choked up and whispered:
"Darling, don't be afraid. I will definitely protect you well."
It was completely dark. Looking at his pale face in the mirror, a scary thought suddenly arose— If… this baby had never existed, Then… would Ky Le Chu have let me go?
